Insight Check: The priest was acting rather odd, most priests don't shout and behave so erratically, he seems off. It also appears that the priest used magical means to compel the guard to escort you out. The magic used simliar to a Suggestion spell....
History & Religion Checks: As you reflect on the recent events, you know from your religious studies that many people come to Sorav during the Blood Moons Festival, as this is one of the few places where Morrow is actually respected widely within the ice built walls. The town has seen some hardships, but that's all you remember
Soon Valen arrives at the Lunar Queen, it's roughly about 11 o'clock, the twin moons hanging above. As Valen enters, he sees a number of individuals making a toast to set off to some ruins... At least that's all you've heard.
As you begin making your toast, some of you see a man enter, he at first glance appears human, and is a Holy Man.
Valen raises a toast with the crowd, then plants himself at a nearby table to see if he can pick up on what happened. By the rumblings he heard coming in, it seems like they were leaving soon to solve some troubles.

" So, my friends be sure that you rest well tonight, for tomorrow we head for Orax and it wouldn't be an easy trip. Maybe marauders or a dragon, we cannot fail this people, for they are worried about their loved ones. If you'll excuse me, I will retire now to my room and get ready. Well met to all of you. It's a pleasure to have found you tonight and that our paths had joined. "
The cleric, beign so close, has no problem hearing his plans.
With that, Frandal stands, makes a little bow to everyone and heads towards the private rooms area. He speaks for a brief moment with the owner of the inn, probably paying him another gold piece ot two to make sure that the last round is served in case the rest of the group decides to stay and that the next morning breakfast is ready for them before they go.
Then he retires to his room, put some more wood in the room's fireplace, meditate, and prepare his weapons and spells. Next morning he is the first one [or at least he tries to] to be at the common place ready to go.
As the night comes to the close, the party gains the benefits of a long rest. When the sky cracks open at the sight of the sun, Frandal and Salleek have awoken early and are in the tavern main hall. Snow falls gently and scatters across the streets outside. The Lunar Queen is just awakening, and the serving girls of the inn appear to have the run of the place in the mornings, preparing breakfast and lighting the torches to illuminate the Inn. As the rest arise and appear in the tavern main hall, those that drank alcohol are given a small concoction of egg yolk, cayenne, and slightly soured milk. It instantly clears the hangover, but at the cost of burning your mouth with spicy heat and revolting flavor. It's a struggle to keep it down. The Dragonborn seem to have a better time with it, however.
"Any chance to remove a scale that blocks The Warden's light from shining brighter is worth the risk. I am glad to be able to offer my sword in this..."
Shifting his eyes towards Salleek, he adds, resignedly,
"...as well as my shield."
Rhogash leaves for his room to prepare for the journey to come.
[EDIT - This page must have been up for a while before the DM's post. This post is meant to be what Rhogash said last night (in case that wasn't clear).]
Salleek stands, in the same garb as the night before - Cloak, long sleeves, kerchief over his mouth, and gloves, the only skin visible around his eyes, deep under his hood and hard to spot - by the door, ready to leave.
"Dragons are a bane on this world. It must be dealt with, and I believe this is the one I've had in my sights for a while. I hope this beast can be crushed quickly and soon."

Valen strides into the common room looking ready for battle: shield slung over one shoulder, a heavy coat of ringmail to his thighs, a dense mace slung at his hip, and a massive medallion of Miru hanging from his neck. "We'll need to stop for provisions before setting out. I came into a small amount of wealth through my services last night and would be happy to contribute."
Sensing an air of apprehension, Valen quickly catches on, "Oh yes, introductions. Valen, Blessed of Miru's Bastion. My pilgrimage brought me to this town seeking ways to provide aid, and it seems you all have found a mountain of it, or a crater if the rumors sound true." Valen heads to the bar and throws down a few coins, "Would you happen to have anything for long travel on the road?" Turning around, "How many do we have here? We must hurry, evil stalks at night and I don't want to be caught with no shelter, cold winds, and who-knows-what out there."
[It occurs to me that I have no idea how much money I have. I know it has to be at least 14gp. Since we are jumped to lvl 3, are we using starting money, more, or less?]

Vicril had a good night's sleep after a long time on the road. It's not something he is used to yet and he is the last person to enter the common room. The hangover cure is nothing short of a miracle for him, even as it burns his tongue.
"Right then friends, if I remember we had a ruin to discover. Shall we be on our way then? I must say, I was hoping to stay in the city for a few more days, but adventure and excitement waits for no one.," Vicril gives a big smile as he yawns to get the last of the sleep out of his eyes.
Frandal greets Sallek and the others as they came out of their rooms.
"I see. Remember my friend, that we are not sure if there is a dragon involved. We'll see. I would like to hear more about this worm that you are hunting, perharps once we are on route?." he looks to the snowing falling "or perhaps when we camp tonight. It seems that it will not be a pleasent day to walk and talk."
"So you are going to come with us" he says to Valen "excellent excellent. Welcome aboard! The city is three days ahead of us. And let's hope that we are talking of just a mountain pass closed due to a landslide. I would hate to bring back bad news to this good people."
Frandal has his road clothes on once more, and his stuff and weapons are against the wall near the table he and Sallek arranged for all the party to have breakfast.
OOC:
Rolled a 3d4 = 10 x2 = 20 + 25 from noble background = 45 gp
Night expenses: 5 gp for everyone dinner and 5 sp from their drinks, ( If I am correct if not adjust as needed) plus 2 gp and 1 sp of his own expenses that makes 7 gp and 6 sp. He will add 4sp for a total of 8 gp.
He talked with the barkeeper the night before about some rations for the journey for everyone. I don't know how much gp will cover for that but I will add 2 gp to the bill. If everything is ok that leaves us with 35 gp in the elf purses.
Rammen comes down the stairs dressed in the same simple travelers clothing he was wearing the night before. He reaches the bottom of the stairs, takes one look around the common room, sees everyone at a table and gives a stretch and a big yawn, which is frankly mildly off putting.
He then makes his way over to the table and sits down greeting everyone in turn and notices the faint gears that were once carefully carved into the wood surface - he traces these with one finger.
[history check 15 -1 = 14 to see if he knows any significance behind the carvings]
History Check: The Tables look like they were made by gnomes, but it looks like that these are a gift, probably to the barkeep.
As you breakfast, you see the snow gently floating outside the window. As you finish up, you are given a total of 30 days of rations to split between yourselves. The morning air, as you begin to depart, is crisp and fresh. A familiar chill speeds down your spine as the cold air hits your lungs, giving you some goosebumps. You're ready to set out.
"Food keeps us going, but other equipment could keep us alive longer. Is there an apothecary or smithy nearby?"
[I'd like to see of there's a way to pick up some healing potions, minor ranged weapons, and/or vatious kits first. 30 gpin my pocket ( (3d4x2)+14) minus cost of food]

Curious about the table carvings - Rammen inquires with the barkeep for the story behind them and offers up 2gp for the tale.
[you can either make one up if you want - or I'll gladly just accept that he gave me the story of them - Rammen just loves a good story - unless its relevant to the over all adventure]

"Well, now that we have undigestable food for the next few weeks I think I am ready to depart to this city of ruins."
