"Of course friend, one of your talent would be a waste with any others. Come on!"
Kato follows whoever would be exiting first since he doesn't know where he is going
(that would be me)
Soren pockets the coin and walks towards the door, confidence abounding in her step. Her rapier swings at her side, the unsheathed blade glinting in the light from the fireplace.
"Definetely some questionable morals in her. I think we should be more worried about her than Sephek." she chuckles softly.
"A women who gives me 25gp for only one song can have any kind of morals she want. And it even was'nt one of my best! Can't wait to sing another one for her. You can clearly see she have good taste in music. Surely the memory of my father Korfer the Great effected her in some ways. Maybe they were lovers or something!
I'm Korfer The 2nd by the way, the second greatest bard in all the country. Nice to meet you guys! Happy to do you the honor of joining your little manhunt. So where do we start?"
"She's an elder in this town," Juliet replies to the rogue. "She's got no reason to lie to us, right. I trust that she's looking out for the best interestof the Ten Towns."
She turns to Korfer. "I'm Juliet Wildcut," she says to the halfling. "It's good to meet you as well. We can head up Bryn Shander, as that's where the old dwarf said to look, but Targos is on the way. I'm not opposed to checking there first. Do you know any Dambraii hunting songs for the road?"
"The finiest horses in all Faerun should not be hunted i think, marvelous beasts. But sure i know a song about this and i will be pleased to play it for you later my new friend."
(How are y'all going to get to Targos and Bryn Shander. I don't think you have enough for dog sleds or axe beaks, and the snow makes it difficult for horses.)

Four things I hate in D&D: People who think the tarasque is the most powerful (an empyrean or kraken can beat it), players trying to seduce bad guys (it's funny though), when a monster roles a NAT 20 (everyone hates that), rolling a NAT 1 (everyone hates that)
"You know, Korfer, I bet if you start working on a song now, and perform it for her when we get back, it'd be worth 75 gold! Maybe you should write it about our adventure."
(Could we rent more sleds? I think that'd be the best bet.)
(I don't see an option to rent sleds, but I can make an allowance. I'll say 1gp per day to rent the sleds, and 15gp per ten day for the dogs. You each need one dog and one sled. And PopolDallaire, if Korfer writes a song about the adventure, I'll give you a Instrument of the Bards)

You each rent one dogsled and one dog for the journey to Targos, which will take one hour. The owner of the sleds and dogs demands upfront payment for the first day for the sleds, and one tenday for the dogs.
(I'll subtract the amount from your characters sheets, since I saw some of you didn't add the 25gp from Hlin)

Soren climbs onto her dog sled. She says not a word to the animals, preferring to keep a facade of confidence and stoicness. Inside though, she loves dogs and is dying inside. No, she must not show weakness.
"No promises!" she calls to Korfer, in reply to his comment about going slower because of his inexperience.
"Mush! Mush!" she shouts, beginning to ride away towards Bryn Shander

Kato is a bit conflicted by a dog sled. He's never had a pet and most interactions he's had with animals have been hunting them. He gets up onto the sled, inside a bit worried he will fall, but also excited to try something new.
"I'll stick to the back of the group. We can get left behind together Korfer, if that be the case."
Unconfidently Kato says "Mush! Mush!" mimicking Soren, who clearly knows what she is doing.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Juliet climbed onto her sled, taking the reins. "There's nothing to worry about, Kofer. These dogs are trained specifically for this task, just like any horse is for their rider."
Watching Soren pull ahead, though, a wry grin came on her face. "But a plainswoman has her pride, even in the snow. Mush!"
She snaps the reins and takes off, trying to catch up and even overtake the rogue. (Animal Handling: 17 )
You all somehow manage to agitate the dogs. Lucky for you, they are very well trained and don't go far before you regain control
(Determine your marching order (sledding order?))

As you travel, you run into no trouble. You pass the occasional commoner, but they pay you no heed. They are used to seeing adventurers traveling between towns. When you reach Targos, you see Torg's just setting up.

Soren gets the group in a huddle "Ok, here's the plan: Me and Juliet will stalk Kaltro, while Thaddeus and Kato search for a place to set up an ambush. Meanwhile, Korfer, you talk with the merchants and pick up any information you can about Kaltro. Any objections?"

Kato will just follow Soren's lead. She knows the area so whatever she thinks is best.

"Don't know for you guys but first time for me on a DogSled so don't go too fast and wait for me if i'm too far behind."
Before taking place on the sled Korfer start to pet his dog
"Come here big doggy! Yes! You like that don't you? I think i will call you Rintintin is that ok with you?"
He then take place on the back of the sled hoping the dog know where to go. Gripping the handles with all his force he shout:
"Avoye Rintintin! Sacrons l'camp d'icitte!" (Animal Handling: 3)

Kato would stick next to or just behind Korfer.
(Juliet would be up front, possibly with Soren.)
