"I appreciate the commitment to honesty at the start of a conversation. I do have some melee capability and can cover Willin. Bob was it? It may be best for you to group with your halfling and elf friend." Looking to them, "In case it was lost in the chaos I am called Tama and this is Willin. I know Bob's name but what are you two called?"

I know Bob's name but what are you two called?"
"I'm Tru, Just Tru" she repeats with a smile, running her fingers through a tousled mop of red-brown hair.
"Pleasure to meet you both, and sounds like a plan to me." Bob then turns to Tru and Araroris, " stay close to me and work together, we have to be methodical but swift in the search to the keep. I'll do my best on the combat side but I worry in my old age I may be a little rusty." He says while stretching his back out quickly.
You set out from the small house in the southern part of the town towards the keep at the center of town.
Tru, Araroris, and Bob are on the right-hand side of the road. Tama and Willin are on the left. Because of Bob's local knowledge, you avoid most of the smaller groups of attackers roaming the streets. You also notice that most of the houses you pass are empty and on fire.
As you walk along the road, you can hear the attack on the town developing in intensity, and you can see the orange light of houses lit on fire brighten as more are added to the pyre.
A small river winds its way through Greenest. And as you step out onto the small wading spot to cross it, you see two things towards the center of town.
The keep stands strong. You see Castellan Escobert's forces defending it. But from the looks of things, the attackers are beginning to encircle the keep.
The second thing you see is something you start feeling. You all feel a strong breeze of hot air from behind you that stinks old meat. Before you can turn, you feel the air pressure rise, and an otherworldly scream pierces the air. A vast, blue dragon swoops over you towards the center of town.
As it flies past you, all see that someone in a deep, purple robe stands on top of the dragon, riding it, controlling it. Araroris and Tru notice that the purple-dressed figure on top of the dragon has a mask shielding their face.
It circles the keep, spreading fear amongst the defenders and spurs aggression amongst the attackers of Greenest. Then flies off toward the edge of town again.

(Did the dragon flying overhead match descriptions from survivors of Tama's villiage?)
When the dragon flys over head Tama will drop into a crouch then use hand signals to indicate moving to the house with the large bush or tree on the East Side of the road. Gauging the distance from the house to the keep it appears to her that she should be able to hit the attackers on the west side of the keep with her bow.
[Nature to see what Willin knows about blue dragons? 10. Not a lot, then.]
Dragons are all extremely territorial. Blue dragons are violently so. Being dragged out of their lair and participating in a coordinated attack like this requires extreme command presence from whoever is riding it.
As the dragon soars overhead, Tru instinctively begins to head back to the cover of the trees. But as she sees the purple clad figure riding on the back of the immense, terrifying creature, she is transfixed for a moment. Staring up at the masked rider - half in awe, half in terror
Seeing the people in the keep in trouble and the dragon she's sworn revenge on in opposing directions has her internally struggling with which direction to head.
As Bob watches the dragon soar overhead, the scream pierced his ears, but he doesn’t flinch, physically he is unbothered at the sight, however mentally his past creeps up on him. Instinctively he looks to protect the ones around him, almost trying to shield them from the dragons view, before reading Tamas hand signals and ushering his group to make for cover. He sees Tru freeze slightly, and gently pushes her in the direction of the house and tree.
At Bob’s gentle push, Tru tears her eyes from the skies and heads in the direction of the house, her bow at the ready. She immediately looks for a good vantage spot, where she can take cover and be able to fire at the attackers
Willin tugs at Tama's sleeve. "We need to get out of sight. The few of us are going to be no match for that creature right now."
Hoping Tama follows, WIllin ducks across the street to join the others, pressing himself against the wall of the building to try to stay out f the dragon's notice.
"I certainly can't take that thing on my own, let's help these people out and see if any of them can help us with that thing. I won't let it claim another town." Tama draws her bow nocking an arrow preparing to attack those around the keep using distance as her ally. "Accounts from the few survivors from my town say that the attack was similar to this one with that dragon attacking with lightning."
As you all arrive at the house, you realize it's abandoned but not yet set ablaze. You also notice that you no longer have Araroris with you, and as you all look back towards the crossing, you see her hiding in the reeds on the river bed.
When you look around the corner of the house, you see a group of about 50 kobolds, goblins, and humans gathering at the keep at the foot of the hill about 120 feet away. You can hear more from afar, moving towards the gathering. They all carry knives, bows, and torches.
As the first one to arrive at the house, Tama notices that militiamen are preparing to close the heavy set gates barring access to the keep, leaving the group to fend for themselves on the streets. Bob recognizes the silhouette of Castellan Escobert standing on the ramparts above the gate.
The dragon sweeps over the keep and makes for the edge of town, away from where you are.
The halfling looks at the strangers and sighs with relief as one of them magically heals Bob.
”I’m Tru. Thanks….thanks so much.”
She turns to Tama “I’ve got me daggers, but I’m not real good up close. Better with me bow”

"I'm Tru, Just Tru" she repeats with a smile, running her fingers through a tousled mop of red-brown hair.
"Ah, your name is Tru, I understand now." Tama says her almond colored cheeks turning a little bit red. "I apologize for the misunderstanding."
"
Pleasure to meet you both, and sounds like a plan to me." Bob then turns to Tru and Araroris, " stay close to me and work together, we have to be methodical but swift in the search to the keep. I'll do my best on the combat side but I worry in my old age I may be a little rusty." He says while stretching his back out quickly."S'okay. It happens all the time" she grins at Tama
She turns to Bob and Araroris, her face serious once more "Let's go"
"I'm Araroris."

Yes, this looks very much like the dragon that ravaged your village and killed your family.
