[I was going to just edit my post above, but figured it may have been lost. If the story/time allows, I'd like to pick up the following: 4 javelins, 2 handaxes, 2 healer's kits, and an explorer's pack (including the 10 extra days of food included). Total is 27gp per the PHB, so that should leave me about cash poor, but that's what adventures are for!]
Grishkar Darkmoor, Necromancer of Nerull the Despiser Kelvin Rabbitfoot, Diviner, con artist, always hunting for a good sale Bründir Halfshield, Valor Bard, three-time Sheercleft Drinking Competition Champion, Hometown hero
Rhogash bristles at being referred to as "scale" because it speaks of his "true nature" for which he hopes to atone.
"My name is Rhogash, and I am not sure you would understand my unease. Scales [he stresses this word] never do. Let's just leave it as I'm not sure I can trust you, but we seem to have a common enemy for the present."
As Rhogash and Salleek hash out their differences while exiting the tavern, Valen makes a quick trip, avoiding the Templaret, while the rest prepare and Rammen asks about the tables. "The tables were carved by an elf girl who was raised by gnomes, she absorbed a lot of their culture, she did. She made the tables as a gift for takin' her in when her adopted parents died. Soon she grew of marrying age, at least, for an elf, and she was married off. Or at least, that's the last I know of her." The barkeep sniffs a little as your band of adventurers set out from the Lunar Queen Inn.
As the adventurers set forth from the gate, Valen returns, with a proper pack and some more supplies. As the gates shut behind you, all you can see is whirling snow, yet the sun can still be tracked luckily at this point in the day. You have three days journey to Orax.
"Here we are. On the road again!. Rammen lead us! you have been before next to Orax. Rise your spirits my friends! For this is a high endeavour and a little bit of snow should no hinder you!" with that Frandal starts to walk, hopefully in the right direction.
Once the town is out of sight, Salleek thinks to himself. Is it a reasonable time to take my cloak off and fly yet? Rhogash seems disconcerted by my scales already - I don't want to alienate the rest of the group too.
Conferring with Salleek and Rhogash, and with a good sense of direction for himself, Rammenchi begins to lead the group to Orax. Instead of walking a day down the river and crossing the official bridge, Rhogash finds a slow moving and shallow spot in the river, excellent for crossing. You quickly cross over the ice choked river and begin making your way to the Plains of Sarthaal, where Orax once thrived. Over the next eight hours, you travel at a good time, and the snow and clouds have finally cleared up. And currently you're cresting a large dune of snow. As you crest the white fluffiness of the dune, you can see a large plain of snow, broken by clusters of rock, you've made good time, and have arrived at the Plains of Sarthaal. You have roughly a day of travel left, and it is roughly around dusk.
Rammen suggests we find a suitable cluster of rocks to set up camp for the evening since we've been on the road for at least 8 hours and it's probably starting to get dark [?]
Valen is distracted by a rock with the most peculiar moss pattern....

Frandal smiles and winks back at Rammen when he points him in the right direction.
"Yes of course. I was... just checking if you were paying attention" he says clearly joking with him " thanks " he adds
[Survival: 11+2 = 13 ]
After the long day walking across the snow covered hills they reach that vantage point. Frandal nods to Rammen suggestion.
"I think I can help with that " he stands tall at the snow dune edge and look up to the sky and cries out as an eagle and extends his left arm to the sky.
In just a few seconds the rest hear another cry in response and they all see an eagle descending towards the elf's arm.
He pets the animal, wich has grey and silver feathers, and he gives her some meal as reward.
"This is Celebquesse. She can look for a suitable place fast enough" he seems to speak with the animal in low voice in elvish for some seconds and then the eagle extends again her wings and start to climb up making wider circles around the group.
Those who look back to the elf can see that he still is at the same spot, it seems that he's looking to the horizon but in fact his eyes are turned completely white with a bluesih glow on them.
[OOC: Frandal will use his familiar senses to look for a big and close enough cluster of rock who seems good to pass the night]
"Shouldn't we find some cover before stopping for the night?" , Vicril says while standing right below an outcropping. "You know Frandal, maybe you would be willing to answer a few questions for me once we set up camp tonight. We were somewhat disturbed yesterday."
Through Celebquesse's eyes, Frandal, you find a large slanted rock outcropping, with a large overhang, providing protection from some of the elements. As the party sets up camp there, pitching your tents or bedrolls and setting the fire. As the party prepares and sets up the camp, you all pull out the rations and consume them, perhaps with some difficulty.
So if you would, mark off one day's rations, and how to you want to divide the watch?
"I'll take second watch. I've got some work to do yet and it will be dark by then."
[I have Detect Magic locked into my spell list. I'd like to swap this for Protection from Evil in the first 2 hours, then take 2nd watch. Might I suggest that dawn watch be covered by the highest perception? Real-world military experience says that ambushes are most likely pre-dawn. Low light, fatigue, and possible obscurement from fog/dew]

Rammen tells Valen to wake him when its time for his shift [I'll take 3rd watch - I have good perception and darkvision] and goes back to gnawing on his rations.
when he's done he curls up on his bedroll and puts his tail in his mouth
Once the camp is settled Frandal approaches Vicril and sits near him. The eagle nested in a rock behind them.
" Good day isn't it? I think that we have advance more than we thought we could. " he shares some fresh water with him. " You wanted to talk with me. " he says looking at Vicril eyes. He seems very interested in listening to Vicril's history.
[Frandal will be able to do any watch. He only needs 4 hour rest so he can take it at the begining, at the middle or at dawn wichever fits the rest better]
"I grew up in a rather closed environment, and as such had very little contact with the rest of the world. What I was told about the elves is probably a lie and I would love to learn more about at least one part of my ancestry. I feel it, and other energies roil within me and I wish to understand them. If we end up meeting a dragon, perhaps even more would become clear to me."
[Is every watch taken? If not, Rhogash can take one. Otherwise...]
Rhogash gets his things ready for another night's sleep under the stars. He once again recites his oath to himself to remind himself of the importance of finding this supposed dragon and disposing of it as soon as possible.

"I find it best to always assume the worst - then you are always correct or pleasantly surprised. I didn't say my name last night - I go by Salleek."
While he does sit down at the table, Salleek doesn't eat, having had an early breakfast before coming down (and still managing to arrive second).
"Gold-scale, we know not your name. Also, You seem to be uncomfortable when looking at me, may I ask why? You can answer in private if you prefer."
(The "Gold-Scale" Salleek is referring to is Rhogash)

Rammen gently grabs Frandal's shoulder and turns him 90 degrees.
"That way my friend....." he says with a wink and sets off ahead of the group humming a tune he picked up from the bard last night.
