OOC - Just to confirm, it's 200 gold divided by 6 people, so 33 gold, 3 silver and 3 copper each. So, unsure how peeps be buying multiple healing potions and antivenom. O.o Or is all that free, first come first served?
Nivi pockets a vial of antitoxin and suggests everyone take one as well to consume before the encounter with the ghost ship for an hour of poison resistance, other than Davak, probably, as she guesses the duergar is innately resistant already. "Have to drink these beforehand - they do no good after."
If others are ok with it, she takes both 1 sack and 1 Potion of Healing, explaining for the latter: "In a pinch, I can usually be quick enough to disengage and quickly give it to someone that goes down in a fight." (talking about rogues' cunning action). "But someone should take the other one, along with the Healer's Kits and the other sack, not to mention the grappling hooks. Maybe someone strong for the hooks." (She looks at Najax and Davak).
She grabs a coil of rope as an extra, and judges the ship's studded leather to be better than her own worn armor (which she sells at a general store).
Finally, at the general store, Nivi buys 5 flasks of oil. "In case we need to leave the Emperor of the Waves in a blaze of glory..."
Najax takes the rope and hook. He also grabs one vial of antitoxin as well. Najax can heal and take away poison by himself. But it is good to have some backups and save your holy power to smite the evil!
Before you leave, Aubreck tells you all the ship helping you all get there. A ship named Soul of Winter and her captain, Wolgar Windrune. They'll ferry you close and allow for transport of the goods but nothing else. As Aubreck had only paid them for transport and not for combat. The crew consists of dwarves and captain Wolgar was very insistent that the group stay in their cabins for the trip, as to not bother the crew.
At the docks, with checking in by the dockmaster, you all are lead to the Soul of Winter. One of her crew leads you to the captain, who was shouting orders up on deck. He's a short and stout man with a large beard braided into a single braid, tied off with an iron clamp.
"You lot the noble's group? Well if so, then you all better stay in your quarters. The way there will take about five days and I don't want anyone to bother my crew during that time." He says curtly
Nivi wonders why the captain is so sensitive about his crew. Does he expect rough seas or other hazards that require his crew to be completely undisturbed. She attempts to discern his reasons but fails utterly. Probably because she has next to no real world experience with maritime travel.
"Aye captain. Stay in our quarters. For five days... with these four lovely gents plus sweet lips talking inside my head..." Nivi already looks a little green, as if she is just now realizing that she had not thought this part of the job through fully yet. "Um, just let us know if you need a hand with anything."
She uses her invisible Mage Hand to tie the best bowline she can using her rope, and then casts Shape Water to cause a fountain of seawater to form a neatly flowing loop five feet high off the starboard side of the ship for a few moments before letting it go and heading to her quarters.
Brand took his 33 gold, 3 silver and 3 copper, to add to his current 5 gold. He went to the store first to obtain a Healer's Kit and buy 2 sacks and a bag of ball bearings and a bag of caltrops. He rejoined everyone at the docks and boarded the ship and helped himself to some extra rope and a vial of antitoxin.
He makes his way to the quarters that is to serve as his accommodation. He's happy to leave the crew alone, which also means he won't have to actually help them with anything. He has playing cards so he's happy enough to play the solitaire card game or maybe, just maybe, play with another of the group.
He wonders if there'll be food but even if not, he has enough rations to last.
" Your cabins are for small ones! I am not small! If you don't want Najax to break your ship, let me go where I like! "
The Dragonborn bares his teeth and growls at the captain. And his demand is not totally unreasonable. Najax will probably hit his head several times inside the ship. Also he tells captain that he will offer helping hand whenever they need strong arms and catches fishes for meals with his lighting spell.
"Try and break anything, then your lot can go find another ship. And you all will be sleeping in the passenger quarters, we've already got thirty dwarves stuffed into the crews. Unless you're an ogre then there should be plenty of space for you all." The captain says, "And I ain't confining you all to your rooms, you're free to join the crew for mealtimes. Just ain't taking any helping hands as my crew been on leave with that noble's gold he paid in advance, so they need the time to sober up. Any other time you all stay to your quarters."
Quill is rather satisfied with the size of the quarters they are offered, on account of being not all that much larger than the head of a pin. They quickly make their way to them and bundle themself up in a cot. From within the wrapped up fabric, the occasional ghostly whisper or eldritch slither can be heard.

"Ignorance is bliss, and you look absolutely miserable."
The first two days pass by quietly, with most noise coming from the ship creaking and constant snoring from the crew. Seems they've divided the crew between day and night, the captain shouting order during the day while the first mate manages the night. The third day passes like the rest, but the during the night you all can hear something coming from the top deck. What sounds like the clash of metal and running around. What mostly accents it is a shout you hear.
Dobin also jumps up and out of his room to see what is the source of clashing metal and raised voices upstairs as he grabs his shield, longbow, quiver and rapier. He readies an arrow for if it calls for fighting.
Nivi, for whom the days have been an interminable grind despite the occasional card or dice game, is practicing with her rapier when the shouts start. She grabs her longbow and raises her voice to explain what she's heard to the others, her owl Shiv flying over to alight on her shoulder as she does.
"Our dwarven mariner friends seem to have found some fish folk to spar with. I'm sure everything is fine, just fine," she drawls laconically.
With a bonus action (Cunning Action), she dashes up above decks and hides as an action, looking for anything fishy to fight.
NiviStealth to hide behind a mast or some rigging: 23 (rolled on character sheet, visible in campaign log).
Brand wakes up to the fuss and sees his companions rush out. With a sigh he gets ready, quickly. He casts Mage Armor on himself and goes to see what is going on.
((OOC: Brand AC now 17. In marching order he's probably at the back.))

OOC good point. I took it as 200gp each. Also the items on the boat, is that across all members or each?

Translation for Davak, Dobin, and Nivi:
"Get off our ship, you fish ****s!"
Quill pops out of their cot, and begins skittering up abovedecks. Their pointed finger begin to glow as they run, crackling with arcane energy.
