Sim nods to Cora “As we can not be certain where we are coming out of the catacombs until we see the surrounding area, I do believe a quick stealth check of the other side of this door to get our bearings and the proceed quickly and en masse to our destination. Last thing we want is for us to step out and have a guard see us and wake the whole camp. Sim edges cautiously to the door and peeks out. Perception9
Sim, heads up the staircase, looking around. There isn't any kind of doorway that protects a view from the stairs to the outside and vise versa. As you glance about, there are dozens of tents. You can't quite see exactly where you might be in the camp. Similar to the last time you were all here for a few hours, the tents are laid about in no particular pattern or design. Simply making due with 'what works.' Shadows dance across the fabric of the homes, as the sounds of large campfires hit your ears. You recall your first night here and looking into the mountain, seeing the lights of this village despite the journey.
The coast is clear.
Diadochi; you smell and peek into some of the crates and boxes. Bits of broken stone, some scraps of metal. Others contain tightly bound cords of those reeds, turning into a sturdy amount of rope. Some smell like a drying semi-spoiled tomato. Looking inside the barrel, some pulpy fruit is beginning to ferment and soften. Either the early stage of alcohol or some kind of food storage.
(It still isn't letting me edit things on this device.... if you all decide to head up and begin the infiltration, I'll need DEX/Stealth rolls. Sim & Abigail, I can use yours that you already rolled unless you would like to roll it again. If you want to cast any spells to help, this would be the moment to do it, since I'll be using the lowest roll to see how well the team does)
Yaalin clearly is torn between loyalty to her party and the Shininess of a possible new adventure.
"You have no idea How much I want to come with you and see the wonders of your world...But I feel I owe it to my friends and my current employer to finish the task I am here in the mountains for."
Her shoulders sink a little at this internal decision but rise with a more focuses surity in her voice.
"You are right of course you have no reason to trust me but I will promise to be as truthful as I can. Zeb is not a name I am familar with. I wish I could say my hands are clean when it comes to fighting the denizens of this mountain Goblin and Hn'ti alike. But, I can't. We, my companions and I, Pursed and killed a goblin wizard during an attack on the Town of Rest, we fought and killed a couple of other wizards of your race as well. Two of them I barely recall as they got the drop on us and I was badly injured before the fighting really began. The Final one I tried to take alive and was assisting Shale in the attempt to open the Temple Vault. I went to silence him because I saw that the spell he was casting was draining the life force from the Goblins in the room. Trapped in cages they were, some I think had already died."
A Tear rolls down her cheek at the thought of such torturous death.
"We succeeded and failed that day, I stopped Shale for better or worse but as soon as we did Some Hn'ti in the same room turned on the remaining Goblins and ourselves. When All seemed lost an old Blind Goblin reached out to the spirit of the mountain for help. He did, sort of. You say you were rescued by spiders? that was us. Jeshur turned us to tiny insects and after attempting to save whomever we could, we ran. I fear your Zeb is dead if not by our hands then by those of the Hn'ti. I will accept what punishment is due for their death as I wager it was us.
When we eventual regained our natural forms we made our way back to Rest as we were lost, low on supplies and directionless. That is when Shale appeared to my former bodyguard a Loxodon, good man. revealed herself to be Cora a friend from his past and led the others off to accomplish what she had been trying to accomplish your fellow goblins help. I feel compelled to stop her again. I cannot and will not ask for assistance in the matter I will ask if you know the direction of the temple Shale was working in or of the Hn'ti village so that I may find my way there and try to prevent something terrible from happening."
She turns to Keetra with a hopeful look. "And maybe a welcome someday in the future if I am successful to talk again in your home and learn your stories better?"

Yaalin:
The name of the Hn'ti seems to fall across deaf ears and a few raised brows.
"Hn'ti?" she asks, while tilting her head to the side. She glances over to her bodyguard, who gives a shrug. The goblin rider who knew Shale says something. A brief exchange before she turns back to Yaalin. "What else is there outside the districts!?" she nearly yells. Both the two beside her jump a bit, tossing their hands up to get her to keep calm and her voice down. A sheepish look comes over her face, as the color fades from her cheeks a bit. "Oh. Sorry. Right. Loud noises bring all sorts of things outside of home." She gives a few nods and a bit of a huff. "It sounds like you have a life full of adventure. Are you sure you can't join us? We could use it. People who know what it's like to be an adventurer. To go off, come back with stories. Come back with things of worth. Of glory and the right to rise in one's station." She looks off to the distance a bit.
The one who wears a mask seems to jump in as Keetra looks to the distance. "No need to apologize for death. Death is death." There's a bit of a firmness to the voice. "Speaking of truth, you possibly did me a favor. Zeb was from the districts. Someone who trained and learned mystic arts. Secrets that are not meant to be shared with others. And we are here to ensure secrets are kept."
Yaalin, you don't specifically feel any kind of threat. The matter-of-factness is too strong for any kind of threat in the situation. "Do you require compensation? I am obliged to ask. Although we do not have much."
Group
You set out, a slow deliberate pace. Turning and moving as a loose group around the tends and trying to cling to the shadows.
Diadochi cuts a slightly different direction from the others, a few steps too far, and stumbles into a group of Hn'ti. The (5) glance at you, and begin to get move to engage....
"Erm, I don't suppose you are part of an underground resistance here to overthrow the oppressive regime? We could be friends or even allies." 6 persuasion.
If people have already attacked:
"Please remember we want to keep casualties on both sides to a minimum." Diadochi will attack the closet Hn'ti if he can grant flanking to Abigail he will. Attack: Attack: 25 Damage: 15 non-lethal damage. Protection fighter if possible
Setup: You all have been moving through the village, staying just far enough a part to keep a eye out on the different angles. Diadochi has stepped into a spot with two Hn'ti. Both adults. Both reaching to grab anything that can be used for a weapon, lungs beginning to fill. Between them is a small fire with a pot in the middle. They've about 8 feet away from each other, and a move action away from all those who are hidden (everyone not Diadochi, advantage on attack) Diadochi is about 10 feet away from them when he was spotted.
Yaalin chuckles a bit at the idea of being paid to tell stories.
"No, no compensation is necessary. Only directions if you can and are willing."
She perks for a second as she thinks of something.
I would like to offer you this though," She pulls the ornate bone knife she traded her mace for out, "I do not know what will help you raise your station but maybe some trinkets from the further reaches won't hurt" She offers the knife hilt first to Keetra
If asked she will tell the tale of acquiring the knife
"I would also appretiate if I might share your camp for the day and night, I have been alone for a few days and the company would be nice."
If they agree to let her stay with them/aren't moving on right away she will tell Keetra all about life in her tribe, her children, the story of her people being massacred and stories and fables she has gathered throughout her travels.
Abigail steps out of the shadow, a quick blow to the back of the head. The one Hn'ti crumbling as he's knocked out cold. She steps a few feet to the other, bringing the hilt against the side of it's face. It turns but Abigail quickly reacts. A second set of blows racking it's body as it begins to shift. The exhale of air as the wind is knocked out from its chest, collapsing and falling over.
Cora steps out from her spot. Her tiny frame reaching up to pat Abigail on her back. She then turns to look at Diadochi. "I know you mean the best. But we are here to kill. Subdue if you must," she gestures to the two on the ground. "But we're eliminating a leader. Someone who's death could put a power vacuum in this community. Cause a collapse. Cause death due to our actions. It is for the greater good, yes. But nobody here is your friend. Steel your heart. They are not our friends."
Cora begins to head back to the hiding formation. "Let's go."
Cora Stealth: 9 (Abigail & Diadochi also roll stealth)
Diadochi nods, " yes I know why we are here and what we mean to do, it doesn't mean we can take short cuts morally unless we have to." He started to check the Hn'ti for their possessions.
Then once again Diadochi sinks into the darkness. It wraps around him like a blanket, it's the only place he feels at home now. stealth15

The group once again begins to move around. Heading between tents. Pausing to take notice of Hn'ti stirring in their sleep. Some waking up to relieve themselves before heading back to the tent.
Two large tents, somewhat close to each other begin to be seen off in the distance. Both are over 100 feet away through a series of tents and other homes. The one on the left, identifiable as the Elder's location. The one on the right being held up by whale bones.
Cora turns a corner, stumbling over something before taking two hops. Three Hn'ti, one of them a child, sit around the fire talking. She mutters something under her breath, while the three of them scramble to their feet....
(Abigail, roll stealth. If greater than or equal to 11, you're stealthed. Others are considered stealth meaning advantage on their 1st attack)
Setup: Abigail and Cora come around one bend moving by a few tents and happen across three Hn'ti; two adults and one clearly a child. One of the adults and the child are close together, while the other one is about 10 feet away. The trio is about 20 feet away from Cora and Abigail. Diadochi, Sim, and Lafetha are all still hidden and about 30 feet away from the trio; 10 feet to the side and/or back of where Cora and Abigail just got caught. About 100 feet (North, for sake of argument) is the Elder's tent. Also, about 100 feet (North East for argument sake), is the large tent being held up by whale bones.
Sim, heads up the staircase, looking around. There isn't any kind of doorway that protects a view from the stairs to the outside and vise versa. As you glance about, there are dozens of tents.
