Kryinor returned to his half elven form "I will wait here, if things go poorly I will be at your backs before they reach the mouth of the cave." Kryinor's gaze not leaving the sentry at the cave mouth.
Titus and Eedim manage to make it a fair distance up the slope before the Orc becomes aware of their approach. It's eyes widen and it stands quickly and begins to run inside to raise the alarm.
Fortunately both rangers have made it to long range before discovery. A lucky shot may avoid detection!
OOC: Long range attacks are made with disadvantage.

Eedim squints and sticks out his tongue a bit. Lining up his crossbow and raising the tip just a smidgen he lets the bolt fly!
It makes a graceful ark above the rocky slope and strike the Orc low on the left side of its back.
Raising his bow to eye level Titus draws, bowstring speaking to him with familiar voice. Target acquired he looses the arrow and waits............................
Zaxx's bolt of fire strikes the Orc as it makes the entrance to the cave. It falls in a tumble of smoldering arms and legs and disappears within.
Does it live or did the Mages burning bolt do the trick?
OOC: My sincere apologies for the extended delay in posting and update. I think I will have more energy and time now going forward and hope to not have nay more of these long pauses.
Rest assured I have been eager to get back into the swing of things and see where your brave adventures take us all!

Breccha bolts flat out after the retreating orc and if he catches it (even if he has to enter the tunnel) in time he throws his javelin in to his back...
Seeing the Orc fall/flee inside the cave you hastily pursue it in order to stop it warning its allies!
Kryinor in wolf form reaches the cave mouth first, quickly followed by Breccha his mighty barbarian thews carrying him up the slope. The howling figure of the burning Orc makes a good target in the darkness of the cave as Breccha's long arm propels a javelin through the entrance, its lands quivering in the creatures back and it goes down with last pain filled cry.
Its lifeless body rolls forward and extinguishes leaving the passage ahead in a deep gloom.
A moment later two deep rage fulled bellows issue from seeming gargantuan throats from deeper within the cave system.
Breccha draws his sword at the sound of the bellowed challenge.
OOC- is it going to be too dark in here for Breccha to see? If so he will light a lantern and hold it behind his shield so he can direct of hide the light as needed.
Kargan moves up to block the passage from whatever horror the bellow issued from. Breccha takes a few precious moments to ensure light for his human eyes and then looks ahead into the darkness using his shield to direct the lantern light ahead into the Orc lair. Kryinor moves the bulk of his Direwolf from beside the barbarian ready for anything.
At the entrance to the cave Titus and Eedim draw and cock their weapons ready to pin the first thing they see to the cave wall.
Zaxxseems momentarily distracted.
The bellow is followed by the thumping of large feet on the stony cavern floor, the sound grows closer far faster than the imagined bulk of the thing would imply...
...And then... The huge, ugly, and enraged face of a ten foot tall Ogre appears in the lantern light. Spittle flies from its crooked tooth maw as its red eyes fix on Kargan. It brings up what looks like a small tree trunk reinforced with spike studded metal bands ready to crush the brave dwarf on the front line.
Ogre et. al. initiative: 10
OOC: COMBAT! Kargan can you roll for party initiative please :) If you guys win please post your actions and rolls :)

Eedim nods to Titus, "Shrright!" and dips the tip of a bolt in the stinky green mixture.
Carefully loading it he winks at the ranger and then the other companions and moves off in a crouch with care.

Zaxx grimaces at the discordant twang of Titus' bow.
"The elf is going to complain about that shot for days," he thinks to himself.
With that he moves up quickly, seeing that his friends have already been spotted and sights the wounded orc along his pointer finger.

Unless someone calls a halt Kryinor will rush to the mouth of the cave to assess the situation.

I also rush to the cave mouth, axe and shield ready, and look for any orcs. If there are none, check the entrance area for traps.

"Ach, ye sound like a milk drinkin', elf wristed, bow legged, half goblin!! Come out an' fight if ye dare!"
