Lorarila, "Well this is quite a mess. If your friend is part of the Bloodscales, I hope you can convince her to leave. If not, then thing will be difficult. If there is anything I can do to help, I will try. We should confiscate any suspicious crates and store them in the basement to be safe, we can go through it all and maybe get a clue about what is going on and why we are being targeted so much."
"Is there anything you could tells us about the BSers that maybe you forgot to mention before," Sayre asks with a curiously raised eyebrow. "This little band of ours keeps getting more and more interesting," she adds with a sigh looking to Mo.

Navek raises his hands in placating gesture. "Whoa, whoa, whoa. Let's back it up. Honestly, till a few days ago I knew even less about the Blood Scales than the rest of you."He admits with a tired frown. "Just what amounted to gossip 'bout her resigning and headed this way. Then, when word reached about this place and the trouble's that's been plaguing it, I.. may have jumped the gun a little thinking she might've had a hand it. The only thing is -- is that I can't understand why the change."
He then looks over to Lora. "It ya think'n bout hold'n back in her case just for my case -- and that's assuming she really is mixed up in this mess -- then don't. Cause she ain't likely to the do the same unless its to toy with you. Assuming she can afford to. And if she can't, well... better you give it your all from the get go before she gets her hand on you."He leans back, rubbing his forehead. "Anyways. You three talk among yourself. I need to focus for this to work."With that, Navek takes the stone with him over to a seat by the fireplace with Winston following behind, and continues the Identify ritual from there.

I'm not exactly sure how that inference came about, but Navek doesn't know either which way. He is however assuming she is mixed up with them based on the note about a 'Cirrhad' having received the shipment of what may be explosives. And presumeably, made the handle with care note below it detailing intent to have them shipped elsewhere.
That is in addition to what he has said icly. It was not meant to imply her (or him for that matter) having worked for the Blood Scales before (Assuming that is where the confusion came from). Only that they have been bandits before at some point in the distant past. And that only relatively RECENTLY she may have gotten involved with them.
Thimbol rubbed at his chin, "Not much of a team. It has still been less than a week, I guess..." The halfling humming silently to himself as he considered taking up the pipe. "If we're not going to work together as a whole, we're not really working together at all. If we need a leader to make all the decisions for us and we begrudgingly accept it, I'm fine with that, but I'm not fine with all these differing opinions believing their way is the right way and not listening to them makes you wrong."
A look given specifically to Navek, "Being the oldest, doesn't make you the wisest." Thimbol tracing a hand on his own face, similar to where the Goliath had fresh scars. "But if you want to be the leader, that's a different story. You speak, we do. If you don't want to be in charge, then your constant demands followed by scolding along with your refusal to help with your own plans is getting old."
Navek scowls at Thimbol. "What part about what I said had anything to do with wanting to be the leader?" He states flatly. "I won't lie and say I wasn't upset about what happened. But I'm past that. And I'm not demanding anything aside from needing to stay behind this time. I only suggested you two because of want I've seen thus far. My going will only be hindrance for the job in mind. Heck, Mo and Lora going as well is already pushing things a little."He glances over to Mo. "No offense." He looks back to thimbol. "If your not confident that you can't handle the job with just Sayre, or has some other plan in mind then just say so. But don't bring up minotaur shite just for the sake of stirring the pot."He folds his arms across his chest at this point.
"Or are you saying I'm just supposed to go along with whatever the rest say, and not offer any input at all? Because that's what its starting to sound like."

Thimbol shook his head slowly, "I'm simply saying if we're in this together, then we do it together. Every step of the way." Watching Sayre run off to bed, "Another day gone... Another missed opportunity."
Navek gives a tired sigh. "... Hephaestus preserve me."He says rubbing his face. "We're not a Hydras, Mr. Thimbol. Or some ragtag band of adventurers trekking across all over faerun. By the nine, I don't know what to really call us at this point considering all that's happened. But if you insist we literally go everywhere together no matter what, then fine. I'll go with you all as insurance or something. Or again, if you had something else in mind, then just say it."He says, hardly noticing Sayre was on her way out in his frustration. Though after speaking his piece, he does, and with another tired sigh says more. "But I guess we can table this for the morning. Goodnight, Mr. Thimbol."He says as he again finds his seat by the fire to complete the ritual. Once he had his answers, he finds some place mostly fireproof to secret it away, then goes to bed in his chair following a smoke from his pipe of smoke monsters.

(There was way to much talking before for him to have been able to concentrate on that spell lol)
As Navek works to identify the gem, moving it around in his hands... a divine voice that he has heard describe other items of power in the past whispers to him the name "Blood Stone"
Navek learns that the stones are very rare and while on their own they cannot do much, they can be used as ingredients for very powerful magic spells, potions, and even used in the making of power sources for golems and constructs.
(anyone that wants to roll to see if they notice Thimbol leave can if they want)
So as Thimbol walks around the town, the moon light and lamp posts bathe the streets in silver and yellow light. It is very quiet and other than the rustling of leaves and the breeze, you dont hear much at first. Eventually, as you round a corner and see the familiar glow and sign of the Broke Oak tavern and inn, you hear the sound of arguing between a couple outside the inn. You are not close enough to hear what they are saying

Sometimes a Nat 1 tells a better story than a Nat 20 ever could.
So is everyone going to bed? Pretending to go to bed? cuddle pile?
(Navek is waiting really hard for you to tell him if that stone can be identified 🤣)
When darkness falls, and the others sleep, Thimbol leaves to patrol the village... maybe a wolf comes 🤷🏿♂️
Stealth: 10
Perception: 17
(I'm not expecting anything. Just wandering around)
