You follow the sewer for another about 5 minutes, the reeking water and sewage now about halfway up to your knees, about a foot deep. Finally the torchlight reaches a central hub about 20 feet in front of you. You approach the hub coming from the East, heading West.
The main sewer tunnel expands into a circular hub with a pair of arrow slits carved into its outer walls, directly across from each other. Two passages continue on to the north and south. A stone door is set into the back wall of a stone ledge to the west.
Go ahead and make any stealth and perception checks you would like to make going forward, and discuss which way you wan to go. This hub makes a sort of cross, you approached from the East, and there is a passageway north and south. There is a stone door to the west.
Where was the next sign? An oddity. "" She points out the door. A door when there wasn't one on the other passages. Chalk spends a moment to check over the room. Maybe she was jumping to conclusions but it couldn't hurt to be a little careful.

Whit tries to hang back and stay out of sight from... whatever might be lurking down here. He tries to see if anything stands out as well that might give any indication as where to go next.
Odrith falls into his old honed, well trained habits as he falls into a guard position, keeping his eyes down the unknown tunnels. As he does, Kaivius leaves down the left tunnel with the torch, leaving him in darkness - he won't be seeing much.
Whit slips into the shadows and follows Kaivius, both of them noticing something down the left tunnel along the inside wall. The see a door shaped indent in the inside wall, an apparently well hid secret door. It is directly across the hallway from the door they saw earlier.
Chalk thinks to herself about all of the noise they are making, and it's starting to make her nervous. Odrith's chain mail clanks loudly in the dark, and the dogtaur's heavy footsteps splash loudly in the deep sewage. She sees movement through the arrow slit, but before she can think further an arrow thuds into her, knocking her back into sudden darkness. Her small body body is propped against the wall, and she is bleeding out! (20 to hit, 8 damage)
Odrith turns as he hears the fall of her body, and another arrow whistles through the other slit in the wall, hitting him hard in the chest. It thuds into his mail hard, causing him to lose his breath. (21 to hit, 5 damage) He hears voices shouting from the holes in Goblin, apparently communicating with each other. He can see through the shadowy holes they knock another arrow.
Odrith will Charge over to Chalk, pick her up, and finish his move towards the other two in the party, and more importantly the medicine master Kaivius! 99% sure there won't be action economy left after, but Odrith will take the dodge action in front of his party to block any other missiles coming their way.
Athletics to maybe not slow down too much while moving Chalk? 11
Now that I know I am last, Odrith is just going to use his body to give cover and take the dodge action or what ever with his shield. When it comes around to his turn he will shout something, but I want to see how the other turns go before I decide what to shout.
Something didn't feel quite right. It was almost as if there was an itch in her feathers. Chalk wasn't sure why but it was leaving her uneasy. These tunnels had been fairly empty. Shouldn't there be a hard of some sort? And then the arrow had hit, leaving her crumpled on ground. "Kill the stirges," she manages to mumble as her consciousness flutters.

There's a muffled thunk from behind Kaivius. As she turns around, she sees Chalk kebobbed on an arrow, bleeding like it's the next cool thing those kids like to do.
"****" Kaivius yells. She rushes to Chalk and casts Spare the Dying.
Kaivius blocks Chalk's body from the hidden enemies as she bends over her frail form. She chants softly and makes complicated finger movements across Chalk's body, and slowly removes the arrow as the wound cauterizes itself, stopping the bleading. Chalk lets out a small sigh of content.
Whit spins and fires at an arrow slit, but his bolt clangs off the stone, falling harmlessly to the ground.
The two enemies notice the large dragonborn standing in the hallway, covering his companions. Both fire at the large form, but the arrows stick into his shield one - after the other with a dull Thud-Thud.
Chalk moves restlessly in her sleep, most of her body is submerged under the sewage, only held up above the murky water by Kaivius's paws.
White curses to himself, and unloads another bolt, before dashing across the sewage to take cover from the other arrow slit. "Odrith! Do what you do best. Protect them."

Kaivius snarls in rage at the archers. Poor little Chalk probably didn't have enough blood left for a mosquito to drink. Her little bird membranes were pale (one might say even chalk-y).

As Kaivius points, a loud bell clangs through the sewers. The creature in the shadows screams in anguished pain, calling out more curses in goblin.
Whit's bolt clangs off of the stone again, missing the small slit by several inches. The shadowy creature, shaking off the pain, fires at the large dogtaur that caused him so much pain. The arrow flies out of the small slit and hits Kaivius in the leg (17 to hit for 7 damage).
The other creature across the hallway fires at Odrith again, another arrow thudding into his shield, protecting his companions yet again.
The creature screams out in anger at the large shielded dragonborn, he can see a small fist raised in the shadows as it shouts in goblin.

A roar ruptures through Odriths throat as his party is pelted with arrows. He won't be able to protect them from all sides, so he just has to go to the last resort, eliminate the threat.
Charging forward Odrith tosses down his flail and pulls out a javelin, spearing it through the arrow slit and toward what ever creature is on the other side.
To Hit: 18 Damage: 7
The reason elimination is the last resort is because Odrith knows this is where is dragon heritage fury lies, the seething, burning anger that comes from getting the kill, from the domination of another life, of killing. after stabbing through the hole Odrith bellows in his rage: "YOU LITTLE BASTARDS, I WILL RIP EVERY LAST ONE OF YOU APART! I WILL BURN YOU ALIVE! I WILL TIE YOU DOWN AND SLOWLY SLICE YOU INTO PIECES JUST ENOUGH SO YOU STAY ALIVE AN CONSCIOUS THROUGH IT ALL! I AM YOUR DESTROYER AND YOU WILL GROVEL BEFORE ME AND SUFFER!"
Odrith lowers his shield and rushes forward, shoving his Javelin through the small arrow slit, shoving it all the way through the creature's armor, through it's chest, and out its back. As he pulls the javelin out the creature falls forward against the opening, and he can see it's a small goblin. Across the way, the other goblin sees his dead companion and hears Odrith's shout of anger. His bow and arrows make an audible clamor as he drops them to the ground, and light running footsteps can be heard on the other side of the wall as he runs out of sight. The companions wait in silence for a couple of seconds, listening for more enemies, but none are heard. It seems the danger has passed for the moment.
Odrith lets out another bellow of anger before he is able to collect himself and calm down.
"Kaivius, keep Chalk alive." Odrith states as he wipes the blood off his javelin onto the corpse. "I am going to find this blazing Floon character without anyone else getting hurt. Whit, show me where to go and I will handle it." Odrith picks up his flail again, seeming more determined than he has been for a while.
"Well we found the door over here. I'm not sure you should go alone but if you think thats best maybe it is. Good luck, we will protect our feathery friend." Whit says with a sigh a relief.
"Odrith don't be an idiot. Neither Chalk nor I are in a good place if something decides to come back with reinforcements. Either we go together or we wait until I can get Chalk back on her feet"
You suddenly hear footsteps coming up the tunnel where you entered. You see torchlight getting closer, and as you are about to hide you see the familiar face of Renaer Neverember, a slight fear in his eye, but his jaw set. He sees your light and rushes up to you. "Thank goodness I found you! I couldn't stand staying there alone, and I feel responsible for what happened to Floon. I was hoping you would ask me to accompany you, but you never did. I was about to head home when I decided I could make a difference down here." "I found this in the warehouse up above," he said, holding up a slightly rusted dagger, "It's not much, but it'll be enough. I'm at least somewhat trained with weapons. Growing up a lord's son does have its benefits, it seems."
He looks down at Chalk on the ground "Oh my gods! She's injured! Here, I have something!" He scrounges around in his pockets and pulls out a jar that Kaivius and Odrith recognize as Restorative Ointment. "May I give some of this to your friend?"
