Sarlypsis spent the trip on the boat simply reading, watching seagulls pass by over the boat and periodically checking whether they had arrived to land or not. Her sailing mates also held a pretty high place on the "Things-I'm-Curious-About" list she mentally kept, but none of them seemed to want to strike a conversation, so she simply peeked at them from time to time. When they finally arrived at Houndstooth's dock, Sarlypsis began snooping around the port town, but she decided to keep herself relatively close to the boat, in case something interesting happened. The human bard's songs quite piqued her interest, and so she stood nearby just to hear him playing his bagpipes.

Ipfizz has spent much of the journey talking with the other passengers, taking an exceptional shine to Aust. When he hears Aust pray devoutly to Mielikki, he snorts just a little and shakes his head.
As he disembarks, he checks his weapons and equipment. "It'll be good to see some goblins bleed," he mutters to himself before following the others.
"Official business, eh? Lookin' fer a 'ead of office?"
He briefly glances at Dulcina
"My boss? Gold mines? Ah, I s'pose you lot are looking for the mine captain. Well, I'd check the inn o'er there,"
He points off to the north along the main road located just off the docks.
"That buildin' right there. The one with two stories. Just on the edge of the fog. Now, on the off chance that's he's actually doin' his job, you'll need to check the nearest mine, which is in the same direction up the road a few miles. You'll come across a 4 way intersection. Take the right. You'll be there in a few hours by foot. Now, if you'll excuse me."
The half-orc goes back to shouting at his underlings. Off towards the warehouse a few more men emerge and make their way towards the main road.

Ipfizz nods and grunts as the half-orc gives directions. The gnome is half-distracted as he fumbles for a match, pipe already in his mouth. He starts off towards the inn with the others, puffing on his pipe and grumbling about the fog.
Aust takes a look around at the people of this community as he walks to the Inn. Most likely his size draws many looks back. Each pair of eyes he meets, he looks to see if there is fear or murder. To ipfizz he says as he walks on, “Goblins bleeding.... their destruction can bring balance to the region and some closure for my past. I haven’t seen anything that would make me think they are active in town. We need to hurry on to the mines.”

Taking a large mouthfull of smoke, Ipfizz lets it out and smacks his lips. "Stale," he says, disappointed. "Gonna have to restock here. Hope they have decent product here. Can't smoke gold."
After hearing the conversation, Sarlypsis deliberately follows the rest into the inn, thinking to herself. 'I think this'll be worth it, considering I haven't really got any other place to go.'

Gideon walks ahead of the others, his mind on meeting the mine captain more than those who are also coming in this direction. He opens the door to the building in question and steps in, looking around for someone to speak to. "Good morrow, I'm looking for the mine captain. Could you direct me to him, I am here on official business." He says in a self-proud tone.
"This mine village is great, it looks so nice, I can't wait to meet the mine captain and see what he wants, do you think he will pay us in gold?" Dulcina asks the people walking along with her, happy to have some company on the long journey to the mine captains place.

"S'long as he pays us," Ipfizz mumbles around his pipe's mouthpiece. Puffing the last dregs of smoke from the bowl, he grimaces and dumps the ashes on the ground before entering the inn.
Sarlypsis enters the inn, thanking Flynn for holding the door and finally joining the rest. "Well, If the captain does not pay us, we'll just have to salvage some gold ourselves. We all came all the way here looking for some of it, right? Or not?" She says to Ipfizz whilst looking at Gideon, not really sure if all that fancy-talking was a good way to talk in an inn.

On your way to the inn you spot quite a few groups huddled off down alleyways smoking pipes, betting on games of cards and marbles, taking swigs out of large jugs of what you can only assume is alcohol, and conversing with one another. None of them seem to pay you any mind. Oddly nobody appears to be on the street proper. You all are walking alone down this road. A few people are on porches, down alleyways as previously mentioned, and there's a soul or two overlooking the road on balconies, but the road itself is dead. However, you pick up on a few sparse tracks on the road. Some boots, some hooves, and a few other strange tracks that Ipfizz is able to attribute to goblins and worgs.
The buildings of the town are in serious disrepair and many of them are nothing more than a few loose boards nailed to a frame with plenty of gaps and holes to see through. Nearly every bit of wood in this town is dirty to the point where it's nearly black. Shattered windows are a common sight along the road, and the inn especially appears to be a common victim of vandalism.
Speaking of the inn, as you enter your lungs are filled with the strong stench of a wide variety of smokables. You would guess there are about 12 people gathered in here. Most of them smoking a pipe, playing cards or some sort of dice game, and occasionally sipping a mug of ale. No one seems to pay Gideon any mind, except for one man sitting alone at a booth off to the left who briefly looks up and then rather hastily slouches down in his seat, ducks his head, and attempts to hide his face behind the large jug in front of him.

After that he enters the Inn and stays near the door and a wall to his back.
Ipfizz had pointed out the goblin tracks to the rest of the group. Seeing Aust stop to study them, he had grunted—chuckled?—and beckoned the Firbolg leave them. "The goblins will still be there when we're ready for them. Best to first hear what troubles they've been giving the locals, and give this damned fog some time to clear. Doesn't bother me much, mind, but wouldn't do you lot any good to fall and twist your ankles in the murky soup."
Having said his piece, he had proceeded to the inn. Once there, he orders a large ale and saunters over to check out the card games.
