-Name: Willow -Race: Firbolg -Class: Monk (Astral Self), plan to maaaybe dip cleric -- domain tbd, depends on narrative relevance & party composition -Backstory: TL;DR willow had heard tales about the prosperity and peace of Akihi and traveled there to make a life and home for himself, only to discover it in its current state. First heard about the town's troubles defending a drunken bar patron from being mugged in plain sight. -Character Sheet (Can be done later): (Just need to know what ruleset we'd be using for Firbolgs in terms of stats/etc) -Timezone: Pacific Standard
-Optional
Personality: Willow is generally reluctant to fight, unless absolutely necessary. However, once he has resolved himself to physical violence he does not pull punches (no pun intended) -- Contemplative, reserved, and laconic. Voice sounds somewhat eastern european, in a deep drone (think Star trek's Chekov + Treebeard, or the firbolg character from The Adventure Zone: Graduation)
Attack Style: Flowing defensive movements interspersed with aggressive counter-hits. Rarely goes on the offensive, but style becomes more like your typical MMA fighter in those moments ("superman" punches, hammer fists, etc)
Just realized that an earlier post said to re-roll ones... oops. Second go-round.

Name: Violet
Race: Custom Lineage
Class: Sorcerer (Aberrant Mind)
Backstory: Violet has been hidden away for as long as she can remember... her earliest memories were from a dungeon... a cave...? Well, it doesn't really matter much. She wasn't there long before a group of adventurers found her and took her away from that place. Since then, she lived in the basement of a temple, shut away again. She didn't see many people, except for Cyrus, the old priest who acted as her tutor. Anyone else who caught sight of her always ran away screaming for some reason, and she couldn't figure out why. Was it her slimy black skin? Or maybe the single eye in the middle of her face? Or the cluster of tentacles bearing more eyes sprouting out of her back? But old Cyrus always said that she wasn't bad, she was special, and he said that one day her time to shine would come.
Then, slowly, things began to change. The priests started to... disappear. She didn't notice at first. After all, she rarely dealt with most of them anyway. It wasn't until the day when old Cyrus didn't come down into her little dungeon that Violet began to worry. She waited several days down there, before she finally gathered the courage to leave her home behind... and to her horror, when she emerged she discovered the temple in complete disarray and completely ransacked. That was when Violet determined to find out exactly what was happening... if only people would talk to her and stop screaming and running. But shortly after she left her sanctuary, she was cornered by a trio of agents from the rebellion who saw her as an aberrant monster had come to the conclusion that she was the cause of the madness infecting the town! She was captured and taken back to the rebel headquarters... where one of the wiser members quickly figured out that she was just as clueless about the situation as everyone else. Still, the rebellion didn't want to just send her on her way. After all, it could be useful to have a Beholder on the side of the rebellion...
(Basically, Violet is an aberrant semi-humanoid Beholderkin)
Personality: Violet is friendly, if a bit insensitive at times, and in high-pressure situations she tends to revert to cold logic at the expense of compassion. She is slow to form emotional attachments to others, but when she does grow to care about someone she will go to the ends of the Earth to keep them safe.
Attack Style: Violet is a backline spellcaster. If she has to fight, she tries to strike quickly and decisively to end the confrontation before it really begins.
Just noticed there's already a potential monk, apologies! This is an adaptation of a grave domain cleric I've previously played, happy to make him that and revise backstory to adapt.
-Name: Scartooth -Race: Shifter -Class: Ranger -Backstory (Include how you found out about the rebels):
Scartooth was born to two shifters who live on the outskirts of Akihi, making their way as hunters and trappers. He left when he was old enough to make his way in the outer world as a mercenary. He returned home and found his parents different somehow, acting strange, fighting with him and leaving him homeless. He was discovered by some of the rebels living on the streets of town and they took pity on his story, and saw they could use a man like him. He has been selected from among their ranks to get to the bottom of all this.
Name: Naru Silvertongue Race: Human Class: Bard / College of Lore Backstory (Include how you found out about the rebels): Naru is an entertainer by trade. He plays minor roles in a variety of plays in town, and he has noticed a steep and steady decline in attendance since the new King sat on the throne. His livelihood being threatened, he started to use his connections in the stage industry to get to the bottom of it. It turns out that people don't have the means to attend the theater anymore, and that even some stages had been vandalized or even burned down across the province. A good courtesan friend of his was able to use her charms to learn of, and then tell him about a group of rebels assembling to strike back. Ability Scores: 15121315915 Character Sheet: https://www.dndbeyond.com/characters/87770720 Timezone: JST (+9)
Personality: Naru is obnoxious. He has one or two catch phrases that he overuses, tries to project himself as better than he is at anything related to art/acting/music/socialising, and he keeps comparing every situation to a play he has seen or been in. Attack Style: He prefers to support comrades with magic rather than jump into melee.

Hello! Any character/OC is allowed, I encourage you to use which ever background fits you.
-Name: Liberty -Race: Dhampir (Harengon) -Class: Ranger -Personality: Go-getter, Energetic, Optimistic. -Backstory: I was born and raised in a town of other Harengons called Berat. It was a peaceful simple town. I was one of the trouble maker children. Always going far out of town without telling anyone. Snooping around town to learn the latest gossip. Generally doing things I shouldn't really be doing. Nothing malicious or destructive. Just going where I shouldn't be. One of the days I was out exploring, I came across a merchant. He took notice that I was without armor and alone. He was kind and said he had something to help. Going back into his cart he rummaged around for a bit before walking back up to me, holding something behind his back. Bringing forth a bow and some colored leather he said "This is for you. A bow and arrows for protection, and some armor." When I took it I proclaimed that I do not have money to pay for it. He simply laughed and told me not to worry about it. That the bow was on the house and no one wanted that leather armor anyway. It was too small for most customers and the strange colors and patterns on it made it look ugly to to them. The merchant winked before heading off, telling me to be cautious and safe.
My explorations, of course, were not always good and caused me trouble later in life. One day, while I was far out in the wilderness, I came across this strange place. At one moment I was in a normal looking forest, the next, it was full of strange colored foliage. I unfortunately do not remember much after that. Although, I do recall hearing a voice behind me whisper, "Are you lost little rabbit?" Then everything went blank. When I came to, I found myself on a patch of leaves in some woods that I did not recognize. The colors looked normal again, but I had no idea where I was. Not to mention, this hunger. Why do I feel so, hungry? It did not take long for me to figure out what I was hungry for. I was never hungry for it before, it was disgusting, but it tasted so good. I feel so ashamed.
I wondered these unfamiliar woods until I came across a civilization. Running up to it I asked anyone I saw if they could if they could help me find my home. But, no one seemed to have heard about Berat. They were all so rude. Telling me that I was obviously in Akihi or to get lost. What is with these people? I am so scared and confused. I just want to go home. Eventually a group of people came up to me, saying that they can help the best they could. I was filled in with what was happening in this town, and that they also do not recognize the name of my town. However, once this mess was solved they offered to do what they could to help me find it. With that I decided to also offer my help to their cause. And so, I joined the rebels.
