Her head was still spinning from all the information thrown at them. There were so many things that made this situation complicated. "Two people seeming to vanish is troubling, no matter how you look at it," she concluded, rationalizing it more to herself than anyone else. "Yes, I am still willing to help."

Jodon massages the bridge of his nose, as if it pains him. He has spent years trying to do good, trying to run from the ways his parents taught him, when they wanted him to take over the family "business." Were they right all this time? He can't believe that, not now, not ever. Perhaps thinking like them again, just for a while, might help uncover that greater good he knows exists in all. He takes a deep breath and steadies himself to join the questions which sicken him.
"An...honest...moneylender can be on the verge of bankruptcy for two reasons. One, if business partners have cheated him. Two, if multiple investments failed to pan out, leaving him with no coin with which to fund further activities. Either case would leave multiple parties willing to do him harm. As a longtime friend, what can you tell us of his partners, past and present?"
He waves his hand dismissively."Arlen had a large sum of coin tied up in a caravan heading to the Dessarin Valley some time ago. Giants put a quick end to that endeavor and he hasn't been able to recover quite yet. I have heard some awful tales filtering in from that area of the realm."
Kelbin looks at each of you in turn and says to all of you, "I do not know your names, and perhaps that is a good thing - for now. You know where my home is and you can probably find me there. If I am not there when you come, you can leave word with either of my groundskeepers. Your idea to check with the guard sounded promising, as does going straight to the root of this mystery at Kristoff's manor, but I trust that you are all sorted enough to sniff out just about anything." He looks a little shamefully at Holg and Kylar and continues, "If you've no further questions, I will take my leave. Oh, before I forget - You can stay here at this establishment free of charge while you are working for me. I have already arranged it with Yuri. Good day and good luck."
Holg interjects "Before you go, what shops do you recommend we check out for supplies? Is there any specific shop that you do business with that we should seek out?"
Sliding out from behind the table, Kelbin replies, "Holoman owes me a favor. Look for the general supplies store in the market. He calls it Hallowed Supplies."Kelbin laughs a bit and continues,"He's a good man and he should work with you. Tell him you've come at my behest and ask for a discount. He's got most anything you need utility-wise. He's been know to have occasional magic items as well."
"Well I like to thank you Kelbin and we will try hard to look for your friend and this Krisoff." Sly said he didn't really need to get equipment no had much coin to get it but would follow the group if that's what they wanted to do before starting on the quest he honestly wanted to get started he didn't know how long they had before something were to happen to either of the men.
Watching him leave, Dathyra was hit with the realization of what had just happened. She had agreed to a rather bizarre errand with four complete strangers she knew nothing about. She looked back at the four people seated at the table. She still wasn't sure how she felt about the Tiefling. The half-orc still intimidated her, but at least he seemed like the type that it was better to have on her side rather than against. The half-elf was quiet and contemplative, making him the hardest to read. And the halfling was...well...at least he seemed honest enough. What had she gotten herself into? She sighed inwardly and tried to put on her most confident smile, if anything to hide the butterflies in her stomach. "It seems we are now to be a team, or something like that," she said. "I'm Dathyra."

"It seems so." Holg replied to Dathyra, starring at her with curiosity as to what brought her and the others here to Neverwinter and specifically to this table. "Name is my Holg, former solider of Amn." He turns to the others at the table, awaiting them to introduce themselves and curious as to what stories and tales they may hold.
Okay, so I imagine you all introduce yourself to one another, and you're encouraged to do so as it adds flavour, but then you'll have to decide how you want to proceed.
"I'm Sly I'm guessing we don't have to do last names not really important so what do we do now?" Sly looked at Dathyra and Holg then at the halfling and half-elf they were a pretty odd group but so far none of them other then Dathyra seems to have a problem with him or it might be that they didn't really get a good look of the Jade tiefling which he was fine with as well.
Holg's answer hadn't surprised her all that much. She had guessed there was a military background from the way he spoke earlier. Still, that instilled a little bit of confidence in her. If they did find any kind of trouble, they did at least have someone with fighting experience. "Well, that is some welcome news, Holg," she said with a nod. "I just hope we don't run into the kind of trouble that would require use of your military background. Forgive me, though, I know very little about Amn. Really, I've never ventured any farther than Silverymoon. I serve at a small temple in Sundabar. My abbot has sent me on a few charity missions recently. I was just finishing here in Neverwinter when I saw Landon...er Kelbin's request. It sounded like a decent use of my talents, and I believed it would do some good. Though, I'm not so sure what we'll find now."
She then looked to Sly. He was very direct and seemed to get to the point. Perhaps he wasn't much for sharing stories. That, or he really was focused on the task at hand. "Even though I do not look forward to it, I'd like to find out more about this Kristoff person. It seems there could be multiple reasons for Arlen's disappearance, but Kristoff appears to be an enigma."

"Aye, I've heard a great story of the Silver Marches. Much different than my Amn I've heard. Perhaps when this task is over we can share tales of our beautiful homelands." Holg was intrigued by the allure and stories he had already heard of the north and having now met someone from there gave him great excitement as questions and imagination began to fill his mind. However, there was the current quest at hand... "I too think Kristoff may be the key person to seek out. If he is behind this whole thing, finding him may help us find Arlen sooner."
Jodon's face burns at the dismissal, and for a moment, he slips quietly back into his seat. Eyes downcast, he catches the grateful smile of a man whose spade he repaired earlier, and smiles. Today is not a great day, he repeats to himself, save whatever good we do to make it so. He finishes his mug, and takes a deep breath.
"My name is Jodon. Some of you may think me a fool. What I am, is myself. I aid people. Whether or not they deserve it. Sometimes, whether or not they want it. I agree, we should seek out this Kristoff first." He meets each pair of eyes around the table, in turn. "And, if we can, we help him too." He chuckles to himself. "Perhaps some of you have the right of me."
The barkeep comes over for a moment as a few more patrons come into the tavern. He says to your table at no one in particular, "I don't mean to interrupt, but that Mr. Landon has paid for the first three rooms on the left down that hallway. You may come and go as you like, although if the tavern door is closed, there is a side door that lets you into the hall there." With that he moves to leave you back to your conversations.
Sly, your room was the last (4th) room on the right, so it is not one of these three rooms.
Seeing Jodon's mug now empty, Holg replies jovially, "Well fool or not, looks like I could AID YOU in another pint of ale!" Looking around the table, Holg notices that everyone else is getting low as well. "Actually!", he exclaimes, "Why don't I just get us all another round!? It is only a little past midday and we have plenty of time to come up with our strategy. Besides," standing up and as he looks at the half-elf that has yet to introduce himself, "I am curious to get this guy's insight on everything. Be right back! Please, don't hesitate to continue the conversation."
Holg immediately heads towards the bar to get the next round, but also to find that bartender again. His comment about his former sword fighting days intrigued Holg and he secretly needed to find out more about the man. Noticing the barkeep just getting behind the bar after collecting the empty tankards on the tables, Holg could sense the man slowly growing tired as the night approached. Energetically he says, "Hello again good sir. Another round of that delicious dwarven stout for my table over there." Holding up his 5 half-orc fingers to signify the number of drinks needed. "I thank you and Mr. Landon for the hospitality. I am sorry that I did not catch your name earlier either. Mr... ?"
"I don't think you are a fool for wanting to help people Jodon not many people would agree to helping random people even if they don't want or deserve it." Sly said as he finished his drink and put the mug down. "God's know that this world needs more people like you." He knew about how others think of people who aren't normal or act a certain way and some times they are right to think ill of them but he actually enjoyed the fact that the halfling wanting to try to help Kristoff but if the man tries to hurt any one from the group Sly wouldn't hesitate to hurt him back. The tiefling didn't know if he could trust these people with his life yet but as long as they are around and helping him he'll try his best to look out for them he looked over at the half-elf. "And what might be your name my good sir?"
The big man gives a broad, toothy smile to Holg. "Don't many people call me mister." He laughs, gathers up some tankards and continues, "The name's Hugo, and that's good enough! What are ye having this time around?" He nods to the trio of would-be-singers and holds up a finger to stay their calls for more ale.
Dathyra smiled at Jodon. "Sly is right, there's nothing foolish about having such goals. Very few individuals hold such noble values in great esteem." If anything, she respected him all the more for it. At least there was one person among the group she knew for sure wasn't going on this errand just for the reward. She looked over to the final member of their group, who had been silent for a while. She had detected a hint of skepticism in him, and not just about their task at hand.
