Nara Ayeme walks into the three legged spider. She quietly asks around for a form to compete and spends the rest of her time going through a smoothed and practiced kata in an unoccupied space.
A dark-skinned human walks into the tavern, wearing the hide of a monstrous reptile and necklace of large teeth. He has a oak shield on his back and a knotted club fastened to his belt. His clothing is dark He has a slight build, but moves with deftness as he avoids any close contact with the rowdy patrons. He approaches the bar and interrupts the barkeep in mid-conversation.
I am Uguntootu of the Agarthari tribe. I have traveled far to test myself and bring honor to my people. Where will I find the master of the Arena?
Olwen after waking, returns to the Three-Legged Spider.
Hmm, yet another failure. Oh well, there will always be more opportunities to fail in the future...

A cloaked figure hands a form to both Nara and Uguntootu.
Larry, the dwarf who runs Bloodkith's (he introduces himself as Murmen Bloodkith) gives you your half plate for the token, and will take your old armor for 25 gp (roll any Charisma skill to try and get a better price).
Murmen is an old, red haired dwarf, with a chain mail glove that seems to have been melted on to his hand.

Larry bows deeply to the dwarf. "Thank you kind sir. May the Darklord smile on your house and bless you"
Larry will draw an arcane symbol in the air and speak words of power. (casting Guidance on himself)
"Perhaps kind sir, you could be persuaded to increase your offer slightly, based on the fine workmanship and the fact that it is hardly used. Certainly I will include a nice polishing and oiling to give it a good shine"
”Well, I spose it is a nice piece o’ work, lad. I ken give ye 35 for it, polish and oiling not included. I ken do that meself, ain’t got much else to do.”

The first time the Gith had entered the tavern, it had been all business and rushed inquiries into the Arena. The same could be said of the second time. But on the third, the messy-haired wizard in the silver half-plate walked at a more relaxed pace, and truely took in all that was there to offer. And in turn others could see him in all his green-yellow glory. Despite the thick woolen clothing and armor, what portions of his well-built physique and minute scars to the face spoke volumes of a previous profession. That, and he carried the claymore and several other arms on his person like a male ready more for war than study. No insignia's can be found on his person save a brooch bearing the mark of Oghma.
Not that any need much to pick him out of the crowd, as he was -- as far as he could tell -- the only of his ilk around. Though he tilted his slitted nose in interest towards the kitchen, it is the noticeboard he goes to first to check things out. "Mel... Mela... Meliamne's Marvelous... Magical... Merchandise?"He cants his head. "The more I see, the more I find questions... Heh... I made the right decisions."He looks a little closer for directions to Mel's, then makes his way there to browse.

(You should make that note anyways. All of the NPCs in this town are level 20 characters, and you'd be tangling with a level 20 Bladedancer/Fighter multiclass.)
(Some of them are even from campaigns I had to drop out of. For instance, Murmen Bloodkith of Bloodkith's dwarven armaments is a Forge Domain cleric that used to be part of a homebrew campaign that Phadeout101 was also in. The Grave Domain cleric (pale elf in the corner of the tavern) is from a CoS PbP I had to drop out of that Bobo was also in.)
(However, the bartender and his son, as well as Latrius are completely unique NPCs. The reason that I have char sheets for them is that they also function as Arena fill in NPCs, so you could end up with a level whatever Latrius Markon clone on your team.)
(You could even be unlucky enough to end up with a level one Og on your team. Or unlucky enough to end up with a level 7 Og on the opposing team, it's all up to the dice.)
(Not all of the possible NPCs are Sorcadins, don't worry.)

Larry stretches his legs and enjoys a drink at the spider....before heading off with his token to armor up at Bloodkith's Dwarven Armaments.
Larry will ask about upgrading to Half Plate with the token as well as seeing if he can trade in his scale mail for some gold.
