Akkron considers the sword... he doesn't think it's useful to him (or probably to anyone else in the party), but he doesn't really want to leave it behind, either.
"I think you may well be right about the blade," he tells Vrox. "But... I feel that it would be irresponsible of us to leave it here where it might be found by another. We can wrap it thoroughly and put it in my bag until we can thoroughly analyze it or dispose of it properly."

Unhappy that the market got rid of individual purchases for one-off subclasses, magic items, and monsters?
"Yes, keep it, Master Akkron..." Khessa smiles at her undead mentor "We are already carrying several evil objects, after all..."
"And now, let's finish cleaning this place up" the blonde arcane warrior is ready to go again. "We eliminated the biggest threat, the Count... we might as well finish cleaning up, so that the surroundings are at least a little safer again".
You return to the room where the ceremony was taking place. As you exit the entrance, the door to the outside (due south) is open. You have a door to your right (due west) and to your left (due east)

Vrox wants to check that painting that was in the entry hall. He wonders if it's a regular painting. If not, perhaps the scene depicted in the painting will change in some way now that the devil seems to have departed.
With Count Glauer defeated, Vrox is less concerned about sudden surprises. He'll keep his Dragon's Wrath Longbow equipped and let Khessa lead the way. He'll take a spot in their line 2 or 3 behind Khessa.

As you look around the painting, you find a hidden compartment behind it. Inside the compartment is a vial of marvelous pigments with paint sufficient to cover 10 square feet of a surface.
"That devil was wise to leave of its own volition," Clarac said after the devil disappeared.
She agrees with the current plan. "We should make sure no new evil can rise up and take the count's place." She follows Khessa to the west door.
As you open the door, A pool of stinking black liquid covers the room’s floor. White marble steppingstones protrude from the bubbling ichor. It winds like a path to the left.
Khessa looks at the others: "I don't know what this stinking black liquid is, but something makes me suspect that it is not good for one's health. And I don't like this marble steppingstones path very much... Whoever put it there, could also have trapped it to make the visitors fall into this 'soooo captivating liquid' ".
"I could fly past this point" the blonde arcane warrior muses aloud "and carry in my arms, one or two at a time, those who cannot. But first let me send Anator to see what lies beyond..."
With that, the tall adventuress sends her borther to explore...

Oh?! Cool! Vrox is delighted by this find, assuming that we recognize what we've found. It's suitably whimsical for an emissary of the Feywild!
@Aaggie - Was there any alteration in the portrait itself? Or was that just a mundane painting?
Khessa looks at the others: "I don't know what this stinking black liquid is, but something makes me suspect that it is not good for one's health.
[[OOC: Ha! Yeah, the phrase "bubbling ichor" is never used to describe something good, is it?]]
Vrox is happy to let Anator check out the hallway. If it doesn't lead anywhere of interest, he'd be happy to avoid having to deal with the stinking black ichor entirely. Vrox can't think of any other goal that they need to accomplish here. He says, "Unfortunately, we were too late to save the captives in that ritual chamber with the organ, and we've defeated Count Glauer. I just want to confirm that we've cleared the keep so that we don't leave any enemies at our back when we head to the valley and Uhubreen."
Vrox keeps his bow ready in case something nasty emerges from the black, bubbling ichor.

[[OOC: I'm not sure whether Tyekanik would be willing to let Khessa fly/carry him past the black ichor. He's not a dummy, but he may prefer to continue raging and just walk on the stepping stones. Khessa sends Anator back to the safety of her pocket dimension as soon as he reports. She shares the information with the others and concludes: "I can magically assume the power of flight... and carry, one or two at a time, those who cannot do so."
If Tyekanik claims to prefer to move independently, that is no problem for the tall adventuress at all.
And when Vrox suggests bypassing the uninviting corridor, the blonde arcane warrior declares, "I do not know the spell needed to open a door there... but if you say you can paint one and make it real, no problem for me! It will indeed make things easier for everyone."

"Yes," Vrox says, "I think I can paint a door or an opening. Maybe even a sort of arbor, covered in ivy? That would be a pleasant addition to the count's dour keep!" He examines the small vial of paint and then points to the wall just south of the first stepping stone, "Of course, it'll just go through this wall, to whatever is on the other side. And there's not much paint left, maybe just enough for a 2' x 5' door. Or a circular hole about 42 inches across. I'm used to crouching and creeping, so that'll be big enough for me! But you would have to duck down to get through, Khessa. And Tyek, our changeable giant, probably couldn't fit through the door in his current size."
"But maybe it's better to save the paint for the Golgari's fortress?", Vrox continues. He produces the key of bone that they found in Count Glauer's ashes from the haversack he carries. "If you can fly us to the door, I suspect that we may already have its key!"
Khessa smiles: "Let's go find out, then!" and, after whispering an esoteric formula, she lifts the fey easily and flies to the door.
There the fey can use the key to try to open it... or, if he prefers to 'leave the honor' to the blonde arcane warrior, she takes the key with her other hand (the one not holding Vrox) and tries to use it.
You fly along the corridor over the white stones and pass the bubbling ichor. You reach the landing on the far side, and there is an iron door with an opening for a key. After you insert the key and turn it, you hear an audible click and the door opens. You look inside and see statues and antique relics surround a mound of coins.
"Well, well, well..." Khessa comments "Perhaps it is best that everyone enjoys this view..." and, two at a time, carries all the fellow adventurers into the room (or at least all those who do not prefer to come alone by other means).
The tall adventuress then divides the coins directly among everyone, while as for any magical objects... depending on what they are and what they are for, the party will decide together who to assign them to.
