"Ughhh.. There's too much town and not enough us. How are we supposed to keep everyone safe with just the few of us? But I don't even know who we can trust, right? What if we ask people to help and their just BSers disguised as old ladies or something..." Mo says shaking his head.
"So the Bloodscales sent the crates," Sayre asks with a cocked eyebrow. "Then why didn't you open them up? We're the law here now. I'm pretty sure we've got the right to search anyone or thing that's suspicious," she adds.

"The stones are the cargo? You said crates and stones not crate of stones," Sayre clarifies her confusion. "These stones could be similar to the ones that bastard left around the inn," she wonders aloud. "Can I see one," she asks next.

Can't believe that sort of throwaway backstory comment got put in. But bravo being sly on it. Now Navek is gonna be extra paranoid.
Any plan Navek had on using Identify on the stone were forgotten the moment as soon as he got a look at the log. He passed it off unthinkingly, and fell back into his seat with this distant stare into nothing.
"She's here...." He says after awhile. Navek then shakes his head, ridding himself of most of the stupor. "Why didn't I ask him?" He drags a hand over his face, and holds out his hand next for the stone once Sayre(probably Lorarila too) got a look over it. "Okay.. so... This got a lot more complicated than I thought. I got the word out to some old buddies of mines, but it'll still be a few days before they arrive... if they choose to. Meantime, we do..."Navek catches himself, and with a sigh he falls back into his seat. "So what's the plan then? Aside from getting what locals we can organized over the next few days, do you all want to stake out the building? Scout upriver? Or do we split up and do both for the day till we get reinforcements properly settled? You and Mr. Thimbol on scout'n duty and Ms. Lora and Mr. Mo for the most part?" He asks.
"Come tomorrow, I can ask around town again to see if we can at least get two or three folk into the guard rotation. Whip them in shape too. But I'm no good as a scout."
Sayre notices that it appears to be a dark crimson crystal that is warm to the touch. She has never seen anything like it before and while she doesn't know what it does for sure... she can tell that it probably has some kind of magic properties and that the smaller items thrown around the inn are probably some how related to this thing in some way but she has no idea if these work the same way or are merely made of the same material.
(So I know you have Naveks letters and Sayre's family trying to get recruits as well as the fliers around town, but did you all want to as a group try to plan some kind of recruitment event or something so you can all work together to try to get some people at once? I don't care what ya do.. My thought was that that way there might not have to be the constant need to feel like you have to be looking for more people to join. I know sayre set off to try to recruit and she got one person before canning them but if more people had gone with her you probably would have got more / better people :D Just saying.. You will get some people from the letters and from Sayre's family but it may not be a whole lot and It wont be for a few days at least)
OOC: Might have rolled poorly but you choose a hobo who 💩 on the mayor's lawn. Sorry my PC thought maybe that's not the brand of hero she wants working for her.
Sayre examines the stone. "Navek did you try identifying it," she asks curiously.

To Amazing: Understandable given her nature. But for Navek, he's perfect! A literal diamond in the rough, or broken weapon just waiting to be reforged anew! A proper challenge for a true goliath battlemaster.
To Wreck: And that's what I figured, thus the questions about plans going forward. At the very least come the next day he is gonna inform Payne to MAYBE two trusted mercs and/or soldiers from the before time.
"No. I waited till we were home for such an 'involved' process. Plus, I figured either you or Ms. Lorarila would've preferred taking a crack at it as well." He says before again extending his hand for the stone. Once he had it hand he'll go through the ritual. But right before than he says, "If you all do decide to scout out for any camps along the river side, I'll wish you luck. But at least for the tomorrow I want to get at least a few too many things out of the way before leaving town. On you're gonna want to head out early to cover the most ground."Navek gets to Identify-ing things.

Navek gestures to Mo with a thumb. "Mr. Mo has a point. It'll take a good while to rope together at least two or three others more I'd like to have left behind before galavanting off. 'sides. This is supposed to be an actual scouting mission. As in 'no' fighting and moving quietly."He then folds his arms across his chest, noisily shuffle his chain mail in the process.. "But yes, I remember alright. I also seem to remember four pups running off on their own, and doing... well enough for themselves, all things considered. And blatantly ignoring most of what I had to say on the matter."He sighs. "So at this point, I've resigned myself to... trusting your judgement. Mostly. Just... try not to burn everything down this time? And... if you see a female green dragonborn with a bit of a limp, and a few fingers missing from her left hand... get out of there. Those two from before were one thing. But if its Cirrhad? That's a whole another kettle of fish that even together I wouldn't wanna tangle with. "
Navek rubs his chin and mutters. "Unless this is another them schemes of hers..."

Navek squints at Sayre, then facepalms. "Right. I think only Thimbol really heard that tale." He points over to the form. "I while back I made mention of looking into an old friend by the name of Mifyire Cirrhad; A female green dragonborn that could be as aggressive as she was cunning."Navek gave a pained smile as he scratched at a small white scar nearly invisible against the grey of his throat. "Wouldn't call her nice person. But, she was fair.... in her own ways. Made her respected among the old guard; especially considering..."
Navek gets this melancholy look on his expression before shaking his head. "Anyways. Part of the reason I came this way here -- though not the main one -- was to look into rumors of her having gotten mixed back up in the old ways of Banditry through the Blood Scales."He points to the note. "It isn't much. But, her surname on it makes things worrying."

Only quickly does Thimbol speak up, "Remember what happened last time you didn't come with."
"We scout as a group I agree. We do ALL things as a group " Sayre says backing up Thimbol.

"I have NO idea who you're talking about. Scouting is a mission for Thimbol and I then is that what you're all saying," Sayre asks.
