Kirinar was busy looking at the statues and didn't hear the snick or see the hail of rocks and debris flying towards him. He wasn't at all distracted by the way the female elves moved so gracefully, or the way their hair fell about their achingly beautiful faces, or their eyes, or...no, it was the serpentine statues...that was it...
OOC: Had to have SOME kind of reason for that miserable roll 8-D
The blast of pebbles and rocks burst away from the barricade. Everyone is either able to dodge out of the way or their armor stops the stuff from causing any harm ... except for Kirinar who takes 6 damage from the blast.
You hear the screams of Kobolds as the left side of the barricade comes down and 4 Kobolds begin to rush out.
Everyone is standing just inside the door except Keyleth that is in front of the barricade. The first Kobold is in front of the barricade next to Keyleth. The rest are behind it. So about 35 ft separation. K2 3 and 4 have half cover at this point as they are still coming out.
Keyleth, finding herself in the strategically unenviable position of being about to be surrounded by kobolds, focuses on dodge-ing their attacks, and retreats 30 ft toward the entrance and the rest of the party.
Faen dodges. As always trying to talk before issuing harm, ”My friends and I apologize for disturbing you. We don’t have to fight. We can just talk. Let’s be diplomatic about this.” (In Draconic)

The first Kobold sees an opportunity but misses as Keyleth nimbly dodges out of the way.
Ransyl dodges and makes sure to place himself between the Kobolds and his less armored teammates, holding his greataxe at the ready.
Faen dodges. As always trying to talk before issuing harm, ”My friends and I apologize for disturbing you. We don’t have to fight. We can just talk. Let’s be diplomatic about this.” (In Draconic) but all of the Kobold's start sneering and jeering at you and yelling for you to leave their home.
As Kobold 2 comes out from behind the barricade it fires a sling at Radagast hitting him in the head for 3 damage.
Kobold 3 fires a sling at Ransyl but the shot goes wide.
My apologies for the late post, I am used to one of the campaigns I am in that gets everyone's posts and then puts them up. No biggie, I'll keep posting in order here.

Kirinar assesses the tactical situation, watching where his colleagues go and how the kobolds array for their attack. He didn't like being their target and so decides to take matters into his gauntleted hands. He will move forward down the hall and engage the closest kobold with is morningstar! "Pelor guide my weapon! We will prevail today!"

Keyleth, having gotten some distance between herself and the group of Kobolds, readies an arrow in her shortbow. While the kobold [K1] nearest Kirinar is mid-lunge, she fires it at its head, going for the kill.
Attack: 11 Damage: 11
Watching the arrow go right through the spot where the kobold's head had been a split second ago but no longer was, Keyleth pulls back to position herself just outside the door to the chamber so she has some cover from the frenzy of slingshots.
Ransyl, ready for a chance two swing his greataxe again, sees his window, and in a fluid motion of balance and power makes his way to the most heavily armored Kobold (K1) slashing into his new foe.
Having seen one of the kobolds actually hit the wizard on the head, Faen moves herself slightly closer to Radagast, ready to heal him if hit again, but for now Faen casts frostbite on Kobold2 with a bit of a guilty look on her face, muttering an apology.

(OOC: I think Ransyl and Kirinar are standing next to each other. In that case, Kirinar will use his Protection reaction to cause the kobold #3 to attack at disadvantage. =) While wielding a shield and a creature you can see attacks a target other than you within 5 ft., you can use your reaction to impose disadvantage on the attack roll.)
Kirinar uses his shield to help protect his fighter ally standing next to him, then swings his weapon at the cold-affected kobold.
Attack: 18 Damage: 5
The spiked head of his weapon hits hard, piercing armor and flesh with a sickly scrunching sound... "Hah! Take that, you little monster!"
