The goblin starts to choke on Darthos water, but remains unconscious. Everyone looks to Kim. Kill the goblin, leave him be or wait for him to awake.......
Seeing the stares from the others and hearing their concerns from earlier, Kim decides to do what might please the most people. "Yuri, use the rope you grabbed to tie him to a tree. Once that is done, Gramgran, double check him to make sure he won't choke to death will we leave him. We will push on ahead into the cave afterwards. I will walk 10 feet in front so if something happens I'll take the hit instead of someone else. The reason for that much distance is so we may surprise someone if they jump me as they may not expect the rest of you. Gramgran, you seem to be the fastest of us, plus our biggest asset, so we need you to trail at the back. Yuri, you seem to do well with spotting traps, so I would like you to follow me. Renvalm, could you stay near Gramgran, so we have some physical strength at our rear? Morpetor and Darthos, yall will play the middle ground since you both have range with your spells, and have versatile uses."
She scanned the group after telling the plan to them, measuring how well they actually fit. Its almost uncanny how a group of strangers can function so well. Kim has seen platoons that never got deployed because they couldn't figure out the formula to work properly together. Of course those soldiers took their orders, but that's not all there is in battle. Everyone needed to be an individual unit that makes up a greater purpose, and this team has it. For the first time around this group, Kim had a legitimate sweet smile creep upon her face. After a second or two passes, she turns to stare at the cave and starts checking her supplies in her bag.
"That goblin seems uncannily resilient in his unconsciousness," Darthos says as he straps the waterskin back to his belt, looking over at Kim as she spoke the commands and nodded. "Sounds good enough for me. I guess we're actually doing this then."There was a bit of apprehension still within him that he was trying to fight off, but the words of Kim resounded in his mind, that the brave were not those without fear but that went ahead despite it. And it seemed so easy to the rest of them, the way this entire thing came so easy to them, but he would prove himself if he had to. He will become great.
Gramgran - medical check to make sure ropes won't kill the goblin
Kim takes the group to the cave mouth and stands before the opening. As Kim begins to enter, she notices the complete darkness. Sunlight pours in about 15 feet into the mouth. Kim can see that about 10 feet in, the cave opens up to the right. A few uneven steps look like they lead.... somewhere.
Those with dark vision can see further into the cave. You see what Kim sees plus a bit further into the cave. The path continues into the cave following the stream. At about 30 feet in, you can see to the left of the stream another notch in the cave wall about the size of a human. At about 40 feet, you can see a rickey wooden and rope bridge over the stream, about 20 feet high.
Getting up from where he was keeping watch on the cave entrance Renvalm falls in line with Gramgran. He keeps his axe at the ready in case someone try's to come at them from behind. Straining his hears, he listens, trying to hear anything out of the ordinary over the sound of the stream.

“Spirit. In every language in all the Realms, surface and Underdark, in every time and every place, the word has a ring of strength and determination. It is the hero's strength, the mother's resilience and the poor man's armor. It cannot be broken and it cannot be taken away.”
As Morpetor approach his appointed place within this newly formed team, he placed his hand on Darthos’ shoulder.
“You are strong in the arcane, it will be a pleasure to be at your side.”
He also noticed more of what laid before them.
“There appears to be a slight bend in the stream ahead and a rickety old bridge just after. It looks as if there is a notch in the wall across the stream just at the bend. Keep an eye out for any goblin archers that may be waiting for us.”

Darthos Tay
He walks with the others as they begin to approach the cave, his mind racing and his heart beginning to beat faster with each step he takes. It was a shame they weren't able to get any information from the goblin, he would have thought the water would have done the trick and even had an entire routine lined up in his mind for what he would've done to try and scare the goblin. He was demonic in appearance, but perhaps they would have an opportunity within the cave.
He then suddenly feels a hand on his shoulder. "You too, my friend," he says, "two wizards. These poor goblins won't know what came at them." Despite his bravado words, his heart still races, feeling as though its within his throat. Steeling himself, he peers into the cave, seeing what Morpetor is describing and trying to see if there's anything else within or any possible ambushes, the adrenaline somehow focusing his senses into the cave.
Kim grabs a small torch from her bag and cast Prestidigitation to light it. Knowing Yuri, Darthos, and Morpetor have darkvision so they can still see further than her, she keeps in constant contact with the 3 of them with her Whisper spell. "If you see any movement, let me know and I will shut off my light so we won't be easily spotted."
After noticing the splits, Kim walks to the opening of the pathway to the right, since it is the closest and attempts to see down it. Looking for any information she may gain from it.
Perception 14
After looking down the pathway a bit, she relays what she can tell to the others, then ask if they want to try this route or move on. She cast whisper again, but this time she does it to each individual member. "Hold up your right hand if you think we should take this pathway. If you think we should try a different pathway hold up your left hand." This method was one she used for her troop to relay messages, except for them it was a I understand or please repeat my instructions. She felt like this was the perfect time to use this system again, but with a better introduce mechanic.
When Kim lights her torch, Darthos sees a goblin archer run from the bridge to the right. The goblin is now out of sight of the group.
Just inside the cave mouth, a few uneven stone steps lead up to a small, dank chamber on the east side of the passage. The cave narrows to a steep fissure at the far end, and is filled with the stench of animals. Three wolves are confined here. Each wolf's chain leads to an iron rod driven into the base of a stalagmite. The chains are too short for a wolf to attack anyone at the steps.
Kim - give me a stealth check.
Stealth 10 or lower - You wake the wolves. Savage snarls and the sounds of rattling chains greet your ears as they begin to wake from their slumber.
Stealth 11 or higher - The wolves continue to sleep as you enter up the steps, if you choose.
The beasts remain asleep. The path is only wide enough to travel single file. Do you want to continue along the path or enter the chamber where the wolves are?
Gramgran is certain the knoting will not kill the goblin in anyway.
As the only heavily member of the group enters the cave. She trips on a small crack within the floor. She falls to the side into the wall, clanking her loud armor. The clanking has awoken the not so happy wolives. They spot Gramgran at the steps and advance toward her until the chain is taut. The beasts and trying to break free from the chains as they continue to claw the stone, but not gaining any distance. The anchors seem to be getting looser with every yank on the chain.....
Where is Gramgran in the marching order? This can be discussed in the message thread. Kim was first I know. I would assume Gramgran is somewhere in the middle.
Marching order: Kim, Yuri, Gramgran, Darthos, Morpetor, Renvalm.

Yuri Naïlo
Yuri raises his shield and steps between Gramgran and the wolves. He draws his sword slowly and adopts a defensive posture. "Pick a route, I will either push forward or bring up the rear."
Seeing that the wolves cannot reach him, he wonders whether they would attack him if they could, or simply make a run for the wilds and freedom.
Skill check - Insight 13 Yuri is trying to determine whether the wolves are the trained pets of the goblins who live in the caves, or animals that have been chained up?

Darthos Tay
Darthos watches with wide eyes as the hounds struggle against their chain, their maws gnashing and he can tell the moment they're freed chaos will ensue. He knows he can easily shoot off a fire bolt but what are the implications of such a thing. Is he willing to kill an innocent, albeit rabid, creature for their safety? He struggles with this thought for a moment until he finally comes to a decision. "You wouldn't put guard dogs where it wasn't important," he agrees with Morpetor.
His hand stretches out and draws in the air a wide circle as he chants an incantation, the circle glowing a deep red from the arcane energy; more circles appear within the first, spinning and tumbling within as he continues chanting and sticks his hand inside; the inner circles coalesce into a compact form on his palm for a moment then suddenly turn into a small ball of fire, while the other circles spin down his arm, his red tiefling skin flaking off to reveal a charred and burned forearm as he finishes casting fire bolt, and hurls it at one of the two dogs.
Darthos Tay
"I'm going to try something," Darthos says and pulls the water skin from his belt and pours some of it on the face of the goblin.
