Race - Tortle (A subspecies that looks and acts like an alligator snapping turtle, no rule changes though)
Class - Blood Hunter (Most likely Order of Lycan subclass)
Backstory. What is your story? How did you find out about the Pearl Defenders? - Tokka's clan was old, it had settled in the swamplands long ago, long enough that there were stories that they were always here. That they descended from the turtles of the swamps themselves, massive beasts that one day stood up on two legs, for they knew if they did not others would come to seize the swamp. It was this mentality that was passed down from generation to generation within the clan. The clan had little dealing with others beyond trading with local merchants as they saw it as their way to appease the outsiders, a way to keep them from intruding into the swamp. When Tokka hatched the shaman threw the bones and announced Tokka as a hunter, but he was not one to hunt for food, he was one destined to hunt and kill the beasts of the swamp. The beasts of the swamp threatened not only the clan but also any outsiders who drew to near or traveled through the swamp. And so keeping the beasts at bay helped to keep the clan safe from many. As he grew Tokka was taught the blood rituals of the clan, and how to use these rituals to help slay. But his line was also different, for when he hatched the bones also told of his ancestry, his blood was strong with primal instincts, and he was taught how to unleash his more savage side, making him a more formidable foe. One day when he was out hunting a group of merchants traveling through the swamp were set upon by a giant alligator, and hearing their pleas for help Tokka rushed in, tearing into the beast with his claws. When the beast lay dead and Tokka stood their covered in its blood the merchants looked upon him with fear and awe. When they visited the clan they asked Tokka and the elders if he would be willing to accompany them beyond the swamplands. There was much beyond the swamp and there were many beasts that people needed defending from, and so with the blessing of his clan Tokka joined the merchants. He had only ever heard stories from the visiting merchants, but now was his time to see the world beyond, to test his mettle against more than the beasts he grew up with. There were others that needed defenders, and he would use his skills to help and thus grow the name of his people. It was during these travels that the merchants heard of the Pearl Defenders and brought forth Tokka as both warrior and emissary of his people.
What time zone are you in? EST
Optional Info:
Your character's personality - Gets along with others, very much has a clan/family mentality when it comes to his companions, but the heat of battle kicks his predatory instincts into overdrive
Your main attack style - Definitely a melee fighter, still deciding what kind of weapon, but when the bloodlust takes over he uses his claws. He is used to both solo fighting and pack tactics
Also whatever you'd like to add.
And also how often you can post - I can post every day, some times multiple times a day especially during the week, weekends are more likely once a day

Amazing story! We could use a blood hunter. And a tortle? That's unique.
Although I also really like a few others. I'm considering Kronk, Ghurk, and Double Blade Sehaine as well.
ohhhh no I'm in danger
(let's come up with something)
You should probably consider adding a tank or two to the party, because right now the least squishy member of the party is the cleric! I know of a great tank who's offered to join: Ghurk! And also Kronk but Ghurk too. (lol)
Edit: Looks like rain's also a tank. oooooooooooooooooooooooooooops.

well, uh, uh, Ghurk has a d12 hit die!
Crunchface is a little squishy, but he’ll have good defense with up to three uses of shield (at lvl 1) and relentless endurance.

If I haven’t offended you, don’t worry. I’m sure I’ll get to you eventually.

The king looks at you. "Well, I could use a new bodyguard, one of mine was eaten by a 20-foot pigeon..."
Sounds like DM might need to make a second group or even a third 😂😂
Lol. A might with how many entries there are, but I don't know if I can manage multiple groups. I'll think.
Like maybe I could manage 2 groups since it is the same campaign. But I do have school and such as well and planning for 2-3 groups could be challenging, since the players alter the course of the game, and I can't just copy and paste the text. But maybe I could manage? I'll have to think about it.
And that will probably be the last sneak peek because we're starting soon.
Don't worry, If I don't choose you can still read along the story, you just won't be in it. And there is still hope for all of you :)

Very good set up, DM! Even if I don’t get in, I’ll certainly be reading!
Thank you!

;) I am crying right now ;)
Dragonlouis, do you have sb in mind? ;)
I'd love to have sb who could stop the cavalary charge or sth like that... Initiative isn't Liaras strong side ;)
"I don't care, I'm still free. You can't take the sky from me..."
Sounds like people are getting competitive
Remember, I'm not choosing people because they are the strongest. A combination of good story, abilities, and I want some variety.
