"My name's Danvi," the elf extended a hand as the group headed towards the council. "And I'm afraid I know about as much about starbeasts as you do. Seems like they're fairly dangerous, though." Eager to keep the conversation going, he continued. "So what brings you three to Nuras?"
Jethro looks to Danvi with a dull stare, as if not everything is there. "It is the first village I have come across. I wish to know what is going on." He readjusts his shoulders to help carry the chest tied up with his hands holding onto the end. "I want to find out why the stars are falling, and what is means for those who exist here. Perhaps a dragon knows more."
Riot shakes his head, "I have no information of star beasts besides what I can infer from the name. And my reason for being here is to search for a suitable offering for my creator's benefactor. The head of an unknown beast sounds very appealing and to see if they bring any other valuables on them."
Shortly after this conversation, you arrive at the council-house, whose doors are open. After telling the receptionist, a relatively young half-elf, why you've arrived, she tells you to take a seat and wait. After a few minutes of awkward silence in the waiting room, she leads you down through to the building to a room in the back of the building.
Here sit five cloaked individuals sitting on comfortable looking sofa chairs. Each appears to be incredibly old, their hair grey if present and their skin wrinkled (except the elven and dragonborn members of council). The group consists of an elven man, a dwarven woman, a bald human man, a bronze-scaled dragonborn (whose gender you cannot determine), and a tiefling woman. They stare at you, before the dragonborn speaks, revealing themselves as female. "So you come before us in order to serve the city of Nuras, by undertaking our founder's request? Name yourselves and your skills, for we cannot accept the weak for this task."
The dwarf barely lets the dragonborn finish before speaking herself. "Bah, the only one of this lot that'd have any strength is that one made of metal and wood. The others are clearly not of any muscle."
The tiefling then speaks. "The elf among them is clearly of some skill, and that would make up for lack of strength. The boy in blue is clearly a wizard of some sort to boot."
"And what of the other human, eh? not an ounce of muscle, and no signs of magic."
The elf then speaks. "He's got some talent, that much I can gauge. I think he'll be just as capable of the others."
Finally, the human speaks, his voice the most raspy of the lot. "Oh shut up the lot of you. We've asked them to speak, so let them speak."

"I am Raviel Nosgoth of Qorah," Raviel answers the council when they stopped talking amongst themselves, "and you are quite correct that I am a wizard, one with a talent for divination. I can blast enemies with elemental energies, protect small areas, create magical disguises and more. My abilities allow me to conceal, to protect, and to destroy my enemies. The hawk upon my shoulder, is Talon, and as you may have surmised, he is my familiar."
Raviel bows his head respectfully as he finishes to signify the end of his introduction.
Danvi, in contrast to Raviel, bowed slightly before introducing himself. "I am Danvi Madyrdae,. I have been trained in an ancient form of combat known as taernaa. I seek to aid the people of this world as much as I can while fulfilling my sworn duty." The elf seemed to drop his casual attitude with his introduction.
Riot stands at attention before the council, "I am Riot, I was made to protect individuals and suppress aggressive protesters and the like. I was specially made to handle the brunt of attacks and to hold the line for my compatriots. I am now free of my occupation once I procure the necessary offerings to my creator's protector and I hope to seek it here, whether it be from your founder or from the hostiles you wish us to investigate."
Jethro just watches the arguing people ahead of him, just studying them as they openly critique the party. "I go by the name Jethro. My... abilities with the arcane differ from most, be it healing light or darkness' might."
He keeps his statement simple, yet open to interpretation, as he himself is still learning about himself and what he can do.
The council listens as the group introduces themselves, nodding as talents are mentioned. The elf's eyes seem to light up at Danvi's mention of Taernaa, but otherwise seems the most critical of the the group. As soon as the group finish speaking, the council directs them to wait outside while they deliberate.
After stepping outside and waiting for several minutes, you are called back into the room. The dragonborn speaks to you once again. "You all have your own merits, so you have been accepted by the council to aid Nuras. Before we continue, you must sign these documents that say you cannot speak about the task until Nuras says otherwise."
After you all sign the documents, she continues. "Nuras is building a small militia, which, now that you've been accepted numbers ten as well as himself. Yes, it is very small, but he insisted that it contains only powerful people. Kind of hard to find many people like that here, so he won't complain about the small number. Anyway, the task involved heading to the mountain. Nuras has found something there that he wants to either bring back or destroy, from what we've been told. He'll be in town three days from now, so you'll have until then to prepare. He wants you to arrive here at dawn that day, and we will take you to the proper meeting place. Any questions?"

"Is there anything in particular we should be expecting? I'm not exactly familiar with these parts," Danvi asked. "And are we allowed to know who else is in the militia? I'm fairly curious as to who we'll be working with."
"Regarding the first of your questions, we know little more than any other local in that regard. The typical fauna include goats and birds, and there's at least one tribe of ogres residing on the mountain, despite all attempts to remove them..."
"Your fellow servants of Nuras in this task, most are outsiders like yourselves, but there is one local of this town among your number. The proprietor of the Wandering Mountain tavern, Gauthak, was the first to make the cut. I'm not sure where the others are staying, though."

"No questions." Jethro says. "We shall meet in three days time."
Another three days, Jethro thinks to himself. That is not a long time to wait before we can progress.I wonder what Nuras will be like. I haven't seen a dragon since... since... Jethro tries to recall the last time he saw a dragon, but comes up blank. He tries to change the subject in his mind. Perhaps I should go speak to this Gaurthak. They may be able to tell us about what we may find, and how better to prepare.
So the goliath is part of it. He kept that hidden well. Raviel thought to himself as he listened to the council. "I will return in three days." He said before taking his leave and returning to the Wandering Mountain where he orders food, water, and enquires about a place to stay for the next three days.
If the group is disbanding for the meantime, Jethro will also return to The Wandering Mountain to see the goliath Gaurthak, ready to question this individual.
"It is an honor to be chosen for this event," Danvi said, bowing once more before leaving. As soon as he got outside, he let out a nervous exhale. "That was stressful. Authority figures can be really scary sometimes." He continued with the group as they went to the Wandering Mountain, making casual conversation as they walked.
"They are too judgemental for initial appearances." Jethro comments as they walk, his current aim focused on returning to The Wandering Mountain. "It is a detriment to them to judge by first meetings. Not everything is as it seems." He continues in silence beyond that, unless someone else brings up a discussion topic.
The group returns to the Wandering Mountain, and upon entering the tavern, it's owner, Gauthak comes over as they sit down. "Want another drink? Or will you be looking for rooms for the night?"

"I would like to purchase a room please." He walks up to the man, "A small one shall do. And I may be in stasis until the third unless you require me for other duties." He looks to others if they needed anything from him.
