So much happens in a single moment. As Gregory wakes with a grunt amidst the tension, the first hyena peeks from the mist, prompting Thaux to loose a well-trained arrow. As his shot flies true and buries itself between the beast's eyes, a razor-sharp knife finds its way to the heart of another one, felling the creature instantly. Its body falls with an audible <thump!> Shortly thereafter, light footfalls are heard by all as a small shape beats a hasty escape, with two hyenas in pursuit, one of whom Quartz and Korbiña note to be the big one.
As prepared as the party is, the pack of cackling curs has gone silent. With half their numbers gone, either dead or pursuing the mysterious stalker, the rest beat a hasty retreat back into the mist. They're cowards by nature and necessity, after all.
The party can breath a sigh of relief. A rested Gregory, who was never aware of the impending fight, yawns.
[I mean, you roll survival. I believe you have a base modifier for wisdom rolls, but if I'm not mistaken, you also have a bonus modifier for survival rolls concerning beasts. So apply all your modifiers (consult your character sheet). Don't forget bones and fur, for materials.]
[To all: that goes for the rest of you. There's a few things lying around. Don't be afraid to ask for other skill checks to investigate or poke around.]
Gregory face plants in the mud and gets up with a very annoyed look on his face. He looks over at the root and points "you" he says enraged and fires a bolt at it
Gregory angrily recites the incantation for a Fireball and... nothing happens. At this point, Gregory remembers that he doesn't actually know Fireball. It's also around this point that the fellow sorcerers in Gregory's group realize he was willing to cast Fireball while they were all in it's potential blast radius...
[Do you have cooking utensils or even any proficiency in cooking?]
[If not...]
With barebones ability, the proud hunter skewers a piece of expertly carved flesh and holds it over the fire, hoping he can tell when it's done, but before it burns...
(No, but he does probably know how to prepare the thing because he's been surviving in the wilds for a while now. So should I roll some kinda wisdom save or something?)

Thaux walks over to the hyena he had just killed and is going to skin it and prepare it for consumption. (Do I have to roll anything for that?)

As Gregory looks around, trying to figure out what happened while he was dreaming of warmer days, he doesn't see the root that he promptly trips over.

[Fireball? Ooookay...]

[I get you were probably going for Firebolt, but with the fact you wrote Fireball capitalized and with the comedic timing, I just couldn't resist.]
" fool if you where actually magickly competent you could have killed us all , really mundane folks baffle me "
"Shut up. Its not like I had the money to go to school like you." He gets up brushing himself off.
You better watch out you better not cry you better not pout I'm telling you why. Murderers are coming to town.
(Yeah I thought I switched it to fire bolt to. But no turns out my dumb phone won't let me. (Shrugs) whatever.)

[Look on the bright side: you brought levity to a dark situation.]
So for survival I got a 22 and I also wanna cook the hyena flesh for food.

[Let's make it simpler, but somehow not. Roll 1d4. If it's 2 or 3, it's good. If it's a 1, it's still too raw. If it's a 4, it's charcoal.]
