-Name: Claypole 'Clank' Ankridge -Race: High Elf -Class: Artificer -Backstory (Include how you found out about the rebels): ‘Clank’ had always been eccentric, eager to learn how things worked both from a theoretical point of view but more importantly from a practical one. That is why he joined the ranks of Akihi’s Engineers. His parents were thrilled at the opportunity, and also that he would not be experimenting in their home any more.
He had apprenticed from a young age, learning the basics of tinkering, carpentry, masonry, smithing and even the art of glassblowing as he looked to work his way up the career ladder. Whenever something needed making or fixing, the townsfolk went to the Engineers. By day ‘Clank’ would turn his hand to any number of tasks, and by night he used the Engineers workshops to experiment with his own projects.
His current major focus for his own work is the creation of an automaton to assist him in his day job. So far he has not managed to get the design working correctly, and that is with a simple miniature model. His ultimate goal of a larger version seems a little way off still, but he does love a good challenge.
Recently, he has become concerned by the number of townsfolk requiring the assistance of the Engineers for repairs due to acts of vandalism. He takes pride in every piece of carpentry he creates, every pane of glass he fits and every house he helps to build, and it is not acceptable for his workmanship to be abused.
A friend of his who unbeknownst to him is a member of the rebels recently reached out to him directly, not through the Engineers, and asked him to help create a secret room under a prominent town house. His curiosity peeked, he had figured out it was to be used as a rebel safe house. He immediately offered his services beyond the construction to help look into the issue further. -Ability Scores (Roll): 17 13 14 12 10 11 -Character Sheet (Can be done later): https://ddb.ac/characters/95790439/PSa3Si -Timezone: GMT
-Optional Personality: ‘Clank’ is quite the eccentric and properly hands on, liking to get his hands on things and get a feel for them. He can get a little frustrated by those around him who can’t keep up with his speed of thought, which is compounded by the fact he often gets distracted by things. He can annoy others with his desire to take things apart just so he can put them back together again, often better than they were. Attack Style: He is not really a fighter as yet, so will need to work on that, but it will likely involve some crazy devices repurposed from his day job. The other probable solution to this is the acquisition of a firearm!
Smart character! He'll be useful in finding out who's sending the messages.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
-Name: Jotuneir -Race: Eladrin -Class: Paladin -Backstory (Include how you found out about the rebels): Jotuneir was a valiant warrior, usually collecting quests from the needing and vulnerable innocents in the closest villages near Akihi. He had finished a quest, going to the local pub to find his commissioner, the person who gave him his job was a young black scaled Dragonborn with the fairest of blue eyes. Little did Jotuneir know, is that his commissioner had a twin brother, looking exactly alike his brother. Asking the young Dragonborn about his mission, the man instead offered him another quest, to find his brother, who had mysteriously disappeared the same day the quest had been given. Jotuneir found this... interesting at the least, but in his mind a quest is a quest. The man's brother said that his brother was supposedly associated with the rebels, deemed to protect the & free the innocent villagers from the overrule of the mysterious tyrant who ran the evil controlling operation. Whilst searching the tower in the close forest, he is attacked, though with his magical prowess, he kept all of his weapons and items hidden. He awoken being held by a gang of Dragonborn and a couple of burly goliaths, he found he was bound by the ankles. He finds that his fellow comrades dead. The dragonborn tell him that in fact this whole quest had been a giant sham, the brother was never a rebel, and he found out that they worked for this tyrant, controlling his family members. Though he despised the idea of the rebels because of this current situation, he decided to join them when he was free. The reason is in fact, is that the group was given control of his family, and forced them to gut themselves right in front of Jotuneirs unconscious body. He planned to join them to free the family's of the controlled, from this potential grief. He became so enraged after the story had been told, he went into a rage that not even a goliath can compare to, he ripped them all to shreds besides his original commissioner, and asked him where he could find them. He was told the directions, then he bashed the man to a pulp. ( I just noticed how deep it seems and it might not fit with the story, anyway i guess enjoy reading it :-).)

Name: Boomi Battleborne -Race: Mountain Dwarf -Class: Paladin (plan to go oath of vengence) -Backstory (Include how you found out about the rebels):
Boomi is an old Dwarf of 350 years. He left his clan in search of adventure some 50 years ago, hopeing to have one more grand epic before his time to return to Moradin. During his travels he eventurly found his way to Akihi. He really enjoyed his time in the town. So much so he gave up his desires to meet his end in glory and put his hammer to rest. He opened a small smithy and redoned his pristly vestments as a Forge Father for the locals who follow Moradin.
Boomi enjoyed his life for a time till the new king Obolm Slora took the thorne. At first he kept to his own talking care of a boy orphaned. That was till the day the boy was murdered in an attempted robery. That day Boomi took off his vestments and picked up his War Hammer found the rebels and joined up.
-Ability Scores (Roll): I swaped str and dex hope that is ok.
Personality: Boomi is a gruff old dwarf. He is very hard headed stubborn and set in his ways but is a big softy for any who he considers part of his flock.
Attack Style: Pray, Hitstuff with hammer repeatedly.
(Not sure yet but I'm think Bommi will perfer to avoid conflict but handle things with extreme measures once negotiations fail)
Etc: little about my play style. I like Shenanigans and banter among the other PCs and have made dumb choices that almost killed ne cause it was either funny or seemed fun.
-Class: Barbarian (haven't picked a path for sure yet)
-Backstory (Include how you found out about the rebels): Pirate
Shamys is not unaffected by the 'curse' of this place. Where once he was a simple sailor on a local fishing boat, it slowly changed to smuggling and then to outright piracy. He finds himself reaching for darker paths, but lately begins to wonder how that ever came to be? He wasn't wanting for food, or shelter. He doesn't find himself with an abundance of riches now. Instead, the mere reputation seems to drive him further into villainy.
He knows it isn't right. He knows something is wrong. He went to a local priest to try to speak of his troubled mind, and it was there that he was told about rebels gathering in common cause to get to the root of this widespread phenomenon.
Shamys will find the rebels and join their cause until he can say for certain that his actions are his own.
Style/personality: I'd like him to be a lawful neutral type. He's looking out for number 1, but he's got a code. I'd like for the code to become more developed or compromised based on experiences in the campaign, becoming more evil or good, with moments to change course. I'd love a mechanic to deal with the corruption we're fighting against, even. But he's initially a pirate, with a cutlass and everything, happy to sneak, steal, kill etc, provided it doesn't cross a line (someone surrenders, no priests, or kids, etc).
