As a few minutes go by after the fight ends, a wave of lethargy hits both Lot and Dredge, who will need a moment to get back to their feet. The enemy's web also dissolves (hard to keep concentration when you are dead...). Karwin's Detect Magic is still on effect for another few minutes, and Lot's Mage Armor has barely started.
"Well donne" only to see 2 of his party members sudenly collapsing. He walk to in between them and poke them both in the face "you guys oke?". I look toward Karwin "can you look over them until they recovered, i got someunfinished business?".
Nox grab his rapier and carve the eye out of the yellow creature for souvenir. After that he goes back to the big room recovering his fired arrow. 3 arrows fired * 50% = 1 arrow recovered.
Moving back to the party and show his hand holding the "Yochlol eye" to Dredge and Lot and ask "as you guys did the heavy lifting in this fight does anybody want it as a trophy?" (OOC: i am going monster hunter on this one and start collecting random crap and filling people inventory with it :P, i ques those things goes into other possesion?)
Nox going stealtly explore if there anything intresting in the unexplored South-east of the map. Stealth 24.
Dredge scoffs as Nox offers him the eye. “The creature was hardly worth claiming a trophy. If you wish to take it, Lot, you may.” Having recovered from the haste, he follows Nox at a 20 foot distance, ready to come to his assistance if needed. As he goes, he looks for any tracks or trails that would indicate the passing of large creatures worthy of the Trials.
Your companions are only temporarily fatigued, but based on what you saw you deduce that they feel like such due to being hasted for the last minute. No further attention is needed. They should recover naturally shortly.
Once they do, the party moves southeast, with Nox up front, Dredge behind him, Lot following, and Karwin bringing the rear. The group moves quietly, and after the third bend, you can hear the faint swirl of yet another liquid wall. It calls one of you to approach, although no words are heard either in the air or inside your head. It is more of a overall feeling. You all feel enticed to approach it, but instinctively know only one should do so at a time.
Nox get a feeling of *déjà vu*. He turn around and say to Dredge "i have seen before and it asked me put my hand trough liquid vortex, then i got this quiver that has well made elven arrows (Ammunition, +1))" He show 1 of the elven arrows to dredge. "I can't garantee that this one the same. However if you afraid you can ask the person behind you if they want to try reach there hand out for possible loot" (knowing the genesasis pridefull the elf trying to taunt him into reaching in liquid wall)
The elf walk to the right making room for whoever will go to the liquid wall. Although he doubt all 3 of them would refuse the offer if it does happend he will reach for it again. If nothing dangerous happends ill move forward again to the unexplored land.
(OOC: I think it best to state if you wanna reach for the liquid wall or not, as for who get it will be on our formation Dredge->Lot->Karwin. UNLESS either Lot or/and Karwin want contest who get for the wall :) . I wasn't discreet when talking to Dredge and showed i got loot on my try.)
Karwin keeps her hand on her blade and her shield readied. "This is not your standard place. There is a rule that some of our group uses." She removes her hand from her blade and takes a piece of chalk from a pouch. "Mark the left wall with an arrow leading you back the way you came." She then sketches such a rune on the wall.
As the group gets towards the water wall, she'll gaze upon it with her Detect Magic before anyone touches it. If Dredge is still going headstrong towards it, she says, "Halt, let us see if there is any threatening spells around it first."
Karwin feels a convoluted mess of magical effects coming from the mystic hole. There’s a bit of transmutation, some illusion, a pinch of divination in there as well. The samurai also ponders on the possibility of a link to a different plane, but no obvious malicious magical effect can be singled out.
The wall then displays its next question, and Dredge instinctively knows it is addressing him.
Dredge steps forwards again, merely a foot from touching the wall. In a deep, serious voice he responds, “I have learned that I must be faster, stronger, and wiser if I am to protect these people and conquere the trials as I have been called to do.”
The enigmatic wall patch starts swirling rapidly and inviting your hands in (I'll assume you reach in, for the sake of brevity here).
As Dredge reaches in, just as soon as his whole hand is found inside, he feels a compact object be placed on his palm. He pulls it to reveal a large yellow diamond that lets loose sand grains fall from its edges whenever moved about. The gem is clearly enchanted somehow. Details on its properties are left out of the gift wrapping however...
Dredge pulls out his hand, looking at the gem that has been placed there. ”Well. Would you look at that.” He shifts it around, watching the sand fall. He feels as if he has a strong connection to it becasue of his heritage, but he cant be sure.
(OOC: Could I make an Arcana Check with advantage because I’m an Earth Genasi? Would my elemental heritage apply here? (I’m fairly sure I know what this anyways but...)
(OOC @Hydra: Yes, I’d say that Dredge you have an idea of what that is, and your roll was high enough).
Karwin feels strong conjuration magic coming from the gem.
Upon examining it more closely, Dredge is fairly sure that this is an Elemental Gem, Yellow Diamond. A fairly dangerous item that can be quite useful in the right situations.
The magic fueling the wall ceases and only regular stonework now faces the druid and his companions. Another source of the faint swirl sound that is at this point becoming more familiar to the party can be heard just around the corner.
“This gem... it summons one of my ancestors, I believe. It should ownly be used in dire situations. I’d prefer to hang on to it, eh?” He tucks the gem into his backpack, careful to make sure that it could not be cracked or destroyed by a hard impact. He then turns to the rest of the group. “I think I hear another of these walls. Shall we move on?”
As Nox dashes forward, he realizes that this current pathway does not go much deeper, but seems to be bountiful. Two more magic swirly walls present themselves, yearning to interact with whomever steps forward.
