The five large mushrooms suddenly sprout six root-like legs and waddle about. The myconid approaches allure and Zerxius, spraying rapport spores onto them.
~IN-TRU-DERRRS!~ The myconid yelled telepathicaly. ~What do you want!? Are you with the gobliiiiiins!?~
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
::Don't yell!::
Allure has some experience with speaking telepathically, but it's still annoying.
::I told you, we're travelers. No, we're not with goblins. What I want, is some answers. So calm down and help us out. The quicker we get our answers, the quicker we'll be out of your... pileus.::
Persuasion: 16
Probably should've tried Intimidation or Deception, but oh well.
It takes a lot a of effort to not think what Allure actually wants to think, but he manages, for now.
~Oh why didn't you say so!?~ The mushroom man telepathed happily. It seemed that he was if it wasn't obvious already, an airhead. The mushroom man promptly dropped his sword and held out a fungal appendage for a handshake. ~I heard that most humanoids do what is called, 'quaking of the arms' in which they exchange greetings. I am Gomphus, sentinel of the Spore Grove.~
::It's a pleasure to meet you. We're looking for a group of artifacts and are lead to believe one of them is somewhere near. They are crystalline structures which resemble gems. They probably glow, give off some aura or produce another magical effect. Have you heard of anything of the sort?::
"Will you please stop praying already? It makes my horns itch," he practically hisses. "Besides, I think your imaginary friend has heard you the first forty times!"
"Tempus is no mere imaginary friend, he has guided me through some of the most challenging experiences of my life" Boxey responds. "I'm sure you have something or someone you believe in that keeps you going. If not, I feel sorry for you." She walks a few feet away and sits down to meditate.
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
I have an intelligence of six, I know what I'm doing.
"I hardly require your pity, priestess. Just to keep your prayers at the safe distance. I am, after all, a demons spawn," Allure grinned, shifting his eyes into complete darkness for a second using Thaumaturgy. He than turned his mind to the conversation with Gomphus, awaiting response.
NB!I will be absent July 25th to 29th due to travel, I won't be able to post in this time. I would hate to halt the game, however, so if you could go ahead and let Allure tag along for a while, I'd be completely alright with that. Just pretend he's furniture.
Also, I don't mind if DM decides to take act as Allure should you need him for combat or something. Just please stay in his lawful evil character ;-)
I will also not mind paused game, obviously, but that's at your discretion.
(Yeah if you want to interact with Allure I'll just give a brief description of what he would do, given his Lawful Evil allignment. Papaver when you get back I'll summarize what you missed.)
The party walked through a town full of mushroom huts. Myconids roamed the streets slowly and emotionlessly, in stark contrast to Gomphus. They soon reached the largest hut. Standing in front of it was a huge, eight foot tall myconid.
~I am sovereign Cortinarius. I cannot speak long, we are in danger. What is it that you need.~
Zerxius is behind and to the left of Allure

Allure reached out and shaked mushroommans hand.

Gomphus rubbed his chin, pondering. He didn't seem to know he was supposed to let go of Allure's hand, and he held on.
~I don't know, but Sovereign Cortinarius may!~ Gomphus said. ~Come, let's go into the village!~
Allure jerked his hand back and snapped his tail.
::First of all, when my people greet each other, we only touch briefly. Secondly, who the... hell is Soven Cor-whatever?::

Boxey whispers a prayer to Tempus, hoping all goes well.

Allure gives Boxey a grim look.

Gomphus stared for a long time at his hand after Allure jerked away from it. He then looked back at the tiefling.
~Oh! He's our leader! Come! Right this way!~ He said, wandering toward a path in the trees. ~Cortinarius will help you!~
Zerxius holds his arm open in an "after you" gesture to Allure
