Welcome to the Land of Criasseria! Where Native American tribes became kingdoms and rule the vast majority of the land! Allow me to put in the bit of history of the land of Criasseria:
Lady Criasseria and King Brozagarth were twins whose parents ruled most of the world. After the death of their parents they had to rule the Empire together. Lady Criasseria was a gentle but firm leader while King Brozagarth had a warrior's heart and spent most of the time outside their kingdom. For many decades they had ruled their Empire together, beloved by the many people who felt safe by their King's military, and loved by their Lady's wonderful magic. For they were all one people, one continent, one in all.
Nature has a way of changing the world in it's mysterious ways. The lands split up with a massive shake of the ground, the oceans dividing the new lands that were created. This was devastating for the King and Lady, but they had agreed to take care of their lands separately, and see how they evolved with their separate rule. Several hundred years later, the rulers pass away. Different races of the lands learned to live together, but not in the way you think. In the land of Criasseria, the gods were absolutely more real than you could possibly imagine.
The party of adventurers were all invited to attend a wedding in the town of Aquarin, a city of the water kingdom. An unlikely wedding, but you were sent to keep careful watch while also enjoying the festivities of the union of the Aquatic Elf Lady Haera, and Forest Gnome Lord Jorpo. The wedding is taken place outside their castle. It is about 3pm in the afternoon, all is quite lovely. There are lots of different races dressed in ceremonial clothing. There are children running around playing tag, tables with lots of food on them, a nice glass bowl with some wine. On a large stand you can see the Forest Gnome Jorpo in a chieftan’s headress with a gold dipped feathers with a light blue and leather vest. While Lady Haera wears an elegant dress with designs of what are like waves of the ocean, while the waves are surprisingly shaped like mermaids.
Nevitash couldn't help but admire Lady Haera. She looked beautiful in her wedding clothes. The event was elegant. Everyone looked so happy. Lord Jorpo, though shorter than any male Nevitash could ever find attractive, looked regal and proud in his garb. The two looked pleased with their union. Nevitash wondered if the marriage was for love or for political reasons. She hoped it was for both. The kalashtar druid looked down at the back of her tan hand. She could imagine the tattoo of commitment the wives of her tribe bare on their hands upon her own. The intricate design of rings and vines is as beautiful as the love they share with their mates, whose tattoos are just as fetching, though more masculine. Her unadorned tan hands and forearms are a stark contrast to the whiteness of the paint which coats Nevitash's exposed shoulders, neck and face. A different, yet similar substance has also turned her dark hair white. It falls in ropes from the top of her head, held away from her face by a white band, and adorned with smallish light brown twigs. Her black eyes stare out from her white face like crows resting upon a snow-covered hill. But the most interesting — if interesting can be used negatively — part of her visage is the ugly stone hung around her neck by a thin gold chain. The stone, not cut in any fashionable shape, is an extremely dark green and larger than one would think for the chain. It, like her eyes, stands out in stark contrast to her whitewashed skin. Her appearance is finished by her floor-length brown gown which is neither beautiful nor ugly — another symbol of her calling as protector. Sheathed at her side is her scimitar. She wasn't currently wearing her shield, deciding to hide the item nearby in case of need. She sighs a little, tearing her eyes away from her hands and once again scanning the party for any sign of trouble.

Noldeme always had a more social, and casual way to her personality, and it also affected her clothing style, so the more complex dresses and garments present in this cerimony were an odd sight to her, but that was far away from her main concern. She looked lost amidst the other protectors set to keep watch, since only recently did she know of the ability that would grant her the calling to accomplish this task.
The clothing she was wearing was more sophisticated than what she normally wore, that means, a bit worse of, when compared with the other members attending the ceremony, her face was pale white, and she painted it, to show some decency and respect to the event happening this afternoon, and some ornaments on top of her ear, a feather, a flower, and other details she didn't care a lot about, since she wasn't the exact responsible for it.
Noldeme, just as at least one of the other guards, searches for any possible source of conflict around the location.

Void stood vigilant, the tall humanoid with sand coloured skin and red hair, wearing blue flowing robes and a well crafted wooden staff.
He was slightly impatient, he could be training his spells, or searching for more tomes instead. There was nothing to do here, only watch and observe. At least someone could break into the event so that something, anything, would happen.
Looking arround he kept searching for anything that could disturb this boredom, not trully knowiing if he was doing this for himself or for those who invited him.
On the other side of the room stands Percy, a tall, slender man with his tossed black hair covering his right eye. Maintaining a different vantage point of the crowd, he watches the blind spots of the other protectors to ensure nothing takes the group by surprise. He considers his potential reactions should something happen, planning contingencies and fallbacks - all of which notably exclude the rest of the group from holding any critical roles in the plan. The others may not have fully gained his trust quite yet, but he cares enough for them at this point to keep them alive, if not happy. After losing so many people close to him, making (and relying on) new friends comes slowly - even friends that have saved his life a time or two.
Percy takes a moment to silently gaze at the happy couple being wed, longing to know what such a relationship might feel like. He gazes on the form of the Lady, studying her intently, wondering what it might be like to live as she does. Percy quickly shakes off the thoughts, scolding himself for even thinking of betraying his commitment to hide his true form. He continues scanning the crowd, returning to his watch over the areas around the other protectors.
(forgot to add Perception roll; jsyk I'm new to D&D Beyond's format so still figuring things out. Bear with me)
Valig crouches, scanning the perimeter. He is a lean lizardfolk, with a bright reddish orange crest(I think you would call whatever lizardfolk have a crest?) and red scars running down his arms, almost in a fire-like pattern. He is completely still, save the rhythmic movement of his head and the occasional flick of his tongue. He wears a red cloak, a leather belt and vest, and not much past that.
Valig did not quite understand what the big deal was. The two soft ones had gone through some ritual, and a priest had come and said some words. Then the two had pressed their faces against one another's and everyone had cheered. Everything was decked out in bright colors and shiny metals. They hurt Valig's eyes. Everyone's attire puzzled Valig as well, as it was all far too constricting to be any good in a fight. Even the food was strange. It was all little arrangements and strange exotic foods, all of which provided little to no sustenance. And what is the point of food other than to provide sustenance? Nevertheless, Valig was getting payed for this job. Currency puzzled Valig as well, but he understood enough. You get currency. You use it to get food. You eat the food. Valig did not quite understand why he wasn't just getting payed in food. He supposed that coins lasted longer.
Anyway, this was his job, and he would do it, regardless of how odd the soft ones were. He heads out and scouts the perimeter of the celebration, staying in the shadows.

"Ignorance is bliss, and you look absolutely miserable."
Boon stands at the very back of the ceremony, donning a large black, hooded cloak. Beneath the cloak were bandages covering most of Boon's body, with baggy cotton pants and worn-down leather armor. The guards had offered him a seat when he arrived, but Boon held a distrust to new faces - especially guards.
The reason he even bothered to show up? Free food after the ceremony. Boon hadn't had a good meal in weeks, only surviving off of what he could quickly grab from stalls in the market.
His bright blue eyes scanned the crowd for people whom would be easy to pickpocket, as well as a getaway route if things turned south.
Boon concentrates only on the food, his hunger overtaking his senses.
Nevitash scans the area, all the children are still having fun. It looks like Lord Jorpo is preparing to make a speech to his guests who were so kind to show up. His face shows a kind of happiness from the surprise of so many people.
The rest of you all see the same, except you also see Haera sitting on her little throne that was set up for her. A figure comes out from behind her throne wearing a brown dress with pink, blue, and yellow flowers wrapping around the bottom, and a nice black sash around the waist. The figure has a large red tail, super scaly like her face. Yellow spines starting from the bridge of the nose and going all the way to the lower back poking out of the dress. It was a lizardfolk, she was holding a platter with a single goblet of what you think would be wine. As you look from a distance you can tell the lizardfolk is talking to Haera. Haera nods taking the goblet and pouring small doses of the wine down her throat very elegantly. You can read her lips as she forms a "thank you" .
Jorpo raises both of his hands with a goblet in his hand and begins to speak, "I thank you all for coming! My wife and I are so pleased so many of you have come to celebrate our union. I will tell you I have never been so happy, if you want to know the secret to happiness it's love my friends." He raises his goblet even higher, "Cheers my friends!" He takes a sip of his wine.
All seemed calm, everyone was happy, children still laughing and playing, when all of a sudden Haera gives a grave face and begins furiously scratching at her throat. Foam forms at the edge of her mouth then falls forward onto the ground.
Nevitash rushes forward and drops down beside Haera. Looking at Jorpo, she sends the halfling a telepathic message: "Your majesty! Your wife!" The druid then checks the woman to see if there's anything she can do.
Noldeme's eyes widen, as she steps up from the chair she was sitting on, but her focus is instead on what she considered her actual job there, as a guard, not as a medic. But no fret, a friend has already approached to help, so the next thing is find the responsible for it.
Already having a lead, she starts looking around, trying to see if she can find the lizardfolk who was giving Haera her wine around the perimeter, or remembering where they went.
Boon makes a "not so stealthy" pass at the food, devouring what he can. He starts at the shrimp and makes his way to the pork.
Then, out of the corner of his eye, Boon spots the wedding cake. He quickly looks around to see if any of the guards are looking in his direction before trying to sneakily take a slice. He pulls out a dagger and and begins in the sweet, mouth-watering direction.
Trying to process what happened and seeing the others spring into action, Percy quickly determines the Lord still may require protection. Percy leaps from his position to guard the Lord against anyone else who might take this opportunity to kill both leaders in the chaos. He attempts to pull the Lord towards the castle and away from any open lines of sight from nearby buildings, whispering to him "It is not safe here, we need to find shelter!" Percy also attempts to locate the nearest group of castle guards to leave the Lord in the care of.
Persuasion: 14 (to convince the Lord to come with me)
Noldeme looks around, but there seems to be a lot of movement after the Lady fell, she hardly could see the closest walls, who would've say anything about finding a lizardfolk, wait, she found it.
She approaches Valig, looking angry, and he notices, but she suddendly halts, as she takes note of something that is off, wasn't that lizardfolk wearing a dress? A dress...? Who here was wearing a dress? She looks around, looking for dresses... Well, now it got quite difficult, almost all of the ladies were wearing dresses...
She walks to a chair confused, where did the Lady's poisoner flee to? She notices she sit close to the wedding cake... "I think I might just be too hungry to think straight..." She takes a bite out of it to clear her mind a bit, with no idea one of the other stablished guards was on the other side of it.

With a slight smile on his face, finally the boredom would end, Void looks arround trying to find the lizardfolk who gave the glass to Harea, while using his invisible mage hand to grab a piece of food for the road.
Boon swipes food left and right no one noticing at all. Especially when everyone else is focused on the lady falling forward. Yet for Boon the food is very delicious! Cake, spices, venison, all the kinds of foods are at Boon's disposal. Void extends a magical hand and grasps a nice large piece of pork.
Nevitash looks at Haera, the foam is a dark purple with streams sliding from the corners of her lips to her throat. It's lotus poison, she is paralyzed and dying fast. She needs medical attention. Jorpo turns to Haera and rushes to her picking her up, he screams "Guards get some help! Haera has been poisoned!" Lots of guards rush up to assist. Percy and Valig actually saw the tail of the lizardfolk enter inside the castle for a split second. Jorpo looks up to Percy in response to his suggestion, rises up, picks up Haera in a rush and follows Percy who helps take him to a nearby group of guards. They surround him and Haera and begin to escort him outside the gate to the town, he yells "Catch that murderer! I will greatly reward you! Once you are done find me at the inn The Roaring Satyr! I'm going to get my wife some medical attention!"
Nevitash rushes out after Valig, sending Jorpo a final telepathic message: It's lotus poison, your grace. May the Great Light watch over you both. And then, looking over her shoulder and seeing Noldeme sitting by the wedding cake, the kalashtar druid sends her a message: Inside the castle. Come!
Hearing this, and having had his fill of food, Boon takes notice of the chaos behind him. He swallows the last large bite.
"Oh boy. The fun begins." Boon mumbles under his breath. He cracks his knuckles and starts to mingle with the crowd. When in a panic, people tend to not notice when their pockets get lighter.
As he begins to try and pickpocket the members of crowd, Boon looks around to see what the started the commotion. If a reward is on the table, he might as well try to get a bit of that as well.

Satisfied with the relative safety of the royals, Percy nods to the Jorpo, saying "It shall be done, my Lord." He then turns to the castle and darts off towards a different entrance than the one Valig and Nevitash took, hoping to cut off the Lizardfolk assassin by taking another route. Percy listens for any movements as he runs through the halls, and he alerts the guards he passes by with a quick description of the assassin as he runs by them.
