This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
If you're still taking applicants I'll throw my hat in.
Name: Blackbeak
Species: Kenku (magpie)
Class : Trickery domain cleric (ETA - Actually I've just tweaked the character to multiclass if that's allowed, as it goes better with his backstory. Now Level 1 Rogue, Level 2 Trickery Cleric)
Backstory (No less than a paragraph or two please! Get creative and have fun writing!) :
Blackbeak grew up in the slums of Waterdeep running with a crew of child pickpockets, never knowing his parents. Blackbeak was always good at confidence tricks and pickpocketing. One of his childhood friends, a lightfoot halfling named Obo, once saved his life when a rival gang tried to drown him in the river for poaching on their turf, and took him to the nearest healer for assistance. This healer was dedicated to the Halfling god Brandorbaris, and Blackbeak never forgot this. As a teenager he used to stop past the Brandorboris shrine and leave trinkets, and eventually in his twenties was drawn further into Church of Misadventure life.
He finally took orders as a Hand of Misadventure cleric after seeing his childhood friend Obo killed by a zombie uprising. With nothing to tie him to Waterdeep, he travels frequently for the Church of Misadventure, using his varied skillset to find information and items for them.
Personality (And what scares the character) :
Blackbeak is a taciturn, miserly, middle aged magpie Kenku whose delight in life is playing tricks on people. Even though he now has a facade of being eternally grumpy, he seems to have the kind of charisma that makes him endearing to people even when he is trying not to be, much to his annoyance. He never got over growing up in the slums and hoards money and occasionally food, even though his association with the Church of Misadventure means he will never go without. He hasn't given up his trickster streetwise ways, but tries to use these skills for good rather than his own gain. Mostly, that is.
He has nightmares of drowning.
what are your do’s and dont’s for a D&D game? What topics would you rather avoid? You deserve to be respected!
Generally I prefer PG-rating (low-level gore, fade to black on saucy stuff) but happy to see how the game develops.
Applications are closed. I am finalizing who is in! To those who do not get in - I’m sure I’ll run another Ravenloft game in the future. Best of luck to everyone!

I can also take a few more applications before the end date. I’m loving everyone’s characters so far!
Well, did you post this at around seven o'clock? Because if you did you're on Mountain Standard.
