Pyornchrakzark thinks hard about what Judal is saying before shifting his attention to Ereni. He shrugs, nods, shrugs again, and then continues to look thoughtfully over the expanse of MIrkwood.
"That is true, mostly." He says in a hushed tone. "We are part of the world. But the world has moved on faster than the people in it. Or most of the people, I think. Fighting yesterday's battles? That...no. I don't think so. This battle is clearly not over. The landscape it's fought on, though, seems to have changed. Not sure what to do about that myself."
He looks back over his shoulder at Judal and smiles.
"I can choose my age? I...well, it would be nice to only be, say...three thousand trine again. Ahh...to be young again..."
"That is the magic of words, used correctly they can convince anyone of anything," Judal says with a smile. "Or nearly so. But it is easier if they know no better. You say you are three thousand and that is young? I take you at your word, sir, and look forward to watching you grow!" Judal couldn't help but chuckle a bit. Three thousand is young??
"Where the battle is certainly has changed, unfortunately. We ourselves were heading to the battle but... Well, we kind of got split from our companions. They took their Roc and continued on without us. That was some kerfuffle, I'll tell you that," Judal says not wanting to outright lie to the Pyornchrakzark. "Now I'm afraid they'll get to the battle before us and we'll still be trying to catch up. Hard for us little guys to keep up with a Rok, you know?"

Still visibly wincing from the fresh burn scars left on her body from her battle with a Phantom that had haunted both Ereni and Herself for what felt like years. "Apologies for my silence Pyornkrachzark, As always It is a pleasure to speak with you. I trust you've been well?" Not meaning to barge into the current conversation, The Jedi feels a wave of nostaliga over come her as she thinks on the previous conversations she had carried out with Pyornkrachzark in her years in exile.

"Aye, the landscape is changing. The world darkens and our enemies choose and change the terrain on which we battle them. My old commanders would have liked it about as much as an arrow to the eye. Just begging for defeat. Don't see that we have a choice, though... Do we?"
Ereni is genuinely not sure. Not for the first time, she has the sense that she is trying to discuss things that are beyond her simple, laconic ways.
"You seem one with these mountains, Pyornchrakzark. Can you... feel... the changes? Where they happen and how? We are bound now for King's Landing and then the Great Grass Sea to look among the horselords for our... quarry. Can you suggest the best path?"
She scratches behind Joy's ears and keeps her hand on the dog's back for comfort.
"Ha, yes, quite young! I...well truly we don't know what old age is." Pyorn says. He uses his empty hand to scratch the back of his head while he thinks. "You're not wrong there...Eroni, was it?...We are one with the mountains. I was born from these mountains, though further north, at Death Mountain. Funny, isn't it? I was given life by a mountain named for death?"
Pyorn's chuckle is like a small earthquake as he contemplates the depth of what he has just said.
"Ah, sorry. That was wonderful. And yes, Malenia, it is good to see you again. I have been well, though I can't say I care for what has been going on in the world around me. Separated, you all say? Where has the rest of your group gone? Where do you need to go to?"
He turns and gazes for a moment up at the mountains around them.
I already told old rockface just now that we were bound for King's Landing and then the Great Grass Sea!
But Ereni is not really annoyed, more fond. An unfamiliar emotion. She imagines this is what it would feel like to speak with an old uncle if she had one.
"Death Mountain," she mumbles. "Sounds like my kind of place. Could be a nice vacation trip once this is all over. You go home often to visit?"
She glances again at Malenia to make sure Pyorn is not accidentally hurting the Eladrin. A little louder, she repeats herself from before:
"We are bound now for King's Landing and then the Great Grass Sea to look among the horselords for our... quarry. Can you suggest the best path?" She considers further and decides to trust the Rockbiter. "Hoping you can keep a secret, our quarry being Princess Zelda who is said to be there."
Joy wags her tail hopefully. She had started to chase after the dirt that Judal had kicked, hoping that it was the start of a game of fetch, before realizing that it wasn't and they were still talking to the nice mountain guy.
"Quarry just in the sense of we're looking for her. Not in the sense that we are hunting her," Judal assures.
"And, umm... Not in the sense of excavating rocks, of course..." He adds hurriedly before wondering if he is just providing too much clarification and merely obfuscating the matter even more so.
"King's Landing, yes! With luck in time to catch up with the others.... I guess."

"All the time." Pyornkrachzark replies when Ereni asks him about his returns to Death Mountain. "It is nice to visit my mother mountain. And sometimes I find new siblings when I do. Or make friends. Though they seem to be more and more scarce as of late."
Pyorn listens to Ereni calling up to him, and then looks confused.
"I don't know..." He says, using his free hand to reach up and rub his expansive chin. He smiles down at Joy wagging her tail as he does so. "I never go far beyond the mountains. This is where all the good rocks are, after all. Princess Zelda? What's a Princess Zelda?"
He looks hopefully when the word quarry is pointed out, and then frowns.
"Ah, but you can find so many good rocks that way! Good, crunchy granites! And filling limestones! Ah, oh, but that is not what you meant. Hm."
Seems like we're asking Mr. Rockface the wrong questions. Or at least I am. Like asking a pikeman in the Infantry to restring my bow.
"Ah... sorry. Princess Zelda is a person we seek. Like us," she points at herself and her companions, "only more important. Though that might not be saying much. Have to find and protect her so she can help make things come out all right in the end. King's Landing and the Great Grass Sea are places. Not near any mountains that I know of, sorry to say. That's where we are to look for her."
Ereni points in a direction which she thinks is roughly south-southeast. "Far as I know, the Great Grass Sea is no more a sea than I'm a centaur. I think it's just flat, open plains where many people ride horses. Our commanders, Gandalf and Atreyu tell us Princess is there among them."
She thinks for a moment longer, wondering what to ask. "You have a way of traveling faster than we humans and elves and dogs can walk, Pyorn?"
"More important?" Pyorn says with a hint of intrigue. "How interesting. I thought everyone was very important. But flat and open? No mountains? What a conundrum. I would take you...but I don't know what I am supposed to eat out there in the world if there are no mountains. Hmm."
Pyorn's eyes shift to Judal, and he laughs, holding his free hand over his massive stomach.
"Ho ho, small and tender! You are quite funny, Judal. But no, I don't know of any horses around here. But..."
He looks over his shoulder, up along the Goron Range that leads back off into the north.
"The Goliath tribes that live high in the mountains, they go from tribe to tribe riding on birds. We might be able to get them to help? But they are such fickle people!"
"Fickle? in what sense?" Malenia pipes up, finally feeling her wind return to her after suffering from the wounds laid upon her by a phantom. Leaping out of the Rockbiters hand and to the ground below, her face winced but she kept her composure and joined her companions.
