PbP Character: Asgar Albrech, human War Cleric of Bahamut - Foul Times in Ashcaster
PbP Character: Autumn Sun of the Wandering Dune Clan, tabaxi monk - One Shot Adventure - House of Artwood
Well the village of Ashcaster is not big enough to warrant a wall. However, everything in the town seems quiet and peaceful when you all turn in for the night.
When you awaken in the morning, each of you gathers your supplies and readies yourself to head to the sorcerer's tower. You all meet at Lebenha's abode and she leads the way. The journey to the tower is fairly quick, a little more than an hour on the old road west into the nearby foothills. The tower is a low squat round structure made of dark gray stone. The remnants of a once well maintained garden surround the tower. A small ring of stones is set in the ground at the eastern edge of the grounds. The fading green door is set in the center of the of tower and is slightly ajar. As you draw closer a voice rings out. "Oy! This here tower is ours and yer trespassin'. Now turn yerself 'round and go back the way ye came." There are four rather unseemly looking men who appear to be getting ready to enter the tower.
What do you want to do?

As for me, I choose to believe that an extinct thunder lizard is running a game of Dungeons & Dragons via Twitter!
Asgar puts his hand on his war hammer, but will try to convince these men to let them pass.
"Gentlemen, we're here on official business, so if you will be so kind as to step aside, so that we can conduct said business in peace. We wish no trouble."
Asgar looks to the others, and his eyes fix on Lebenha.
While Asgar handle the discussion with the new met, Thieven wants to focus his attention on them, trying to discern of they looks like criminal or not.
After that he will take a Ready action with Entangle Spell, just in case, if they want to struggle
"No we don't want trouble. " Lebenha answers in low voice "But I don't like their lookings"
[She doesn't recognizes them, does she? ]
She then adress the newcomers
"Sorry friends, we thought these ruins and its terrains were property of the people of Ashcaster and it's Baron. Who are you? How long have you been here?"
[insight: 1 to determine their responses and
9 perception to look for more men hidden in the ruins ]
Edit: [OOC: with that natural 1 on insight she probably will fall in love with one of them... /facepalm ;) ]
Alerian holds back a short way from the rest of the party to look out for possible trouble. At the approach of the newcomers, one arm raises his bow while the other slides to the quiver at his hip. Lebenha was his personal charge, a somewhat misguided beacon of hope-at-any-cost. Besides, people responded better to her than a moody elf from the deep woods.

The man who appears to be the leader scoffs at the mention of the Baron. "This here tower used to belong to an old sorcerer they say. And he went and got himself killed. Now they say the place is haunted or worse, cursed. But me and me lads don't believe in ghosts or in curses. But we do believe in gold and they say the old coot had fistfuls of the stuff and gems as well. So we plan on tearing the place apart until we find that gold. Now lassie, yer two friends here need to turn around and goes back the way they came before my boys take a disliking to them. But you, you little miss are welcome to stay as long as you like!"
You now notice that there are two more men lurking just around the curve of the tower, using it for partial cover. They have crossbows at the ready. You also notice some movement in some bushes a few dozen feet to your left, but you can't tell what is moving.
Lebenha, you don't recognize the men directly but you have heard tales of a group of bandits that have been raiding a few of the nearby farms north of the village along with an occasional trader's wagon.

(Stealth check to see if I can sneak around and ambush the one in the bush. 23 . If successful, I'd like to immediately attack with short swords - atk 1: 10 , dmg 1: 7 , atk 2: 15 , dmg 2: 6 )
(Edit: Just remembered that suprise grants advantage. Let me know if the sneak/surprise was successful and I'll add 2 more rolls down here for the advantage)
(Edit 2: Please remove 3 damage from the 2nd dmg as str/dex modifiers aren't applied to the off-hand)

Surprise was successful so please roll extra attack roll. However, there were two hidden in the nearby bushes so while you attacked the one the other yells out a warning.

He then grabs his shield and warhammer and walks towards the leader who disrespected Lebenha. "Dammit! I was hoping to have a peaceful morning-investigation with these fine people here, but you just had to go and be a dick, didn't you!"

Then he will take up his Longbow and fire at the one who yells the warning (if he can see him). If not he will hit the bandit boss.
