As they take a rest and prepare for the upcoming battle Quilqwen sits, legs folded under his body, his staff held upright in front of him. His eyes closed in thought. He is muttering to himself in a language you don't recognize (Druidic). As your rest nears its end something about him seams to change. It's very hard to put your finger on it, but there seams to be another sound, as if a voice, a whisper being carried through the air.
"They can help you. Protect them."
Suddenly Quilqwen jumps to his feet and starts looking around, Even doing some of the extended leaps, half fights, he was doing previously. "It happened! The awakening! I have an idea."
As you fly up you see that you're now moving into grass covered hills. It's not as long as the section you already passed through, but it's not short either. Looking around you can't see much wildlife, only small creatures that fly or scurry away as you fly up. You do notice some smoke in the distance in the direction you're heading.
Estellen speaks as he holds the pendant, "The match is most likely where the smoke is. Be very cautious from here on out."
He will then dig a small hole in the ground and bury the pendant, making a small marker as well as a mental note of where he left it. He will cast alarm as a ritual, giving him a mental ding if anyone besides the team walks within a 20 ft cube centered on the pendant.
"We should try and rescue them now if we can, who knows if we will have time to get reinforcements."
"Agreed. I will defer to the three of you as to where best launch the attack from as you will be initiating the opening volleys. Just give me a few moments to prepare once we are there."
Quilqwen will follow the others as quietly as possible. Once they find a suitable spot he will move 55 feet ahead of them. Just before they start their attack he will call forth a Bear Spirit Totem catching all of them in its area. Then turning to watch for any forces coming out of the camp.
As you try to stealth forward it's clear to Violet that no-one but her is actually hidden (although the others believe they're hidden). After a short walk you find yourself looking down from the top of an old quarry into a large encampment. It's a long way from the sides of the quarry.
The walls of the camp are wooden and erratic in design and construction, with several guard towers along it. As you look down you can see several more large fires being lit as well as a lot of movement and activity.
Estellen whispers hurriedly to the party, "Someone has set off my alarm. My guess is that the magic caster among the barbarians managed to track it and went there to hunt us. We should turn around now and catch them in their own trap"
He then begins to make his way back towards the pendant, trying to find suitable high ground to rain death from above on the would-be ambushers.
Stealth: 17 (or just keep the roll from before, if he has to)
