The veteran legionnaire smiles really widely "Ah, your one silver looks very much as if it was ten gold... also, you should have waited for me to roll after your first one. You will learn sooner or later, but I would advise you to keep your eyes and ears more open, recruit.
"Hm. I will let you have my silver, recruit. Also, you can keep the wineskin, it is almost empty. Next time, pay attention to what others tell you, and just a word of advice... if you like your gold, don't go around flaunting it too much in the city. You are pretty safe here in the Citadel, but not even your uniform will save you from pickpockets and robbers once you are outside."
He hands you the silver that he originally offered, and walks away. One of the soldiers from the back approaches you:
"I am willing to play in higher stakes, if you are ready."
"The dice have obviously been tampered with, the likely hood of you rolling 5 of a kind in two rolls when I have 4 of kind are dubious beyond belief" (actual statistic on that is less than one percent)
" What kind of scam are you two running here ? You lose the first few rolls when the bets are in silver, then start to swindle away as the stakes have been raised to gold? " I throw all my 10 gp at them. "is this enough coin for you to stop for the night? Or does your greed know no bounds? "
I'm fuming with anger and ready to throw down in any form they choose. Regardless if the dwarf has my back or not.
As you state this, suddenly everyone goes silent, and turns towards the two of you. The soldier whom you accused of cheating narrows his eyes, and you can see his jaw clench. His eyes almost seem to be on fire as he hisses to you: "You have insulted the wrong legionnaire, maggot. See you at midnight at the back wall of the Citadel. Bring a rapier, or whatever your kind fights with." He throws your money in your face and then spits in the sand in front of you, then walks away.
I have no desire to perceive anything around me.... and as he's bending for my coin I shuffle dirt in his general direction, as I assume he's picking it up to keep it. I sharpen my rapier " or whatever my kind fights with" and I wait for him behind the wall of the citadell.
I ready an action to attack him as soon as he shows up and opens his **** mouth.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
22 for my perception
I also want to grab human boy and say
"Lad are ye sure this is a good course o' action? Blindsiding a guy randomly, especially another legionnaire might get us in trouble with the law.... Are ye sure this is what ye wanna do? If so I'll stand wit yer laddy."
***** please, you know I got your back

he makes his first roll: 21
"Hm. I will let you have my silver, recruit. Also, you can keep the wineskin, it is almost empty. What do the other players do?
I don't know how much 2 silver buy me. But if it buys wine, I will use my winnings for that, and my friends.
"Im willing to bet it all" how does 3gp starting bet sound (to a maximum of what on the second bet?) "
I'll make the first roll. 2 1 2 5 6
Hurthrun goes searching for the gambling human and once he finds him wants to cheer him on.... It'll go along the lines of
" AYE YES LADDY!!!! BRING THE GOLD HOME FER DADDY!!!!! THE HOOKERS ARE ON YE TONIGHT ME BOY!!!!"
The new soldier is thin, tall, has dark hair and dark skin. He does not look like an Imperial at all, and he speaks the language with a weird accent.
"Three gold it is. Let's see where the dice roll!"
He also makes his first roll: 6 4 4 3 3
If I'm allowed a second bet I bet again. (another 3gp)
I hold my 2 pairs. (2's) 2 2 4
That would be 4 of a kind.
Does Kitti get bonuses on his rolls for my exuberance?
He accepts your bet and rolls again, keeping the two 6's
1 2 5
Wow, I didn't expect this :D It would have meant an advantage on any perception checks, in case the other guy tried cheating
The soldier starts grinning "Well, I guess this makes me the winner, doesn't it? I am glad we started playing, hehehe."

Roll a perception check, both of you!
