I think I've got a cursed werewolf "barbarian" (themed off of the Uthgardt tribes, no actual Barbarian class levels) just about ready to go. Will post soon.
Like most of my kind, I enjoy a special bond with nature. Years ago, I was content to spend my days in contemplation, needing only the trees and beasts for company - even for conversation.Firbolgs speak the language of the wild, you know, though we understand not the reply.
Then you humans came, with your machines, your industry, your constant need to beat the land into unrecognizable submission. To render a verdant forest teeming with free creatures into inert lumber, slaughtering all creatures save those too dumb but to remain in your prisons, meekly awaiting the axe.
Thanks to you, for the first time, I understood my friends’ cries.
That first village approached me cautiously but not unfriendly, perhaps thinking somebody on two legs not immediately deserving of slaughter.I hesitated - peace comes naturally to my people - until my eyes fell on a slain deer, trussed up and ready for your butcher.Even then, that first neck proved difficult to snap.As the plump farmer hung limply in my grasp, smiling his stupid friendly smile, I froze in horror. This man was not wicked!
But that’s the point, isn’t it?The farmer was not evil, merely ignorant of the balance of nature, and his place in it.Like all of his kind.Like you. And I understood - I was not here to inflict, but to teach. Each neck proved easier, thereafter. Those atrocities you lay at my feet - all richly deserved! Not a single human was ever harmed, not a single human imprisoned, unless there was an animal carcass or tree felled at their hands.Innocents walked away freely, to spread their tales, or not.
I have since taught many lessons, but your settlements pop up as fast as I can Teach, like a weed overgrowing its intended bed.And not just you humans - elves came to the forests, as did dwarves to the crags on its outskirts. They all needed to learn, too. They all needed to hear the Word.Like weeds, the more I scythed, the hardier the remaining stock grew. "Heroes" you called them, and they fought with vicious weapons, whereas I used only what nature had granted. Your champions taught me, too. Where they came in waves, I learned to respond with flurries.Over time, nature itself taught me how to draw upon its spirit inside me, and the Word spread further still.
With sword, bow, and spell, your champions grew ever stronger.I struggled against magics that bewitch the senses, that defy nature itself. This Cloak of Displacement was the first - it deceived the eye, making me think your champion was in another place. As the man lay pulped beneath my heel, I realized it was not unnatural to use these tools against nature's enemies. It was, in fact a perfect irony. Then the mages came - cowards, the lot of them, flinging ice and fire from a distance at the very trees that give them life. I learned to avoid their unnatural energies and close the distance at speed.Up close, their cowardice made them easy targets. That they would understand the balance, I taught them the Word, even as I crushed their windpipes.
Not all of your kind attacked; some understood the truth of the Word and came to study with me, and to protect the land from their cruel brethren. We lived for years in peace and harmony, disturbed only when your weeds overran the garden once more.Of course, we also spread the Word further - to not share such harmony would itself disturb the balance, and your nations began to notice.
I remember the first Host at our door, led by some King or another, himself come to parley with the Teacher of the wild.I met with him in good faith, as he spoke of honor, of respecting neighbors, of borders, but I knew the truth in the man’s heart.Nature has no borders.Nature transcends borders. And so spoke to him of the Word, I touched him, and I bade him farewell.Less then a fortnight later, he had yet to depart or attack, but I tired of his game.I snapped my fingers - a simpler gesture than that first neck, years ago - and miles away, that King fell down dead.
And then they sent you. You, the ancient hero whose preternatural agility exceeded even my own. You, who danced away from me and from student to student, leaving me grasping only your pack while forcing me to hear the wet sound of my students pierced... to see gouts of flame burst from every wound. You, who turned my students into the very kindling that would burn down my entire forest. You, who You, who spoke a command word, as I grew rigid.
“Go back to your forest, Teacher. I command it.”
I never knew if you spoke those words to me or to your dagger, but I walked into that inferno. All I knew as my flesh seared was that I would return to command it, and command you.You taught me that my current skills were not enough to spread the Word, that I would need to study new talents, unnatural talents, to serve nature. For that, as one Teacher to another, I thank you.
Your pack burned away, but to my surprise a Manual remained pristine among the ashes. From it, I learned the secrets of your speed, and understood now many of you "heroes" may have left behind similar lessons for me. I grabbed the tomes long taken from your champions, and I learned to bewitch, to burn, and to control.Among the possessions of these cowards I even found a Mantle one wore to protect himself from enchantments, and I learned this might be useful against you as well.I studied, and I practiced, until I was ready to find you, in this village, in this new outbreak of the virus called civilization.
You Commanded me again, but this time I merely feigned submission.I knew that like all civilized men, you could not resist an opportunity for cruelty, and when you crept forward to take that opportunity I stunned you. And that is the difference between us.I strike, not to be cruel, but to serve a higher calling.I tell you all this because you will not move again until I give leave.I tell you so you realize, as your own blade burns you from within, that I am not the villain of this story.
Alright! I added the White Dragon Scale Mail as an armor.

Aodh: Level 20 Half-Elf Cleric of Life - Not really. It's a strange being that had possessed and broke down a level 20 Cleric of Life Domain, gaining his knowledge and power.
"*****": Level 1 Tiefling Sorcerer - Her family is dead, and her will is broken. She follows orders so that those that command her will allow her to die.
That..... was extremely well done. But, I just need to be sure of your magic items.
Would you please make another post listing your magic items so I can see all of them? I had a little trouble seeing which ones you had, aside from the cloak.

As you can tell from the backstory, Isala would have a slightly different goal than the other villains, in that he'd want to raze or at least diminish the cities, not dominate them. He would work with the others, because, as someone relatively weaker than other capstone villains, he'd recognize his weaknesses against crowds, and would make alliances with those who could help. It might , however, logically lead to a different endgame than you would want. I am more than happy to adjust the items or backstory to work withing the campaign.

It's an interesting approach though. We could probably work something out. :D

"No boom today. Boom tomorrow. There's always a boom tomorrow" "No power in the 'verse can stop me"
Magic items: Oathbow, Bracers of Archery, Cloak of Elvenkind, +3 Studded Leather
Backstory: I grew up in the hills and forests of Elsbain. The only roof over my head was the clouds, and my bed was the nurturing earth. But that was before civilization made its ugly stamp on my paradise. My home has been increasingly despoiled with the abominations of development and culture, and I have dedicated my life to wiping it all away, in order to return the land to its rightful state.
To this end, I was made into a terrible weapon. Trained by my tribe's shamans, I proved to be the strongest of our cadre. I slaughtered all other participants in the sacred games, and earned the right to become a werewolf, like our greatest ancestors.
My first transformation—I'll always remember it. The brightness of the moon, the crisp night air, the fresh taste of blood. I overcame a band of adventurers, who happened to be on their way back from a remarkable haul. That night I obtained a magical cloak, a cloak which I knew was special —magical. They had gold, too...I left it with their rotting corpses. But the cloak has proved invaluable.
I see that you're also eyeing my armor. Wonderful thing—shifts and changes with my shape. It belonged to a wood elf prince, who stupidly made an alliance with one of the great cities in exchange for clear-cutting rights in his forest. He lived long enough to tell me that it was hellhound leather, studded with moonstones. It suits me, don't you think?
I have now slain princes, merchants, guardsmen, and adventurers. And the best part is they never even saw me coming. I've probably created a stray werewolf or two in the process, but no matter. Just more of the sacred gift to share with the world! Every "hero" who protects the corruption, every champion of civilization, has suffered my wrath—or soon will.
The main proof that my cause is just is my reacquisition of our sacred weapon, the Oathbow, which I took from the corpse one of my latest quarries...along with his magical bracers. His legend was that of a great bowman, but it turned out that it was all just magic. No real talent. This bow is mighty and swift, and unlike its previous keeper, I am worthy of it. With it I have sworn to destroy every enemy of the natural world.
Sometimes you need a greatclub, but sometimes you need a swift and silent dagger. I am that dagger.
You still need to add how you got the rest of your items.

Updated both story and item post. Swapped out the Bracers of Defense for a Manual of Quickness of Action; since there seem to be literally no non-attunement AC items compatible with Monk unarmored defense, I thought to take a + 1 from a dex boost.

In that vein, I've decided that Lyssma would be more the type that enjoys randomly infecting people with lycanthropy. So I altered that bit in her backstory :)
Also, before the campaign starts, does anyone know how content sharing works, and explain it to me, or could contribute? I'd be very grateful if anyone could.

Well I can go find a wand. I thought it was one or the other.
"No boom today. Boom tomorrow. There's always a boom tomorrow"
"No power in the 'verse can stop me"
Add the uncommon wand of magic missiles then. Most everything is attuned and I already have 3.
