Once back on dry ground, Irtos says a quick prayer of thanks to Bahamut, She is very glad that she had been granted a mending spell to fix the hole in the boat before it sank!
"Elder Runara should be able to help us find him, let's head there first."
Having gotten wet and cold, not to mention his worries as the boat filled with water, he thanks Irtos. "I thought for sure we were swimming back after that last hole!"
"I'm gonna get this harpy to the kitchen and prepare dumplings tonight. Ill bring up dinner for us and Elder Runara when its ready" Lothar throws the corpse over his back and starts the climb to the kitchen.
After the party gets out of the boat Cherry compulsively walks around the boat tapping the sand and prodding it with her staff. "There's a demon in that thing." she snarls accusingly at it. As the husband gets mentioned she focuses back to the task at hand, "Very well. Lead the way." she follows behind Lothar with his harpy quarry.
Borvnir trudges behind the party as they head back into Dragon's Rest, his mind occupied with thoughts on what the talisman might taste like: Probably better then a mouse, or just about the same now I think about it. Ooh, but there's no flesh on this thing, just hair and bone...that's a shame.
Lothar splits up to go find Laylee in the kitchen. Getting volunteers to start making dough as he finishes butchering the eagles. Bones and scrapple going into a stock pot. The meat going into the broiler. Once he gets the meat cooking, he shows his volunteers how to make dumpling and bread bowls.
As you find Elder Runara, you notice that the Kobolds look at you with a certain new respect. When you ask about Aleitha’s husband, Runara nods sadly. "I remember her husband. A very kind man by the name of Brastos. Many days he would sit by the sea, watching the waters and waiting for something. When he was asked about it, he would simply say, 'Someone very special is coming here.' Unfortunately, he died many years ago. He was buried at the top of the cliffs, up at the north of the island." She walks away sadly, head bowed.
Lothar only:
You seem to have lost the harpy meat on the trip back to the island, but the eagle meat is still there. The kobolds are quite happy to help cook.
"Well that puts a damper in our plans with the talisman." says Cherry nonchalantly. "Fellow ran off on us to the afterlife." There's a tinge in her voice as if she sees him as the lucky one. She thinks for a moment and turns to Irtos, "Think you could cast some of that radiant spell on it?" She pulls out a holy symbol. "Perhaps we could start a protective ring around it."
Lothar shreds up the meat after cooking and shows Laylee and company how to cook and season the poultry and dumplings stew. Grabbing a tray and bowls of stew, he heads to meet up with his companions.
When Zin sees Lothar and smells the stew he sits down takes off his boots and quickly heads over to the rest of the group. “Thank you Lothar you are the very best cook!”
"I got to give credit to Laylee and her friends, it's alot easier to prepare meals with help" Lothar says as he gives Zin a crumble of cheese for his mouse.
Borvnir doesn't even try to feign sadness at hearing the widow is long dead. When Elder Runera is out of earshot, he turns to Cherry and retorts to her suggestion with 'Or, we could go with the original back-up plan and just let me eat it now! C'mon, since the guy's dead we've barely got any other options now, and sometimes the best fix is the quickest and easiest, i.e. swallow your problems!' He gives a fanged grin and barely contains his glee; having the widow out of the equation means it is well and truly the party's choice what happens to the talisman, and now Borvnir's got no worries about having to steal the talisman back from the widow after giving it to him, or whatever else he would have had to do. Now he just needs to argue his case, and see what happens.
Irtos comments, "I still think we should return the talisman to her husband, even if it's just returning it to his grave. It might be enough to give both of their spirits rest. If that doesn't' work, then we can try to destroy it."

Irtos asks, "How can we tell where his grave is? Is there a marker?"
"Very well then." says Cherry. "Off to graves shall we?"
Remembering the flurry of kobolds from the day before, she attempts to keep hidden behind Zinzax throughout the journey. "Ye like those don't ye?" she says to make conversation.

Irtos is looking for Elder Runara. I'm guessing most of the rest of the team will follow.
Zin continues to try and follow from a distance using his new elven boots of stealth. Stealth 19
