The goblins then counterattack, taking the offense.
Goblin 1, almost beaten to a pulp, retaliates by attempting to slash at Kres with his scimitar. Goblin 1 Scimitar Attack:20Damage:6 slashing.
Goblin 2, still furious about the green faerie fire attempt, draws his bow and trains his sights at Realgâr. Goblin 2 Shortbow Attack:17Damage:3 piercing.
Goblin 3 advances towards the cart and swings his scimitar at Realgâr, getting within melee reach of him. Goblin 3 Scimitar Attack:22Damage:5 slashing.
Goblin 4 retaliates against Randaler, shooting an arrow at him. Goblin 4 Shortbow Attack:16Damage:4 piercing.
With the goblins' advancements Chad unleashes his Fire Bolt at the goblin, who manages to nimble evade the fire attack.

Kres sees the Goblins attack coming and blocks it with his Quarter Staff, as the Goblin reels from the Parry he will bring his Staff down attepting to hit the Goblin on the top of its head.

If the Goblin falls he will use his quarterstaff to boost him as he takes flight, moving over to the other Goblin with a Simitar and landing next to him.

Randaler winces from the pain of being hit with an arrow in his thigh, and grabbing the shaft, yanks it out with a muffled curse behind his gritted teeth. Nocking another arrow, he fires again at the goblin archer... hopefully this time with better aim.
Kres continues his monastic techniques. The goblin parries the staff a second time, allowing for a predictable defense as the aarakocra strikes the goblin, taking it down. (Goblin 1: Defeated)
Randaler shoots his arrow off at the opposing archer and his aim is true. The goblin takes the arrow deep into its abdomen, dark streaks of blood begin to leak from the punctured stomach. (Goblin 4: 5 Damage)
After the miss, I look down at my wand. I mutter “stupid thing.” I use the palm of my hand to strike the side of the wand while it’s still pointed in the direction of the goblins. Another fire bolt launches from my wand unexpectedly. I look up as the fire bolt streaks down the path, eyes wide. “This isn’t going to be good.....,” I think to myself.
DMs choice on the target since I’m not really aiming. Attack: 25 Damage: 13
Realgâr takes his two Handaxe off his hips with one in each hand and says in a singing voice, "Double axe to the back!" as he swings both at Goblin3 in front of him. (Bonus Action to use off hand attack)
Realgâr draws his axes and swings both down into the angry goblin, cleaving it in twain. (Goblin 3 defeated)
Haize rushes up to the goblin with a bow, using her sickle she slices up the goblin's front before it can parry with its bow, then a strike to the head brings the creature to the ground. (Goblin 4 defeated)
Goblin 2, seeing that all of his ambush compatriots have been swiftly dispatched begins to rush towards the trees, attempting to escape.
Chad, having an argument with his wand, releases a blast of fire that arcs through the air, and with unerring accuracy manages to strike the retreating goblin in the back of the neck, incinerating its skin as it falls. (Goblin 2 defeated)
Congratulations, you have defeated the goblin ambushers!
Realgâr says, "Hmph. Hardly a worthy challenge, eh lads? Good show! Have anythin' shiny on 'em?"he says as he strokes his thick dwarven beard.
He cleans off his axes and places them back on his hips, climbs back to the driver seat, and readies the reins for when his companions give the word to move again.

Randaler does a quick scan to see if there any signs of other threats, then tends to his wounded leg. He looks at the goblin archers to see if their arrows are any good. (Goal is to restock the 2 arrows used, and if possible acquire another quiver of up to 20 more arrows.)
I want to go check on the horses. And then make my way over to the goblin I hit with the fire bolt. I look back at the others while searching him over. “Where do you think this little one was going?” My stomach feels a little sour after looking over the burnt goblin body. Not sure what I expected. Never killed anything with my magic before I think to myself.
Haize Inair quickly checks over the goblin he killed and wipes the blood off his sickle. "I was unprepared maybe I should've bought better weapons, still these will do for now." Haize starts heading to the cart.

Mary Stumbles into the area. "Sorry, am I late?" She says after a long breath.
She wears what looks to be rugged sailor clothes with a tricone hat out of which protrudes a large feather. Several instruments hangs or sticks out of her bag, under which a scabbard of a thin-bladed weapon with a fancy grip.
A better look at her would suggest that she's quite out of breath and barely able to keep on her feet with the help of a fairly tall staff of about 7 feet.
"My dear friend Rockseekerhas asked me to come as soon as I finished my business in Neverwinter, which took far too long. My apologies. I see that you guys are fairly capable by the pile of dead goblins I see in front of me."
I turn around before investigating the horse and goblin. “Well hello Mary. I’m High Magician Gloomblast, but as a friend you can call me Chad.” Magic doves fly out from behind me. I holster my glowing wand.
Then I investigate the horses and goblin from post #33
It seems that Mary has come with her own goods and nothing more. She appears to be a late addition to the group that had to play catch-up on the open field.
The horse pulling the good cart seems a little startled, but is not too unnerved. Neverwinter thoroughbreds are used to the action of bandits and other people of ill repute, and the best thing for them to do is not cause commotion. It's become somewhat of a bred instinct in some horses nowadays, and is quite useful for traders wanting to ensure their cart doesn't end up flying into a ditch.
Chad says his pleasantries before going to check on the horses in the middle of the road. Checking over them they were obviously killed with the arrows still embedded in their necks. The arrows are similar to the ones the two goblins were using just a moment ago. Beyond that the tracks are a little trampled over, and will require a Survival check to obtain any further information. If Chad wishes, he could ask for help from someone to provide him advantage to this roll.
Haize inair sees the goblins get attacked with the Green Flame he takes out one of his darts and it at one of the goblins.
