“Clonukt want to live, so keep head down. Orcs mean, hurt Goblins, so Goblins stay away, keep out of business. Me no know ambush places, only way.” Clonukt then indicates the ropes that he’s still bound by.
Insight: He seems to be telling the truth. He’s more scared of dying than anything at the moment and seems willing to do anything to live. There’s a small indication of fear or anger whenever he mentions the Orcs.
"Well let's first get out of this grass so we can unbind you, Clonukt!" Doc says, expecting Clonukt to follow as he moves toward the direction where the goblin had previously pointed.
During one of your flights shortly after the encounter Quilqwen, you notice a large cat of some sort in one of the few trees. It appears to be eating something small with green-ish skin.
After about half an hour of walking you spot a small smoke stack rising from the left (East). Edra’s nose twitches as she sniffs the air. Her eyes go wide slightly “I’ve got to go. I need to check on something. Carry on to this camp and save the people. And if you’re able to… give them one hell of a beating for me.” And with that she heads off in the direction of the smoke.
You see a few more animals, both prey and hunter, in the distance, but like before they give you a wide berth. After a few miles the tall yellow grass falls away, slowly melting into a greener landscape. Trees become more common, the bushes are larger and contain more berries, and it’s not long before you hear the sound of running water in the middle distance. The water doesn’t sound like it’s flowing fast or roughly, but it does sound like there’s a lot of it.
You push through a large clump of bushes and trees and come to a river 50ft wide at the narrowest point you can see. No bridges can be seen. Clonukt points to the other side of the river a bit sheepishly.
Violet looks with slight annoyance at the water, "....I swear if we get ambushed while doggy paddling our way through this, I'm gonna bomb whatever is stupid enough to try."
(Tortles can hold their breath for an hour so could easily walk along the bottom (if carrying enough weight). Quilqwen you could fly halfway before landing in the water, but without help you'd have to make a swimming roll at disadvantage. Anyone that helped would themselves take disadvantage. Quilqwens bird form is not like a water bird, and as such not good at swimming. Carrying clonukt would also give disadvantage. Failed rolls could have bad outcomes.)
Quilqwen looks around to see if there are any trees he could fly up into and then use to fly across perhaps into another tree. to get across the river.

DOC
"Is the entire way there covered by this tall grass, Clonukt?"
"No, only little bit"
DOC
"Well let's first get out of this grass so we can unbind you, Clonukt!" Doc says, expecting Clonukt to follow as he moves toward the direction where the goblin had previously pointed.
Quilqwen stands Clonukt up and follows Doc. Once again doing his occasional flights to check around.
Perception : 23
You stand Clonukt up and continue forward.
(It’s about 2-3pm now)
(Aw darn, I'll miss Edra)
Estellen gazes out at the other side of the river, attempting to see any signs of a camp. Perception: 23
“Clonukt, how do you cross?”
You can see no signs of a camp from here.
Clonukt again sheepishly points at a very destroyed rowing boat a little way down river.
Being a Tortle, Doc slowly begins to wade into the water in order to make his way to the other side.
“I might be able to fly across. I’m still learning to use these. Quilqwen lifts one of his wings. “Doc can you carry Clonukt across?”
(Idk, can I DM?)
Violet looks with slight annoyance at the water, "....I swear if we get ambushed while doggy paddling our way through this, I'm gonna bomb whatever is stupid enough to try."
She then follows Doc and swims behind him.
”Doc perhaps you could take a rope across that the rest of us could haul ourselves across with?”
"How much further is the camp, Clonukt? Tell us that much, and I will let you go."
He points to some hills a little way off, "Not the nearest hill, but the one beyond. It is there"
"Is there a way to approach the camp that is un-guarded or less guarded?"
"Not that I know of. But I was only ever close to the main gate"
Quilqwen
Quilqwen looks around to see if there are any trees he could fly up into and then use to fly across perhaps into another tree. to get across the river.
