Rethanleads the way down a straight corridor to a second door, which leads into a room that Morphhas seen before, at least through Lucy'seyes. In the room, they find a headless stone statue of a nude woman half-buried in stone debris at the north end of the partially collapsed hall.
(Wow, I totally missed this post and was waiting for people. My bad!)
Digging through the rubble, Morphfinds the head of the statue, which resembles the head of a cobra with its fangs bared. Nothing magical or otherwise curious or dangerous appears to be in the room.
Titus kicks around some rubble and scoffs at the petty findings, “I sure this was a beautiful place once, but it isn’t much anymore... let us proceed.” He dons his shield and continues to wind through the halls.
(Are we able to proceed East from this room? I can’t quite tell if there is a door based on the map.)
Titus leads the way through the double doors into a new hallway that immediately splits, heading south or east. To the south the passage appears to further split in two directions heading both east and west.
As Titusleads the group down the passageway westward, they marvel at the flickering tallow candles lighting the way. They each float in shallow niches along the walls. The candles produce heat but no smoke. Although wax runs down the sides of the candles, it never drips off them onto the niche, nor do the candles ever seem to be diminished or consumed. Also, the corridor is conspicuously free of dust and debris.
Eventually, Titusarrives at another intersection. To the north is a door that does not appear to be locked. To the west, the passage ends in a dead end. To the south, the passage travels for about 30 feet and turns east.
"Hmm. Conspicuously clean. Perhaps the purview of some particularly fastidious bandits, or an ooze of some stripe? I wouldn't think it a challenge, though I am curious about why the passage extends beyond the obvious intersection... a secret passage? A horrible trap? Oh well! Won't know till we try!"
Feeling much refreshed from their rest, Atuan speaks lightly, almost chatteringly, as they descend further into the dungeon.
"A deeper kind of magic, then? These things were whispered about by some priests I've met, but always in hushed tones. A magic that cannot be controlled is answerable to none, and certainly will end poorly. Still, it doesn't seem to be hurting anyone, just yet. Shall we continue?"

Titus finds no evidence of desecration or anything other fey or fiendish or celestial work. Rethan finds only moldy old bones.
Morph refreshes his detect magic, and scans around the room for any tell-tail signs of magic.
Perception check to check the room for anything unnoticed along with anything magical: 6
(also, its no problem MindDetective, this game is worth waiting for)

(Unless morph detects something magical)
Rethan pokes around a moment longer than shrugs. "Guess we keep moving?"
Morph does not detect anything magical in the room.
"Right then, nothing interesting here, well, that I can see anyway."
Morph indicates the door in the south east corner of the room.
"Shell we?"

Rethan takes the lead this time, heading to the southeast door and into the next room.

"Oh, we've come around in a circle."
"This is the room that was south of the central crossroads. The passage that warned of danger."
Morph scans the room with his magical detection senses, before having a look at the statue more closely.
Perception check of the room: 4
Investigation check on the statue: 16

Yes, double doors lead East.
Titus leads the way through the double doors into a new hallway that immediately splits, heading south or east. To the south the passage appears to further split in two directions heading both east and west.
Titus enters the passage to the south and then carefully proceeds west. He moves slowly and holds his shield tightly as they march.

"You know, I think these candles aren't burning down."
Morph refreshes his Detect Magic, giving the candles and their niches a quick once over, to see if magic is involved and where it is coming from.

Indeed, the candles float magically. Though it is hard to tell what school of magic enchants them, it is definitely not dark magic of any kind.
Morph waves his hand at the nearest candle, casting Prestidigitation, attempting to put out the candle.
