"Jallmur understands the Dick of Many things, but I be confused about the other items. Are all of the items being found in the Sea Ward? If not, where can Jallmur be finding them?"
After he sees the pile of ashes that was once Tsux, Jallmur is silent. He begins to pay attention, as he is afraid that he, too, will be incinerated. At the mention of the airship, Jallmur perks up.
"Jallmur loves getting high!"
After this, he looks toward the goblins. "Don't worry, little goblinses. Jallmur the Great can protect you from the evil dolphin-guards of Waterdeep."Then, Jallmur once again stops to think "Wait. If the water in Waterdeep be deep, how will I breathe? I don't know how to swim! JALLMUR IS GOING TO DROOWWN!" He goes on like this for a while, begging Gloomblast to save him from this torture.
Wensa grabs the gold greedily out of the air. Bites it. And puts it in her pouch. "Gold for snack! Snack say 'thank Chad'. Snack like gold. Ahh Chad want cardsss. Wensa can carry card." She turns to the other Goblins and "whispers" behind her hand loudly. "Wensa think wizard have gambling problem. Goblinses should help nice wizard"

There is a clause in there that says Chad and the Gloomblast estate is not responsible for your death. If the Deck is not recovered, you will be "transported to a random location on some other plane."
But finds she doesn’t understand it at all. She sticks her hands in the mud that came off of Skeekbas earlier and marks the contract much like her feet marked the letter.
"You will have plenty of gold to make a life for yourself. Chad is very rich don't you know?"

"The other magic items I speak of are of less importance. Mainly they are things I want but don't necessarily need. With that said, my little friends, they will help you in the theft of the Deck of Many Things. The other magic items include:
"The Wand of Enemy Detection is a very useful item, but this one will be a tough get. It is currently being used by the city guard at a city guard watchtower in the South Ward in district 61. My understanding is wand is held on the top floor of the spire. Prisoners are held in the basement holding cells, the first floor is the guard's barracks, the second floor is the armory and on the third floor is the watch area that overlooks the city. This information comes from an old friend of mine who is a Captain in the city guard."
"The Ring of Feather Falling is locked away in a vault at a coin traders shop, Khammeral’s Coins. This shop is in the Trades Ward in district 30. Word on the street is the vault is in plain sight and locked by magical means. There must be some sort of key somewhere I would suppose."
"The Cloak of Protection and ring of protection are being given away to the last survivor of an underground prize fight. Highly illegal, but that doesn't stop the owner from putting on a good show. The fight is taking place at The Bloody Fist tavern in the Dock Ward in district 50. Enter the fight and be the last remaining fighter alive. Now I'm not sure how accepting they're going to be to a goblin prizefighter, but that one there," Chad motions to Jallmur, "may have a good shot."
"The Wand of Wonder is in possession of a wizard at his shop, Balthorr's Rare and Wonderous Treasure in the Castle Ward in district 13. Somewhere inside the building is a spiral maze. Well, not so much a maze, but a tunnel that works its way into a spiral. This maze is filled with traps and in the center is the wand, or so I have heard. Not much is known about how to get to the maze."
"The Mace of Disruption is in an underground chamber below Jardeth villa, a small house in the North Ward in district 21. I have not found anyone that knows how to enter the chamber below the house. You will have to do some investigating on your own. Seems anyone that has tried has not returned."
(Districts will make more sense after my next posting with the map. Any questions about these items?)
Skeekbad just wants to become good enough at sneaking that she can change her nickname to sneak-good. But she will settle for riches enough to make her clan suck up to her. When Chad manifests the deck of many things with prestidigitation, she immediately turns into a cat, climbs up to the table, and tries to leap up and grasp it from his hands. She makes a confused noise and her eyes go wide with surprise when she cannot take it but eventually turns back to herself again and is sitting on the table.
How can we give you something you already have if you wont let us have it?
She sits on the edge of the table and leans a chin into her hand pensively.
As everyone negotiates their contracts, the words on the page magically change to your desired wish.
Gizzmo changes the wording from "a random location on another plane" to "his workshop"
Add also a clockwork Raven.
He'll sign if he can negotiate that.
"One for the small print, eh? I can appreciate that." Chad gives Gizzmo a wink. The contract rewrites itself to include the clockwork raven and "bonus airship plans."

"This is what it should look like! I don't have it quite yet. I wouldn't want you mistaking another plain deck of cards for this magic item. If it were that easy, I'd have no need for your sneaky services, right?"
"If no one has any questions about the extra loot, we'll move on."
"I drew these up myself. They should help out a lot." Chad passes out maps of Waterdeep done up to mark the wards (outlined in red), districts (marked by a green district number) and locations of the treasure (marked by the blue dots). To move between districts, the district must touch the district you are currently in. Diagonal moves are allowed where applicable. Each move needs to be decided together before you move. When you post your suggested direction, also post a stealth roll. A group stealth check will determine if you go unnoticed or spotted by the city guard. The DC will increase with the more you steal, drawing more heat from the city guard.
With Wensa's urchin background, you all are allowed to move two spaces at a time.
(example: I want to move from district 14 to 50. Stealth: 17)
"Going unnoticed will allow you to move into the new district without incident.
If spotted by the city guard, they will give chase. You will have to make a run for it from district to district." If spotted, you all decide a direction together without rolling another stealth check. The guards will then roll a d20 to determine if they can follow your tracks. If they track you through 3 districts, they will grab one of you. On a 20, they will grab you automatically. On a 1, you'll be able to move to any district you'd like.
"I recommend you stay out of the City of the Dead. If you do not have family buried they, the undead that protects the grounds will attack you."

Wensa pulls a scroll case out of her pack and takes out a map of her own. The map is old and worn. Covered in stains and tears. Wensa begins making marks on it indicating the locations of their targets. There are numerous other markings on the map though none are writing, just various symbols and shapes.
“What sort of map do you have there? Anything interesting?” Chad looks of the map trying to dicipher what Wensa’s map looks like.
Skeekbad takes the map greedily and places it on the floor. She takes a handful of goblin knuckle bones from a pouch hanging from her neck and rolls them onto the map and studies them carefully. She shakes her ceremonial spear over the map then scoops up the knuckle bones and places them back in the pouch. She carefully folds the map and it disappears somewhere beneath her boar's skin cloak.
I have talked to the bones and they tell me that the feather fall ring can help us escape from the spire and that detecting our enemies will help us escape capture and death, maybe.
Gizzmo is peering at the map as well. "Traveling undetected will be important and your observations Skeekbad are sound. Do we have a place to plan while in Waterdeep ?"

"There are plenty of sewer pipes to hid out in. Goblins are not very welcome in Waterdeep, so it's best if you stay out of sight. You may be able to find a tavern or inn in the dock ward."
Chad stands up with his glass of wine. “Follow me if you will.” Chad walks over to the aquarium and removes his wand. Chad taps the glass with the tip of his wand. A doorway appears in the glass and Chad walks you down a spiral staircase. The staircase opens into a large well lit room. “Quinlan! Quinlan! Come over here. We have visitors.” A gnome in goggles and a fancy vest comes over to you. Other gnomes are scattered around the room working on various gadgets and vehicles.
”I am Quinlan. This is my shop, codenamed Q Branch. Here, incredible inventions are created. We have a few items we are going to outfit you all with.” Quinlan snaps his fingers and a gnome runs to each of you holding a small piece of cloth. All pieces are patchwork red, teal and brown leather. They push the cloth pocket into one of your existing pockets. Each removes a sewing needle, fastening the pocket in your pocket. “This is a shared bag of holding. We have found a workaround to separate the bag into many pieces that interact with one another. Whatever is placed inside can be accessed by anyone else in your team.” Chad steps in for a moment. “When a magic item is reclaimed, place it in the pocket to avoid damage and allow others to use the items.”
The gnome takes you over to a table littered with small gadgets. Quinlan reaches up and grabs a silver rod with ornate horses on each end. “This here is the immovable rod. Place it where you want it, press the button and it will remain in place.” Quinlan demonstrates how it works and places it back on the table.
“Now this! This is something spooky.” Quinlan grabs a flute made of two bones lashed together.“Does anyone here know how to play? These are the pipes of haunting. A good thing to strike fear into those around you.”
Chad picks up a pair of round smooth tan stones. Chad sits one down in front of you all on the table. Upon closer inspection, you can see the profile of a face carved into it. "This is how we will communicate. These are sending stones. If you ever need anything, I can be reached by speaking into the stone." (These basically act as long range walkie talkies.)
"Last but not least, I call these feather fall packs," Quinlan says as he pulls out a very slender, but tall (2 feet tall), backpack. They're a green canvass material with a metal external frame. On one of the shoulder straps is a red handle. "For them to work, you will have to pull this red handle here as you are falling." Quinlan pulls the handle and a telescoping rod extends out the top and a red canopy, nearly 20 feet in diameter, opens up (basically a beach umbrella attached to a backpack). "The canopy on the ones you will be issued is made of a new, nearly clear material to avoid detection. They will also self destruct after they are removed from your person."
As one of the gnomes approaches her with a needle, Skeekbad backs up and hisses at them baring her teeth, but when she sees that the others are allowing the gnomes to stitch the bag of holding in place, she allows the gnome to do so to one of the outer pockets of her cloak. She tests it out by greedily shoving all of her new equipment into the pocket of holding.
