Adventurers Wanted! The Rough Riders are seeking those of able body and mind to join our ranks. Want to bring those lawless outlaws to justice? Or protect our lands from invaders or monsters? Or does a life of adventure and excitement call to you? Than come by our headquarters and sign up. We are located just on the outskirts of Risingsun.
Campaign Description:
Open-ended homebrew wild west fantasy campaign
Low magic campaign
Magic and classes with magic are effected more for flavor than mechanics
Variant/homebrew rules for potions, healing, poisons and death
Actions have consequences
Dynamic and living world
Everything is not within your ability to take on
Starting location: Risingsun is a small mining town that is nestled along the banks of the Black River and the base of the Chard Mountains. It has a population of about 3,000 and is ruled by the Dragonborn clan named Redmark. The inhabitants of Risingsun are pretty equal between Dragonborn, Humans and Dwarves, with a small population of Halflings. Risingsun has decent local guard force, named The Guards of Red, or as the locals refer to them as The GoR, and their size is enough to deal with the day-to-day and local issues. The town relies on its ability to mine and trade the copper ore that is located in the nearby Chard Mountains.
Interested: I'm look for 4 – 5 players that, for the most part, are willing to work together and be cooperative. I will be looking for players that can communicate clearly; so I will be checking past posts, if you have any. I would also like players that do not lose interest and just vanish from a game, (I know it is tempting on the internet to ghost people). I'm not going to impose a strict time frame for posting, but I will also not wait forever for everyone to post, (I think waiting a week sounds fair). If you are interested in participating let me know below, but just that you are interested. Character creation will be addressed after the selection process is finished, (about one week from this posting). Feel free post here or private message me if you have questions or concerns; I'll be happy to answer what I can.

Be excellent to each other, and roll for initiative dudes!
So if its a Wild West setting, that means the use of Firearms will be allowed?
I will say that, for now, I won't be implementing the use of firearms only because I have not had the chance to research into the game mechanics for them. However, that is not to say that I will rule them out completely.

I presume that there are only four races since you only written four. How about faith? Do you have a list we can choose or can we make up/use existing pantheons?

Believer of the almighty one, the Alpha and the Omega, whose love encompasses all of his creations, RNGesus.
Started as a player at time of registration. Started to DM a month later. Hoping to get better as time progresses.
Races: There are more races that exist. The four that were listed are just the races that have a more prominent population in the town and local area.
Faith/Pantheon: As for the faith/pantheon I do have a list of the twelve most worshiped deities, and I would not be opposed to someone who wanted to use other existing deities. Also, I'm not going to outright say no to the creation of their own deity, but instead talk with them about their idea and see if we can come to some kind of agreement; and that would be with anything that a player wants to create.

Hey, DM, I don't know if you read the message I sent you, but you can ignore it now, one of my games just ended prematurely, so my schedule managed to get arranged really well for me to start this.
I can post even once per day and I really like the type of commitment you ask : I saw many times people dropping the games and really gets frustrating.
I was thinking about about a HUMAN, THIEF, CG: a horses thief or the like
This thread is already closed, if I understood the DM's Intention correctly, he already created a campaign, and set everyone in it. Maybe he might be accepting back-ups in case someone drops, but that's the state of this game at the moment.
I am officially closing this thread. I want to thank all of you who showed interest in this campaign, and I will keep those that I didn't not pick in mind in case I have a player drop; or want to start up a second campaign in the same setting. Good luck to you all, and may the dice roll ever in your favor.

**As a question, how strictly are you thinking for the low-magic? Are casters out entirely, and if so what do you think of EK and AT?**
Officially Joined the Expanded Signature Club
Will be on Hiatus: Currently Clear
Casters are not entirely out of the world, but on a general scale they are rare.

I'd like to toss my hat into the ring. Sounds like a very different setting to RP.
