Listening to the conversation through the circle, Lawrance startles at the mention of an Ancient Red dragon, thinking about how a being who has lived so long could have amazing knowledge and memories to hear from.
%Shame we will probably end up having to kill him. What a waste.%
*Certainly would be, but otherwise he helps bring back Tiamat, as you've told me.*
%Oh, I know it's true, Aisling. I wonder why a dragon of such venerable age would allow such a thing, after all? Reds are normally very selfish and territorial. I've even known some to directly challenge Tiamat when she got too domineering. And win!%

After the conversation is concluded and the gate closed, he asks "Why would Hoondarrh suddenly join in this endeavour? What a horrible thing to do to the city, when they surrendered, also! This village he preserved - does it have some meaning for him that we can use, I wonder? Could his hoard have somehow been entrapped in Mintarn? So many question, so few answers."

Over the next four day journey back to the Sword Coast, Perry works with the kobolds, Niko, and various other castle staff on some projects throughout the castle. Firstly, since we made a lot of progress on the theatre room already, we make sure to finish it. Secondly, they start construction on a dragon playpen in the previous dragon hoard room. There will be shiny things resembling gold and other shiny baubles strewn about along with several biteable objects. Thirdly, overlooking the playpen on the upper ledge will be a hotspring-esque pool area. The idea being that folks can relax while they watch the dragons play below.
Perry makes liberal use of both Polymorph (for various animal forms to help with manual tasks) and Animate Objects (to move the heavier things, dig, and do other relevant tasks) to help in accomplishing the above projects. Other than casting spells to help, Perry doesn't do any actual heavy lifting. He does walk around with fake glasses and a clipboard though, as if to make himself look like some sort of supervisor as he tells the workers what to do.
Perry and Niko throw on a theatrical play for the Blaze on the night before they arrive at the Citadel in the new theatre. The play tells the story of a tiefling and an elf who attempt a heist together before getting caught by paladins and sent to prison. Shadowsnacks makes an appearance as the head paladin's steed.
During the flight back to Adbarrim, Lawrance has a busy few days. Between introducing Aisling to his two students, and spending time during the day instructing them into their magic, learning and exploring the unusual magic of Cratol's companion, and working of the spell designs he has been planning, his days are quite full. The apprentices are learning well, and with the aid of the Hats of Wizardry he purchased for them they are exploring the casting of cantrips in the workroom with all manner of successes and failures.
At one point, while working out the flows and runes to enable one of the spells, Aisling, who is upright in a rough-shaped stone holder Lawrance created for her, asks:
"Lawrance, would you mind if I sing?"
"You can sing, dear?"
"Oh, yes! I used to sing all the time, when not busy. Not recently, of course, but before."
"By all means, then. Just something soft, so I can still focus."
Strangely enough, she makes a noise like someone clearing their throat and begins, in Elvish:
"Sun sleeps, content, stars come out, glorious
Pure light reflects faces, turned up, ready
The dance begins
Slow movements, grace of peace
The grove whispers encouragement
the circle closes, joined spirits
Time passes unnoticed, ever flowing
The family, the couple, the one all here, sharing
Too soon to leave, no need to go
And yet even our peace doesn't last.
Smiles shine under starlight, dance is done"
Once finished, Lawrance sighs and opens his eyes. "I didn't know you knew Elvish songs, Asiling. That was very nice."
"I didn't either. I just knew it, somehow.I think I remembered it."
Lawrance thinks for a bit, finger tapping his lip. "This begs a question - were you created sentient, or are something more? Do you have any memory of your creation or even before?"
She sighs, saddened by the reminder of her lack "No, nothing. Other than language and what I've told you of my abilities, nothing before your finding me."
"I'm thinking that you may have been something more than what you are today, Aisling. Perhaps even a mortal somehow transformed. This is troubling."
" I...I just don't know. I WANT to know!"
"I haven't stopped, and I won't until we restore your memories. THEN, we'll see where we need to go."Lawrance returns to his spell-work, distracted by the thoughts.
-You know you may lose her, if you succeed, Lawrance?-
%I know, but I can't leave her in these chains, Gamliel. If that means she finds a different path from mine, so be it.%

Tazskan, meanwhile who has been keeping to himself of late. Greets everyone in the dinning room, there appears a little sadness in his eyes as he makes an announcement. After drinking his ale, he quietly pauses before beginning his speech, he appears to have a more serious demeanor, about him at this time.
"I've had some great adventures with all of you, with many memorable moments. I have made and forged a great friendship with you all. I cannot forget, and thank you enough for rescuing me from the cult member's," He says.
"Lawrence, the wise and powerful, Poljen, son of Nel, the vanquisher of evil, Cratol, the quick and deadly fist, Velon, envoy of justice, and brave leader, Lia, deliverer and savior," He adds.
"To my newest allies, I also salute Perry, the cunning, and brilliant one, Morgaine, the defender, loyal warrior, I will also miss," He continues.
"I must leave you all, It has been an honor fighting by your side. I return to my homeland, Tymanther, where I shall retire, and live out a peaceable existence. I feel I've done enough for Bahumat, and even the wise old one. Now must step aside for a younger generation, to step in," He adds.
"I will finish with a dragonborn oath that is only fitting: Allies before Self. Family before Allies. Clan before Family. Ancestors before Clan. Honor before all.”
OOC Hint: I've given a hint that I would like to return later, as a Dragonborn character, but in a different class, in the 5e system. If everyones happy with that?
During the next four days Cratol will spend every morning and evening doing his exercises to continue making sure he is well versed in his art. He will be seen with Sylmae as she learns some of his moves to help her protect herself some. In the afternoons he is practicing with the light crossbow to get used to it more.
As others think of shopping he places his order in for some more clothing for himself and Sylmae so that he has clean clothes to wear and she has nice dresses to wear.
Lia claps at the end of Perry's show. " Well done, well done. I am proud to have known you Perry Perringtom . Im sure that one day you will perform before royalty . Just don't forget us little people ." She winks and grins at him.
Mari enjoys the show as well and commends Perry on his performance. " Wonderful story about the elf and tiefling . Is that original material?" She will spend much of the next four days working on her martial training .Mari works on acrobatic moves and lightning like swordsmanship.
Lia smiles sadly at Taz. " It has been truly a pleasure my friend. Thank you sir for accompanying us and helping us in our struggle .You will not be forgotten . Perry will sing of you for years. Happy life to you. Remember that if you need help one day feel free to call me upon us . We will always aid a friend. " She spends most of the next four days with Velon and working on some new magic she is trying to pick up.
Castle Skyreach continues its journey back towards the Sword coast. A few days later, two figures are seen upon the horizon. Soon enough, they resolve into a pair of dragons. A large gold, rippling its long wings as it seems to swim through the air, and a smaller Bronze, trying to keep up with its peer.
The gold dragon appears to be carrying something, and the bronze has a rider. After a brief exchange, they set down in the castle's courtyard.
Shortly after it being set down, the wooden container carried by the gold expands into something the size of a small house, even as the one carrying it shrinks into the human known to several in the group as Silas. He bows in greeting to any present to welcome him, "Greetings my friends. I wish to introduce you to Dalna and Sinternal."
Dalna, a rough looking dwarven woman, is deftly removing herself from the saddle, and then the saddle from the bronze. She briefly spares a glance for you all, merely saying, "Hey"
Sinternal appears to be very young for her kind, perhaps 30 or 40 years old, her scales have not quite developed the deep bronze color found in adolescence. She ducks her head, apparently a bit embarrassed by the attention, formally, she states, "It is a pleasure to meet you all."
Upon hearing the speech from Taz, Morgaine has tears rolling down her checks. It saddens her to see a new found friend leave so soon. She will go up to Taz and hug him and wish him the best and if he needs anything just let us know and we will be there.
Morgaine will spend time in the courtyard continuing to work with her swords and the scimitar. She will encourage Poljen to join her and spare a bit during those times. Then one day, upon seeing the dragons coming towards the courtyard; Morgaine moves back as far as she can to give them as much room as possible to land. She is awed by them and more so when one of them changes shape. She stays quite during the introductions.
Morgaine wearing her dress done in shades of green with gold accents that fits her snugly; enjoys the play Perry puts on and applauds him for his work and tells him that she looks forward to many more.
Perry makes his way from the construction area of the dragon playpen, up through the tunnels underneath the castle, and out into the upper courtyard area. He is wearing tiny, round spectacles that rest at the very, very tip of his nose and is carrying what appears to be some sort of wooden slab with a sheet of paper attached to it along with a quill. He minds his own business as he stares down the length of his nose at the paper.
He scribbles some writing on it.
Suddenly, he makes what can only be described as a frrmph noise at the paper, seemingly dissatisfied with whatever happened to be written upon it. It is then that the bard notices the shadows of dragons on the ground before him. Now normally the bard would probably run screaming at this point, but he appears to be in a mood. Instead, he just frrmphs again, slightly louder this time, and looks up at whatever bother is about to plague him. He watches with great apathy as the dragons, dwarf, and inflatable house land right in the middle of courtyard.
When they land and deliver their greetings, the tiefling calmly walks over and says, "Ah yes, good day. I'm Perrington. A pleasure."He looks to the dwarf then continues, "You must be the one I sent for. Hmm, they never mentioned you being delivered by dragons, but no matter. Very strange. At any rate, follow me and I will show you to where we keep the reserves and wot."
Velon enjoys Perry's play and congratulates him and Niko on the performance. He does comment that the elf in the story seemed quite full of himself and quite useless beyond being well educated, something Velon himself thinks is overrated, especially on account of his experiences with wizards and all. "I hope there is a follow up where they escape the prison and some redeeming quality of this elf surfaces, eventually" he remarks. "Otherwise, I really just don't get it, to be honest. The performance was still good though, don't get me wrong, as I REALLY grew to hate the guy quite quickly, actually. I did like the tiefling though. She was smart and downright scary, really."
The dragon blooded paladin is in awe of the arrival of their dragon friends despite the experience he has had with such creatures over the last year. He grins widely at the site of his mentor landing and bringing friends and gifts. As the Blaze gathers to greet their guests, Velon bows to both Irdeith and Sinternal, welcoming them both in draconic. To Irdeith, in his humanoid form, he uses his formal dragon name out of respect and extends a hand to shake or touch 'claws' as his elder had taught him. To Sinternal he offers a similar gesture of touching his gauntleted hand to her claw if she would like, but is hesitant as he does not know how other dragons will want to greet him.
Velon turns to greet the dwarf but pauses briefly to raise an eyebrow at Perry's mention of "the one I sent for", but recovers and welcomes Dalna to Castle Skyreach as well.
Looking at the massive crate the dragon carried all of this way, Velon can't resist. "Well, everyone will want to know Irdeith. What is it that you carry with you?"
Velon asks all of the guests if there is anything they can do for them, if they are hungry, and tells them that they've prepared quarters for them all. Privately he is less confident about exactly what quarters will suffice for Sinternal, however, but at least the halls and rooms are big and they are well stocked on food.
Dalna looks Perry up and down briefly, then states, "Unless by reserves you mean wyverns, you're mistaken tiefling. Now where are the stables, I would see these poor dears you've been neglecting."
Irdeith looks back at the crate in response to Velon's question, "Some of it is food supplements for Sinternal, I doubt you have stocks of bronze on hand you want her eating. But as for the rest... Ask Dalna, she insisted that it was all necessary if she was to be taking on this job." He lowers his voice and leans in a bit, "Honestly, I think she loaded it heavy on purpose, she wasn't too happy about me calling in the favor she owed me. She looked disappointed when I shrunk it down."
More loudly, he continues, "In regards to the wyrmling, well, that is a favor I wished to ask of you. Sinternal's father was a friend of mine, and was one of those lost at Helgebal. Her mother died a few decades before. I realize this is somewhat short notice, but I had hoped that we could shelter her here for a time. Chasorth and I are working on finding more permanent arrangements, but in the meantime, she is about the age where she would be expected to spend time learning from the world at large anyways. Many of the best examples of what the humanoid races have to offer are found here, exactly the sort her parents would want her to learn from first."
Upon hearing of the arrival of the new guests, Lawrance rushes out of the tower, grabbing Aisling as he goes. "A GOLD, Aisling, in full form!" Gamliel trails behind, bemused. He arrives at the courtyard, sees the final stages of the magical transformation and slows to a walk, disappointed to have missed Irdeith in dragon-shape. Shrugging at the lost opportunity, he greets them politely "Hello and welcome to Castle Blaze, Irdeith, Dalna, Sinternal. Maybe your stay here be uneventful but progressive. If you have time, I have a spell I've been developing that I'd love your opinionon." He nods at Velon's suggestions of quarters and such, and adds: "If you'd like, we can also open up the caverns below, if Sinternal would be more comfortable there?" Blushing a little at being considered one of 'best examples', Lawrance also adds "I'm sure we would love to have her stay here with us and study, although some of us may be a bit, um, 'random' in our teaching."
When Perry saunters up to the group and claims the Dwarven lady, he snorts, reminded of how he also was wont to distractions. "Ah, Perry? I don't think she's here for your construction projects."
*She's marvelous, Lawrance! So much more...fine than the blue from before!"
% That she is. But then, I suspect all the metallic breeds are far more impressive than their chromatic counterparts, in general. More sane, too.%

Seeing the Dragons coming in while he practices his crossbow skills Cratol stops and watches them land and introduce the Dwarven woman and the young bronze dragon. Cratol stays back a bit and lets the others introduce themselves to the newcomers and will introduce himself to the Bronze dragon once the others are done. The dwarven woman he can introduce himself to after she sees to the Wyverns.
Perrington's jimmies are rustled by the shocking revelation that the dwarf was only brought here to train wyverns. "Hrmph, very well then. I should have known. You don't appear to be dressed for barista work anyway." The bard releases a weary sigh, then continues, "I suppose our coffee dilemma will just have to wait." He scribbles some nonsense onto the paper he's holding, then looks up and says, "No matter, I shall show you to the stables then. We have been in desperate need for a trainer. Oh and you there, the shy cute bronze one. Sinternal was it? Yes, Lawrance is correct, the newly renovated cavern below should be suitable for you. We are still doing final touch-ups down there, and I would certainly value a real dragon's input on what else to add. Follow me as well please."
He first leads the dwarf to the stables and introduces her to the kobolds, "Liz, Komo, Iggy, this here is Dalna. She is a master wyvern trainer. You three should assist her with anything she needs as she works with the wyverns, okay?"
After that, he leads Sinternal, along with anyone else who would follow, down to the partly constructed dragon playpen. On the way down the tunnels, Perrington chats with Sinternal as if he's some sort of tour guide, "You know I've always liked bronze dragons. Excellent facial structure, quite majestic and regal really. At any rate, you see my good Sinternal, this entire castle was once owned by giants, which is why it's so big and wot. And these caverns here were once home to an adult white dragon. However, we've taken some steps to making the previous hoard area more dragon color agnostic. It's quite a challenging task what with the diversity of your kind and all, but we are slowly making progress. In this day and age, we need to be accommodating and conscientious of our guests' needs."
Upon arrival to the chamber, Sinternal will see that there are many shiny things in the dragon hoard room including a pile of "coins" and other shiny baubles. "We are still partly under construction here but please do make yourself comfortable. I would appreciate any feedback on the accommodations as we always strive for excellence here. Right above you is a hot spring area if you would like to partake in that, though be warned that it is also currently undergoing finishing touches. You are also free to roam the castle and fly about above the courtyard of course. Don't mind the Pegasus."
Mari eyes the dragon curiously. " It is good to see you again Irdeith . Thank you so much for my second chance. I feel that I have made the best I could of it so far . We will be proud to have Sinternal stay with as long as needed ."
Lia greets the newcomers with a broad smile plastered on her face. " Thanks again for meeting and assisting us Irdeith. We could not do what we do without your aid. I hope we are living up to your expectations for us. "
She then grins at Sinternal. " You will always be welcome with us Sinternal . It will be a true honor for you to stay here with us . I am a follower of Sune and she grants me the ability to heal . If you ever need any kind of help or healing call upon me at any time. I hope that we will be fast friends . It will be great fun to learn from each other . I am the only elf here and understand how time flows for us that live long centuries ."
Sinternal eyes Perry with caution and curiosity. The young dragon circles the bard, sniffing and studying. Sidling over to Irdeith, she asks him, "What is it? I don't like the smell." "He is a Tiefling dear, a human with a small trace of fiendish heritage. They can often be trouble, but their disposition is not guaranteed, as with most humanoids, they must be judged based on their actions. Perry here can be trusted, at least on important matters, I make no guarantees when it comes to pranks." "Oh, okay."
Irdeith looks to Perry, "I am quite certain she would be happy with the cavern below, from what I recall of it. I'll be staying as well for a day or two, I should be able to help get her settled."
Turning to Velon he continues, "You said before that there was some manner of dragonbane sword you wished for me to take a look at? I can't guarantee anything, but I do have experience with martial enchantments. I'll see if anything can be done."
"Yes, please, Ir.., ah, Silas. Poljen is holding onto it in hopes of using it against the followers of Tiamat. While we're on the subject, I believe we have another item or two that you should look at. They likely need to be destroyed. One is the weapon of Rezmir."
OOC: I actually forget what all of the cursed items, etc. would be, but this might be a good time to address them.

A pleasure." He looks to the dwarf then continues, "You must be the one I sent for. Hmm, they never mentioned you being delivered by dragons, but no matter. Very strange. At any rate, follow me and I will show you to where we keep the reserves and wot."
Poljen also wishes Taz well. "You have fought well, Taz. The Blaze will be weakened by your retirement from the field. Fare thee well!"
He also grudgingly is amused by Perry and Niko's play, and applauds.
When the dragons arrive he greets the newcomers and offers to help carry anything heavy they might have.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The dragon blooded paladin is in awe of the arrival of their dragon friends despite the experience he has had with such creatures over the last year.
If you have time, I have a spell I've been developing that I'd love your opinion on." He nods at Velon's suggestions of quarters and such, and adds: "If you'd like, we can also open up the caverns below, if Sinternal would be more comfortable there?" Blushing a little at being considered one of 'best examples', Lawrance also adds "I'm sure we would love to have her stay here with us and study, although some of us may be a bit, um, 'random' in our teaching."
More sane, too.%
“Can you tell me the difference between a witch and a wizard?"
"Sure, a wizard is what they call you when they want to hire you, and a witch is what they call you when they're getting ready to run you out of town.” SunWolf replied
