As you enter the rough and tumble Bottom Rock Tavern, you see that it is not the sort of place for the high class or well mannered. A table of burly men surround one main large table in the center of the tavern, and before you have time to notice anything else, one of the men punches another beside him in the face. The result is a roar of laughter from the other men at the table and without much hesitation the man who was punched chuckles and returns a punch of his on, which lands square in the face of the man who had punched him. A second, more vigorous serenade of laughter now emits from not only the men at the table, but also from the two smaller tables, one to your right, the other in the back right corner of the small tavern. All the men raise their glasses and proclaim, "Here Here!". To your left you see a Tiefling laying prostrate and unconscious over a bar that extends down the length of the left side of the tavern. At the far end of this bar, you see the old man and young woman you saw enter just before you did.
"Haha very funny, I can live on land just fine and my apologizes but I do not have the gift of healing." Ducolis says to the guard "But this dwarf seems to be able to help you" nodding towards Terrance and he starts to walk towards the alleyway where he saw the man with the crystal mohawk dissapear.
Zaroc is unphased by the squalor around him. He is a man dead set on a mission-> dumplings.
The dwarf watches the brawl for a moment before heading to the bar taking a spot next to the passed out Teifling. He takes a mental note of the locations of the two individuals he saw enter before him, but does not pay them much attention otherwise.
You enter the familiar Bottom Rock Tavern and immediately bump into one of only three inhabitants not currently drinking or drunk. The one you bump into, is a fellow hill dwarf who seems to be quite oriented in an appreciation for nature. Surely an odd sight to see a dwarf, in a bar, without a drink. Additionally you see what looks like the man from the market. His hood is up, but his white beard is visible and his cloak looks familiar. Sitting beside him, is the human you followed.
"Oceans Above! What's a dwarf doing in a place like this without a drink?" Terrance exclaims. "Barkeep! Two pints of your finest swill for me and my mudborn associate." Terrance attempts to situate himself at the bar in such a way as to keep sight of the dangerous white bearded man and the running human. "What's your name friend?" Terrance says while his eyes narrow shrewdly towards the cloaked figure.
Terrance actually left just before you reached the guards, tho nearby, sort of over your right shoulder, there is a halfling either getting knocked prone or stumbling after being bumped by a half elf wearing a cloak of white fur. It seems the half elf may be about to offer healing to the halfling if it needs it.
Thinking that the man with the mohawk is probably too far gone, Ducolis decides to go and check if the halfling and the half-elf are okay. If they are he will head towards the tavern to cool off.
"The name's Terrance. I would be honoured to join you for a meal, however we may have to postpone, I'm currently here on business. Do you see that man over there with the white beard and long cloak?" Terrance tries to point surreptitiously across the room at the man from earlier. "He has the audacity to claim that there is something beyond the barrier surrounding our fair land. Now either he's a nutter who needs to be stopped before he leads fools to their deaths or he has genuine information that needs to be examined carefully and acted on swiftly." Terrance turns back to Zaroc an idea forming. "I don't suppose you'd be interested in helping me, one dwarf to another. Many hands make quick work an' all." A snowy white eyebrow rises questioningly.
Hanzo upon entering the tavern will take a scan of the room seeing if he spots the old man. Once he sees him he’ll approach the bar to order two drinks one for himself and one for the old man. “Excuse me barkeep, may I get two pints of ale?” After recieving the ale Hanzo will walk to the old man.
“I haven’t much though about the possibility of life outside the island. Didn’t think it was possible to be honest, haven’t people tried and failed to find it in the past?”
Zaroc’s eyebrows furrowed as his stomach rumbled again. “Tell you what, as long as we can get some food after this I'll help out. What’s the plan?”
"From what I've heard those who try to sail past the barrier just arrive at the other side of the island. Those who try to go under the barrier aren't heard from again, but if he knows some way through there could in theory be something beyond." Terrance winces as Zaroc's stomach rumbles. "Maybe we can grab a quick bite while we come up with a proper plan."
Terrance waves at the barkeep in attempt to get some food for Zaroc. While he's waiting for the man he turns back to Zaroc.
"There's a couple of ways I see we can do this but I'm open to ideas. We could waylay him when he leaves and question him or we could follow him from here and see what he does."
The end of the bar closest to you and the front door dons the body of a Tiefling hunched over unconscious, still holding a bottle of wine. You see that the old man has put up the hood on his cloak, and taken a seat at the far end of the bar.
Briarwalks over and takes a seat as close as possible to the old man where he is seated at the far end of the bar, looking for a seat or just spot to stand out of the way of everyone that is at least within 20' of the old man, closer if possible. Very aware that any talk of anything beyond the barrier is taboo, or at least will attract unwanted attentionBriaropts to use her Warlock Feature, Awakened Mindto communicate with him telepathicallyone on one without anyone overhearing or taking offense!
'Please excuse me elder sir... I am Prudence Hawthorn but most people know me as 'Briar' a humble student of the Unseen Sanctuary. I saw and heard some of what you were saying on the street about beyond the barrier and followed you here to speak to you, privately being that this is a rather delicate subject. My twin-sister 'Bramble' is missing, I think she traveled beyond the barrier, I am looking for her or news of her so I am begging you to please tell me whatever you know about beyond the barrier or about my sister.'
You can telepathically speak to any creature you can see within 30 ft. of you if it understands at least one language.

Oh my, thats quite a skill you have. I should warn you however, exploring the mind of an old wizard is not an endeavor to be taken lightly. You may find more that you can accommodate. However, I am sorry about your sister. Unfortunately I do not know of her whereabouts. Still... its nice to know someone is willing to listen to me these days. Such a shame speaking truth comes with such a violent response from our society. What if I told you I have communed with someone who exists in a world not our own? What if I had a way to reach into their world, and allow them to enter ours? Would you, like so many others, call me an old fool and walk away? Or would your interest be peaked enough to help me?
As Terrance and Zaroc take seats at the bar, the tough looking female dwarf bartender, hands Hanzo two pints of ale. "That'll be two silver pieces rock top", she demands. She stands just over 5ft tall, clad in a green short sleeve shirt and leather armor pants. Her hands don leather gloves with cutout fingers, her messy brown hair tied in a loose ponytail.
Ducolis sees that the halfling and half-elf are fine. While passing the half-elf Ducolis says "Good luck with those wounds. They are quite serious." and he makes his way to the tavern
The White Wolf straightens the wolf-head cowl of his cloak, then approaches and bows his head to the injured guards. Once more he offers his hand, and the symbol of his wrist bound in red thread.
"I may be able to soothe your burns, if you wish."

A Hill Dwarf strolls down the street after a long shift. Hunger pangs his stomach, and he realizes that it has been some time since he’s eaten.
Glancing around for places to eat, he sees an old man enter a tavern across the road, followed by a young woman.
“There must be some sort of special going on to draw such a diverse crowd”, he thinks, “Maybe they’re making dumplings! Better check it out”
Zaroc bee-lines for the tavern, mouth watering with the idea of food, and opens the door

If Rasquin is okay, The White Wolf will move to tend to the guards.
If not, he'll tend to Rasquin first.
(( Either way, here's a Medicine roll - 23 ))
Terrance followed the running human he saw to the Bottom Rock Tavern, keeping an eye out for the man who injured the guards.

"Zaroc!” he replies, “Yourself?” He is surprised but happy to see a fellow Dwarf in the city.
“I was about to rouse this blue fellow here to see if he would join me for a meal, but it seems fate has brought me a better alternative”
