Well, the posting said you were looking for 4-5 and by my count we currently have six applicants. So I think I'm gonna go ahead and pull my submission and just ask that you keep me in mind if a spot opens up in the future.
Have a great time! I'll see you around the forums!
Oh, you don't have to pull but if you seriously want to, don't worry, you'll be at the top of the list if I need a new player :)

Okay! Just wanted to ask because I don't have any of the content purchased on D&D Beyond, as I usually use Dicecloud. Need me to edit the character to work with the basic rules?

I've never used Dicecloud but as long as you can import the character sheet into the campaign (which should be possible?) then I believe it'll be fine, you shouldn't have to make any edits.
Alright, there isn't a way to import it (sadly) but honestly, it shouldn't be a problem really if you keep it on DiceCloud. The only reason I originally had it as DNDBeyond was to attempt and keep everything a little more organized for my poor Word Documents (and notebooks), but it should work out fine.
Race: Human: Variant (reason for feat will be explained in backstory
Class: Druid: circle of the shepherd
Background: Faceless
Backstory (Be open to adding bits and pieces to tailor it to the campaign's setting. It can be as loose or detailed as you want but do know this is a big factor I am looking at when choosing): Venlys Ibbel was once a person living a normal life. He owned an inn, had a family, and lived in relatively nice house. But, one day, a Druid walked over to him in the inn, and invited him on a hunting trip. The Druid actually led him to a portal in the Feywild. Venlys Ibbel didn’t come out. 3 years later, Garlan Stillsinger did, with a new understanding of nature, and a fey blessing.
Personality: as Ibbel, he is outgoing, talkative, and friendly. He loves getting to know people, and relishes new acquaintances. Garlan on the other hand is very reluctant to talk or trust anybody, and is very knoledgeable
Alignment: chaotic neutral, but actually played as chaotic neutral rather than evil.
Brief Description: blond hair, blue eyes, and very skinny.
Stats (rolled on here, no rerolling of ones. I will be checking. If they are undesirable, use point buy. The only rerolls of ability scores I will be allowing is if you do not have a single stat 13 or above.):Ability scores: 1411171495
Greatest Fears (Be detailed! I need a little something to work with.): Seeing anyone he knew, especially his family again.
Goals (For the player, not the character. What do you want to see happen with your character? How do you want them to develop or turn out at the end of the first stage? Personal short term goals of your characters, nothing terribly big or flashy.): I want him to transition to being personal with a few people.
RP Example **With Character** (Nothing like a whole story, just a little bit so I can get an idea of how you RP and a little bit to know your character.):
I am not very good at creating prompts .
Garlan: mumbling to himself
A stranger in a tavern: takes a seat. “So you’re not from around here. Where are you from?”
Garlan: a place you don’t need to know, want to know, or be there. You wouldn’t last a second there. Go away.”
Venlys (at inn): “Hello stranger! What brings you here today?”
stranger: “A drink I suppose. You?”
V: “Well, that’s a long story, but I could tell you more!”
Wood elf twilight cleric (I have a master tier subscription and can content share for the group.)
Ability scores: 13101191312
He looks young in the way elves view age. Despite age, his skin is weathered and his clothes tell of much travel and little coin. His shoulder length brown hair is somewhat tattered as if it was just hacked to an acceptable length with a knife. His piercing eyes are a dark green, with flecks of what could be yellow. Talker than most, he appears somewhat awkward, but solid.
Backstory:
(Happy to modify as needed)
Dniyo’s early years were ones of peace and joy. The elven community that he called home was a place of magic and centuries of growth and refinement. He was allowed to spend most of his days pursuing his interests. Very little labour arose in the community as the woodsgifted his people all they needed to survive.
He tried his hand at many things. He loved his people and their land and strove to show a meaningful contribution to his community in some way. Despite his efforts, he never found his niche. He was capable of mediocrity in many things, but couldn’t find something he was truly good at. Something to be proud of was beyond his grasp. As the years passed, frustration grew, focus faded and Dniyo changed.
Dniyo’s boredom became disruptive, wasteful, even reckless at times. Some of the younger members of his community would view him with interest, mimicking his antics at times. He was tolerated, but not well liked by his peers.
When he was tailed by two children in his wanderings on a particular day, he thought nothing of it. He returned late that evening carrying one of the children, severely injured, incoherent when asked about the other. (DM choice how the other child ends up. Actual incident to be determined in collaboration with the DM.)
The event wound up with Dniyo facing an elder counsel to answer for himself. With little to defend his actions and a community tired of him, he was banished from his home. The only life he had known was forever denied to him. He left with a pack of necessities and the weight of guilt and despair.
He wandered for quite some time before he found solace and a chance for redemption in serving something greater than himself. While he may not act, or even interpret his god’s teachings in a traditional sense, he has dedicated himself to serve. This is something he has finally found that he is good at, that can contribute with. This is the life he was meant to live. If only the cost to get here had not been so high.
Personality:
I’ve regained my passion for mastering something and a desire to improve the world around me. I have however, also retained my more self reliant, rebellious traits I picked up as life wore me down.
Ideals:
Community- I can contribute now, and I will.
Redemption - I have things I to make up for.
Bonds:
I go above and beyond to leave things better than I found them.
Those who I deem as my people will always have me at their back.
Flaws:
I love helping, but I hate rules. Good, right and just doesn’t always fit within the rules of mortals. It gets me in trouble.
I support “my people” a little too unconditionally. I’ve been burned before supporting those who are clearly in the wrong just out of loyalty. I like to think I’ve learned my lesson, but I probably haven’t.
Fears:
Helplessness/Uselessness - Seeing a serious problem but being unable to act. ie: being paralysed and having to watch my party suffer.
Abandonment/Rejection - I’ve been kicked out of somewhere I thought I belonged. I don’t know if I can handle that happening again.
Goals:
I am new to my faith and want to truly know it.
I need to find people that I can really trust and that accept me.
I want to find a way to forgive myself for the harm I did to the community that raised me.
RP Sample:
DC - Dwarven Civillian
Me - Dniyo
DC - “I don’ want yer help! Yer people can’t be trusted! Yer god is a weak petty thing! Are ye a bloody fool or just ignorant?”
*The dwarf’s obvious hostility and rage, though misdirected, are telling as his cheeks grow even redder and his voice louder. The dark rings around his eyes and bloody hands speak to the true cause of his woes.*
Me - *Breathes deeply, attempting a neutral expression.*
-I know these dwarves well enough to understand that sympathy would only enrage the miner more.-
“Like me or not, like my god or not, fool or not; I am here to help. If you need to, when this is done, attack me all you like. Right now, your people are working to dig their fellows out of that collapse. You are making remarkable progress clearing the rubble and recovering those you can, but do you really want them to be dragged out to see open sky, only to die under the sun? I can help.”
DC - *Glances back at the organized chaos behind him and his dazed miners with their varied injuries.*
“Fine. Go. As soon as we see you up to your tricks we will end you. I won’t warn you again.”
*The dwarf rushes back to the tunnel and continues hurling boulders aside*
Me - “That’s all I ask if you.”
*I rush over to the fallen miners and begins to tend to them. I have to get a touch physical as I have an equal reception as before. As my spells take effect, the violence and rage fades to an acceptable angry, begrudging tolerance.*
-I’m used to tolerance. Good enough. The last time I met dwarves they were so friendly. What happened to these people?-
DM Expectations:
I’m really flexible with game styles. If the group is good, the game is good for me. If the game is active and the DM and players are able to communicate as things arise, everything else falls into place. I think it’s great that you are putting yourself out there as a new DM. Find what works and doesn’t for you and run with it.
Availability:
I am able to be online quite frequently during the day or evening. I’m in Vancouver, Canada. (Pacific Time) as long as it’s not the middle of the night, I’ll be fairly active. I’ll advise if there are timeframes when I’m not available on a given day.
Experience:
15+ Years playing/DMing
Played and enjoy several other TTRPG systems (cyberpunk, delta green, call of Cthulhu, Blades in the dark, paranoia etc.)
About me:
I’m a relaxed player, I enjoy telling the story with RP as we adventure. I’m happy to play with any age, experience level, gender etc. Good people are good people. Any other questions, ask away!

Mhm. It's just a lot easier to keep everything together since everything is happening here instead of on, say, Discord.

Does anyone have content sharing, maybe?

for content sharing
unless FedoraWasStolen opens a link I can enable my content for everyone, either way. If that’s okay.

Feel free to!
Alright, this campaign is now closed for the first stage. Feel free to submit characters, as they will be added throughout.
Good luck to all those who get in!
Have fun!
