Personality: Taliyah loves learning, and will happily engage in conversation with others on topics she is not knowledgeable about, but in return tends to stay silent if it's not about something she's already learned about. She also enjoys performing random acts of charity for those around her.
Backstory: Abandoned at birth, Taliyah was raised alongside six other children of similar fortunes in a manor belonging to their caretaker, Denevus. Denevus was a tall and androgynous figure of unknown race, and a skilled spellcaster. Taliyah, along with her adoptive siblings, were granted free range of the manor except for the fourth floor, which held Denevus's personal laboratory. Taliyah herself had a knack for magical like her mysterious caretaker, and so she along with her other sibling who also had the knack and the desire to learn magic, were instructed in the ways of wizardry while the others learned their own trades, each suited to some form of adventuring. Eventually however all good things must come to an end, and this rang true for the sibling's time in the mansion. They awoke one day to a cold and quiet mansion, the various spells Denevus had running to keep the manor in shape having been dispelled at some point in the night. Exploring the manor, Taliyah and her siblings found two major clues to what happened to Denevus, one was a letter addressed to them all, and the second was that the entire fourth floor had vanished entirely. The letter instructed the now young adults to go out into the world and use their skills to make a life and name for themselves, and to help others wherever they can. The letter then wished them all a happy life, and incinerated itself. They all initially traveled together at first, but a series of circumstances led Taliyah to eventually be travelling on by herself to the far north of Perkunwos, hoping to delve into the ruins and find what lies inside.
What object do they think is inside the human ruin?: A trove of magical artifacts that might have something that could give her a clue as to what happened to Denevus.

I can't see your character sheet, open it to the public. By the way, Dragonborns have tails in Lancea, keep that in mind.

If you're playing a Rogue, focus on DEX and put some points in CON too. If you have spare points, you can distribute it somewhere else too.

hmmm, yeah. that sounds like a good idea (PS, figured out how to also get it to display my character's race...which I've basically just made it a variants of a Dragonborn for now since i don't wanna mess too much with it)
We still have two days left (At least in my tinezone) for application process. Who knows? Maybe someone might show up with something that might blow my mind.
All and all, I already have a few players here in mind. But I'll keep this in an oven for a bit further.

This honestly sounds really cool! Lots of people seem to be applying, my goodness. Just putting in my little character idea to see if it would possibly fit into your world. Always wanted to play as a politician, hah. And DM, I have one question for you. What is your stance on other character creation websites other than DnD Beyond? I plan on using DiceCloud, as it is where I have all of my content on.
Personality: On the surface, Kalju is a nationalistic and libertarian individual, often expressed the desire to, as he says, "reclaim his dream". He's done plenty of good things in his long career as a politician, preaching to the public... all before shifting his attention to his trek to the human ruins, modifying himself in the process to see if he would be fit. If one were to spend some time speaking to him outside of a speech, they would learn that he is self-centered and arrogant, along with a rather fragile ego.
Backstory: Kaljuwas born on a rainy day in a far land. During his youth, he was adopted by a military commander, who named him and became his godfather after he killed the former's parents. He was subsequently raised as a child soldier. His experience in the slums of combat was miserable, though somehow he seemed to enjoy it and did well compared to his other men, or boys, for that matter. He was trained to use a sword, as it was described as a 'noble' weapon. After a few years of his service, he decided that he couldn't take it any more.
He and some of the other boys plotted an escape. On a dark night in the winter, they abandoned their platoons and ran. Deep through the woods of that winter's night, Kalju managed to escape mostly unharmed. He was more muscular than most of the other boys in his group, but the brambles and pricker bushes still tore up his legs a bit. He still had one last thing to do, however. Shatter the sword he trained with... and he did so. Leaving it as a pile of broken metal, he stuck to suing his fists to solve problems. After his escape, he never saw the boys in his group again, and found his new home. Lancea. Living on the streets for a few years, he managed to find another home with that on an innkeeper. Someone to get him back on his feet, so to say. From this point forwards, he's had a modestly comfortable life, studying politics.
In the modern day, he's an adept public speaker, speaking at small events that he hosts in order to spread his message. His message of how one should "stick up for the goblins", or protect the weak. Doing mainly social gigs for a little while and failing to run for governor a few times, he's recently caught wind of these new ruins... and thought that this could be his chance. His chance to finally land his spot on the office and make it big. Finding these ruins and gifting it to the town would be a one-way ticket into office... he could truly win the hearts of the people he preached to so often. With a heavy sack of gold and a few months with a wizard, Kalju gained a few adjustments to make him more adept in the wilderness, an ample spark of magic just waiting to be let out.
What object do they think is inside the human ruin?: The answer for the problems in his town, be it wealth or some kind of powerful weapon, he's determined to find it.
Class and Subclass: Level 1 knowledge cleric/ level 2 bard (will be college of eloquence)
Background: Lower class family in a large city. Educated to be a member of the clergy. A fate not to be.
Personality: Positive, upbeat, not a strong believer in law and order but it has its place, oddly studious, driven by the desire to learn new things, energized in social environments.
Backstory:
Big city brat would probably describe my background. Family from the poorer side of town, saved their pennies to send me to the seminary to become a cleric. Me?! A cleric?! They obviously didn't know their son very well. I much prefer a good party, meeting new people, some excitement, a bit of fun, earning some coin the easy way. But given what they named me, I think they had the seminary idea in mind from the day I was born.
However, I'm not stupid, the seminary provided the best access to a decent education I was ever going to see and if there is one thing I like better than a party, it is learning something new. Maybe not religion but everything else on offer was worth studying so study I did.
I graduated from the seminary with honors and was posted to the central archive of the mother church for the city, collecting and collating information. My skill with languages made it easy to deal with some of the more obscure texts. Luckily, though, that didn't last long. I fell asleep one time too many and was asked to leave. I couldn't let my family know so I turned back to the edge of society to make some coin (significantly more than I made working for the church). As long as my family saw the money coming in, they figured I was still working.
I also didn't want to draw any attention to my family. You see, we aren't like the neighbours. We are a family of changelings hiding in the cracks of civilized society. Oh, everyone has likely heard of changelings, if only as rumors, or nightmares to scare children. There are families and clans of us out there. Even entire villages I have heard but we hide since nothing else is really safe. Our ability to look like anyone else we like in the blink of an eye really isn't appreciated or trusted, mostly because of a few bad apples but you can't change who you are and changing the perceptions of a society isn't easy.
After a couple of years of the double life, getting a flop of my own, making some friends, I found the whole thing getting a bit stale. As usual though, luck intervened again. Rumors and gossip began to circulate about a discovery in far north Perkwunos. An irresistible discovery for anyone who is a student of history. (Looking at myself).
There was apparently a precursor race existing before the current races. There are ancient monuments, odd pieces of knowledge, tomes and other relics still left around. However, direct evidence has been scarce. To add to the mystery, the entire exploration party was wiped out after they sent a messenger back to civilization to report that they had made a tremendous discovery but before any details could be shared. The timing of that seems almost biblical to be honest.
Either way, I'm in. I took half my savings and gave them to my family as a sudden winfall. I took the other half and spent most of it equipping myself and finagling a spot on a trading caravan heading in the direction of Perkwunos. Now I just need to convince someone to take me on an expedition to the far north when I get there. All good things in their time but at least the adventure begins!
What object do they think is inside the human ruin?:
Personally, I'm hoping that the vault holds the ultimate answer to the ultimate question posed by the ancients "What is the meaning of life, the universe and everything?". One can only hope.

You're free to use DiceCloud, no worries about it.
By the way, I might not be able to answer most of you guys' question today. I'll be doing IELTS exam, sorry for the inconvenience.
By the way, by the way. Lancea is the name of the planet, Perkwunos is the name of the region this campaign will be taking place in. Keep that in mind.
"The universe we observe has precisely the properties we should expect if there is, at bottom, no design, no purpose, no evil, no good, nothing but blind, pitiless indifference."
is there anything I should now about this campaign, like what XP system will be used or what edition and whatever else isn't listed in the info list (that I'm aware of)
(oh and as a side note. should i add or adjust anything with my character since although im still working on the sheet, i still want to make sure im doing it all right and stuff)
I'm closing recruitment and I have five players picked, I will send an invitation to the campaign in the next 3-5 hours. If you don't receive the message within that time, it means you didn't make the cut.
However, in a (hopefully) unlikely case where people decided to drop out of the game, you might have another shot at it. I'll open the Recruitment again and you can copy and paste your character sheet there. Be warned, though, once we get past a certain point in the story, it'll be a point of no return and I won't be able to get anymore backups. Be careful with that.
I also have made some adjustments on the difficulty, more on that in the PMs.
Thank you everyone for participating, see you next time, and may the odds be in your favour.
As for the reason why I close a bit early, I feel like there are more applications than I've anticipated. I expected to see around 6-7 and I got 20+. Besides, the earlier it is, the better.
"The universe we observe has precisely the properties we should expect if there is, at bottom, no design, no purpose, no evil, no good, nothing but blind, pitiless indifference."
Well... one of the players we have ghosted us, and I'm looking for one backup player. If you're new here, simply follow the template I posted on the first page. If you have already made an application, just reply to this message so I know you're still here.
Right now, we have Bard, Bladesinger Wizard, Paladin, and Monk. I'd prefer a ranged class like Ranger or a dedicated healing class like Cleric, if you have made an application and want to edit your backstory to fit your new class better, just copy and paste what you wrote.
If you want to catch up with things, you can read our posts here.

I added my sheet :) Still looking for an image for the appearance though.
