Kato remembers that Auril, the goddess of winter, is often called the Frostmaiden by her followers, and, apparently, the people of Icewind Dale

Four things I hate in D&D: People who think the tarasque is the most powerful (an empyrean or kraken can beat it), players trying to seduce bad guys (it's funny though), when a monster roles a NAT 20 (everyone hates that), rolling a NAT 1 (everyone hates that)
(With that roll do I know anything about her alignment?)
(I'll use the same role.)
You also recollect that Auril is Neutral Evil.

It's random. Torgga seems to not decide where to go until the last minute. I'd check out the three towns that do sacrifices, because that's where Kaltro likes to strike. Those towns would be Bryn Shander, Easthaven, and Targos.

Soren has been leaning back in their chair, eyes flashing this way and that, watching the conversation quietly. Despite some swashbuckler's charisma being a bit more...flamboyant, that is not Soren. Instead she waits. When she speaks, it is with commanding composure and gravitas
"The sacrifices? Such a nasty endeavor. Whatever your opinion on them, I am intrigued by this killer. A man named...Sephek, you said his name was? If he travels with a caravan during dark times like this, he should not be underestimated. Of course, we can't just kill him. Not yet anyway. We need proof. Hlin, you said your name was? Do you have any other leads on Kaltro? Anything we can use against him?"

"this sounds quite...morally questionable. Nevertheless, coin is coin. Some are not influenced by the power money brings. Alas, I am not one of them." Soren stands, looking at the rest of the party "Companions. I see no reason to delay. If three murders have already been commited, then we should move promptly. lest the killer, supposedly Kaltro, strike once more."
(Borivik, we have the snowshoes ETC that would allow us to traverse the tundra already in our inventories, is that correct?)

Juliet stands up and punches her fist into her open palm. "That's what I've been waiting to hear. Targos is the closest town where a murder took place, so we should start there. I still remember the way." Her two scimitars at her waist clack together in their beaten and worn scabbards. "When do we leave?"
"There's no point in waiting. Each second we do, that is another second the killer could strike. Hiln, would you happen to know where Torg's is currently?

Here is your advance payment. And you, rogue, don't question my morals. Question the morals of those who have power in Ten Towns. They have only their own survival in mind. They don't care about anything else. Now go, take out Sephek. I'd start with Bryn Shander. It's the largest town.

This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
During the discussion with Hlin and the characters, Korfer was lost in the moment performing the song of his father to the crowd. Then it's time for his grand finale.
"Hlin things you doooooooooooo!" (Performance check: 17)
"Thank you everybody! Thank you! Hey guys! Where are you going? Can i come with you?"
Upon walking to the table, Hlin throws a bag of coins at him.
Yer friends will fill you in.
Hlin says goodbye to the party.
When you kill Sephek, you'll find me here. If you come for the money and I find out that you didn't kill Sephek, I will hunt each of you down, then hunt down your family.
She leaves the tavern.
