Yuri will sheath his sword and gathers around Iarno with the others. He feels fatigued, tired down to his bones. Glancing at Sildar, he follows on from Kim's accusation.
"How long have you been the agent of this Drow? When did you betray your friends in the Lord's Alliance."
His disgust is obvious as he finishes his line of inquiry, almost spitting the words at Iarno.
"The bugbears are back at the manor. Very ill-tempered creatures. The Black Spider contacted me, promised me power. I have been leading the Redbrands for a few months now."
"Well then. You can show us these bugbear at the manor, because we didn't see them. If you try anything, we may just lose our grip on you in the room with the creator and the creature. He seems like he wants a friend."
Sildar suggests that bringing Iarno back to the manor would be an unwise decision. Iarno is a powerful wizard that has proved himself to misty step away from danger. Also a some of Iarno’s men may still be in the manor willing to fight if Iarno were to return bound.
"Kim, maybe we can tackle these bugbears indirectly... Should we further this ruse and spread word that the Black Spider has betrayed Glasstaff to the Lord's Alliance, maybe our foes will turn on each other. Glasstaff, What is this Wave Echo Cave that you mention? Why do the Bugbears know of it?"
"Morpetor, Kim, are any of Glasstaff's items worthy of your use since I believe he will have little use for them in the future."
A search if Iarno's person finds a few notable things of loot. There is a pouch that contains 180 sp, 130 gp, and another silk pouch inside containing five carnelians (10 gp each), two peridots (15 gp each), and one pearl (100 gp). A leather tube hold two scrolls inside: a scroll of charm person and a scroll of fireball.
Vah'Lhorn turns to Sildar and suggests "Perhaps some of the coin can go towards the townsfolk that have been wronged by his Redbrands, and Iarno's deception?"
"Wizard, what is this Wave Echo Cave that you mention? What relevance does it have to the Spider?" Vah'Lhorn turns back to Iarno and asks his questions again.
Iarno watches Kim's actions, felling a tree with a single bold if ice, striking fear into the traitorous wizard.
"More than five hundred years ago, clans of dwarves and gnomes made an agreement known as the Phandelver's Pact, by which they would share a rich mine in a wondrous cavern known as Wave Echo Cave. In addition to its mineral wealth, the mine contained great magical power. Human spellcasters allied themselves with the dwarves and gnomes to channel and bind that energy into a great forge called the Forge of Spells, where magic items could be crafted.
Times were good, and Phandalin flourished as well. But then disaster struck when orcs swept through the North and laid waste to all in their path. A powerful force of orcs reinforced by evil mercenary wizards attacked Wave Echo Cave to seize its riches and magic treasures. Human wizards fought alongside their dwarf and gnome allies to defend the Forge of Spells, and the ensuing spell battle destroyed much of the cavern. Few survived the cave-ins and tremors, and the location of Wave Echo Cave was lost.
The Black Spider is trying to find the Forge of Spells. You can't imagine the power inside the forge."
(Update your sheets with the loot you're taking and I assume you do-gooders are wanting to give the coins back to the city?)
Yuri turns his head to Sildar. Having heard the words of Iarno regarding this Wave Echo Cave, he cannot help but wonder at has drawn the Lords Alliance to Phandalin. His eyes narrow as he questions him.
"Is this the same thing that Gundren was seeking when he set out? Is this what has drawn the Lords Alliance here as well?"
OOC Yuri would want to help the town too, although he would want the scrolls to be kept by the party.

Iarno explains he does not know Gundren personally but is aware of who he is. Iarno tells you that the rumor was the Black Spider had paid a goblin clan on the road to ambush Gundren and take him to Cragmaw Castle where the goblin chieftain resides. The Black Spider wanted the dwarf and "some map." That is all he really knows about that.
Sildar will answer the second part. "The Lord's Alliance, specifically Iarno, was sent here to help restore Phandalin to a civilized center of wealth and prosperity. But then it had been reported that Iarno went missing. I was sent to investigate the fate of larno under the guise of security for Gundren. I met Gundren in Neverwinter and agreed to accompany him back to Phandalin. It became a secondary port of the mission to assist Gundren in reopening the mine. You must find Gundren and hopefully he is still alive. I can give you 500 gp as a reward if you can locate Cragmaw Castle and defeat or drive off the tribe's chieftain. You may find the castle by searching the lands around the Triboar Trail for more goblin raiding parties."
Morpetor places the scrolls and pearl in his bag, “Yes, let’s give this money to families in need. Sildar, What is your next move?”
"Iarno will stand for his crimes. I will see to that. The coin he held will be distributed throughout the city. No doubt this was money taken from the locals."
Sildar escorts Iarno to the townmaster's hall and leaves you to your own devices.
Kimberly thinks to herself, 'great this simple mission keeps getting more and more complicated. When I get a moment to myself I need to report back again'
“Indeed, I have a feeling that I will need all of my arcane talents available to me for the next leg of our journey. As well as some time to look over my spell book.”
You all make it back to Stonehill Inn. There are plenty of rooms for you all to retire to for the evening. The night comes and goes. Everyone most likely slept a few hours longer than required, but it was well earned. The morning light is now cutting into the cracks between the curtains.
Kim wakes up and slips out to send a report to her Captian, then runs around a few blocks for a morning workout. She ends her trip by stopping by the inn again and ordering a small meal and juice to wait on the others.

"Fine!"
Kim turns away from Iarno and blast a Ray of Frost at a tree near by.
"Also, I have no need for the wears of a traitor."
“I could make good use of his pearl and those scrolls.”

OOC- I vote yes to donating the coins to the city. Kim will actually abstain from what to do with it.

Yuri looks to the rest of the group, then back to the door of the inn.
"I don't know about the rest of you, but I could use some sleep. I lost track of how long we spent in that manor, but it was long enough."
"That idea sounds good to me. First round will be on me."
