Karwin: Once Nox points out one more of the magical patches of wall to you, you can feel it calling you closer wishing to interact with you. You get the same mix of transmutation, illusion, and divination magic emanating from it as you approach. Once you are close enough, you can see the some words forming on the slow turning surface of the liquid wall (we'll say you have another 6 minutes on that Detect Magic):
WHAT HAVE YOU LEARNED, SWORDSWOMAN?
Lot: You similarly approach the fourth such patch of mysterious wall. You too are greeted with a question:
WHAT HAVE YOU LEARNED, SPELLSLINGER?
Nox & Dredge: Exploring the western path leads you through a similar stone hallway, until the point you are faced with a fork on the road. You can choose to either go north or south.
Karwin looks at the shimmering veil of mystical abiliities. "I have learnt much, one of these things is to not speak all I know." She sheathes her sword. "I have learnt that there are times when the blade is needed, and times when it is not. I have learnt that there is much I need to learn, and much I need to fight for, especially in this place wherein I am with three others who may need my guard."
Karwin reaches in and grabs a large metallic item. Using her spare hand to help bring the object out of the void, the samurai reveals a shield emblazoned with a symbol of an eye. Touching it is enough to feel some sort of imbued enchantment.
Lot continues to stare at the swirling wall in front of him, deciding whether or not to reach in.
Nox & Dredge advance north, noticing that this path is longer than the one leading south. Otherwise, the stone walls and ceiling look exactly the same.
What feels like a little pellet is gingerly placed on Lot’s palm once he can no longer see his hand. Pulling it out reveals it to be a perfectly spherical pearl, the size of a small eyeball. It shimmers in its magical essence.
Karwin’s Detect Magic picks up an aura of transmutation from the jewel, and an wisp of divination from the shield.
Wondering what secrets their rewards might guard, Lot and Karwin meet up again and start heading in the direction that Nox and Dredge mentioned they were going. They eventually come across a split path (at H33) where they can either choose to go north or south. At this point, there is no clear indication of which of these two paths your impetuous companions took. (They are outside the range of your Detect Magic too, so no way of pinpointing their location through that at the moment).
Nox and Dredge, without realizing the other two party members are now trying to follow them and forgetting to mark the wall as suggested by Karwin, now delve deeper into the norther path (arriving at the northwestern corner of the map). When Nox makes the last turn, he finds a series of concentric circles permanently carved into the ground (at -M37). The circles are intricately adorned by numerous luminous arcane markings, runes, and drawings. No mystic telepathic bond is being formed, as was the case with the strange walls.
Karwin will stow her nonmagical shield onto her pack, choosing to wield the recently given shield. While travelling, she will once again take the chalk and mark the way they came. As they get to the intersection, she will look to Lot. "I would think they went to the left, what about you?"
Nox tries to figur what the purpose of the arcane circles are 1
The elf was afraid it was waste effort as he trying to be someby figuring out something but is in reality clueles. He goes back finding the mage in the party. He then notice dreddge was behind him the whole time "oh hi, i found some weird circle an drawing but arcane stuff is not my forte."
(if they go south ill follow them if they go north ill tell them about what i found but i continue south)
Dredge and Nox head back south, without giving the Arcane circles much of a thought. As they move past a third corner, they can see Karwin and Lot down the hall, starting to make their way south. They quicken their pace to catch up to the samurai and sorcerer and the group explores the south passage.
The southern portion is shaped much like the northern one, except that at the end of the tunnel, the group finds another patch of liquid wall instead of a set of concentric circles. The wall swirls and calls for a volunteer.
Dredge pushes Nox forward. “It’s your turn next, mate.” Then, remembering the last wall he encountered, he adds, ”Unless you’re scared.” He then moves towards Lot, pulling him aside. “We found some odd magic looking circles up to the north if you want to check it out. Neither me nor Nox know much about the arcane.”
Before Nox even could make a turning motion he suddenly feel metal hand pushing him forward. Upon hearing what Dredge said he respond "yeah sure, mate" while rolling his eye with his face toward the liquid wall. The elf proceed walking until he infront of the wall.
