You find a familiar face, though not one whose name you remember. Us, Puddin? No, dear. We just arrived. We'll leave soon enough, but give us a few days to shake off the dust of the road.
This, he jerks his thumb toward the crew from the campfire the night before, isn't our clan. Good fellows, and I shared some drink with them last night, but not us.
Most of you are busy with real life things for the rest of this week, and one of you, at least, is out for next week. If things go a little slower that's ok. But if 3 of you want to see Madam Eva, I can deal with that, too. Whatever you want.
Barnaby will find something sad to eat at the bottom of his pack and chew thoughtfully, “Nah, we can talk to Madam Eva without him, we’ll fill him in later. We already know that he won’t trust her.”

Barring objection, I'll take you three to Madam Eva tomorrow. I thought we'd get there today, but we didn't get much done. Heaven knows a slow day is ok with me, mixed in with the rest of it.
Will one of you be around this evening, at about 9:00? I'd like the opportunity to get a few posts back and forth, if possible. Barnaby, Kif, or Puddin. Or any combination.
Tentatively, Puddin, Barnaby, and Kif approach Madam Eva's tent. One by one they shuffle in, and their eyes adjust to the bright colors and heavy fabrics within.
Magic flames cast a reddish glow over the interior of this tent, revealing a low table covered in a black velvet cloth. Glints of light seem to flash from a crystal ball on the table as a hunched figure peers into its depths. As the crone speaks, her voice crackles like dry weeds. “At last you have arrived!” Cackling laughter bursts like mad lightning from her withered lips.
His journey to this camp was apparently much different than ours, he just got here this morning, very wounded and exhausted, unable to attend us here. we have tried to make him comfortable
She draws out a deck of unusual cards. They are worn, with images on them in black and white. She separates the deck into two piles, and rearranges each pile in some sort of shuffling rhythm. She gestures to the table in front of her.
This is the "common deck," she explains. This deck will tell you where to find three powerful tools in the fight against Strahd. Are you prepared to see?
If you say yes, she turns over the top card and lays it at the 9:00 position of an imaginary clock dial.
The "common deck" is the deck of numbered cards. What did you get?

Puddin goes up to one of Stanimir's crew. Leaving so soon? Where are you headed?
Slight misunderstanding here.

In blue: I wanna see Madam Eva!

In blue: works for me, thanks
Ok. Apologies for the delay, but it will take some work for me to set the scene. I'll get to it.

I should be
Ok. It would be good if at least one person is. Thanks!
Dave, get a deck of playing cards, please.
wow, random request, fortunately I have the limited edition grateful dead built to last deck handy
Good. Separate the face cards + jokers from the cards with numbers on them, please. Shuffle each stack separately. We'll come back to them.
aces count as face?

Barnaby, little gnome, so far from family. Your children love you, little dear. They just don't need you right now. You mustn't worry so much.
And Puddin. What happened to Molly was not your fault.
And here is Kif Cragheart, handsome sergeant and breaker of walls. Welcome to my tent, one and all.
And yet, we are missing one. Little Fope - of everyone you have met, she is the only one to pronounce his name the same way he does - where is he?
She pauses, and blinks her eyes.
Well, he needs the rest. I will speak with him when he awakens.
Shall I read your fortunes?

Please I would like to see what you read as my fortune
