J-94 thanks Murmen for the service and follows the competitors to the bar and sits at a table on his own and pulls out a set of dice and puts 1 GP down on the table and waits for someone to walk up
Nara Ayeme quietly walks up to the new fella's table and puts down a gold. She smiles but doesn't speak as she brushes her hair behind her pointed ears. You can still see she is wearing the dirty torn bloodstained rags from her fight in the arena. Somehow it suits her. Her forest green eyes sparkle with curiosity at the dice on the the table.
"Welcome to my table...my name is J-94, what is your name? Would you like to play a game and possibly win gold?
J-94 rolls 4d20 "Each of these is a giant"
Passes Nara 5d4 "These are your adventurers. The sum of them will be faced against a giant."
"To keep your gold you have to defeat 2 giants, if you defeat 3 giants you gain my gold, if you defeat 4 giants you win 2 gold. However, if you are unable to defeat two giants I get your gold piece."
Nara Ayeme points to herself and speaks her name in a slow and practiced tone in common. So much so you are pretty much sure she doesn't understand the language. Still her eyes follow yours and the movements of your hands with the precision of a hawk.
She grabs the dice from J-94 and rolls 14
Her eyes beam at the result. She smiles and waits patiently for what happens next.
Henry rides in, but not on Mule. More like a fancy walk. He brushes his horse. Shh, shh.... it alright, it’s alright. Let’s go get some armor, and we’ll discuss strategies so that you don’t get hurt. He walks up to the smith. Any chance I could have some Plate Mail? Please, that’d be nice.

After a brief, but no less harrowing fight among graves, Nirzeg slept like the dead himself. Awakening the next day, and following the summoning of Tolvin, he hits up serpent crusher for 10 flasks of oil, if any. Though if not, its not the end of the world. He just bows formally in thanks either way on his way out to Meliamne's.
"Sir Meliamne, you.. you wouldn't happen to be in the business of sparring? I would turn to the other competitors, but I wish to keep what I'm after under the table for a while longer. I need to get my timing right on a trick that my old mentor had taught my squad." He requests. Either after or before, he also purchase the Magic Missile scroll if still available.

J-94 looks at Nara condused by her confusion. “Your dice represent heroes fighting giants, my dice represent giants. You will have to retool yours every time you defeat a giant. You rolled a 14 first roll, I recommend choosing the 14 giant to defeat. Roll again to see if you can beat one of these other giants.
This is game teaches us that fighting as a team even though each member is week makes a strong group that can defeat even massive giants.
Ludithas can't help you with druid scrolls, but he directs you to a small tent made out of large leaves. A firbolg in the tent shows you a small collection of scrolls:
Anyone who can cast spells and has proficiency in a skill that would assist in making a scroll (Arcana for Wizards, Nature for Druids etc.) can make one following this table:

Nara looks at J-94, and remember's her master teaching her the basics but not with numbers. She points to the number of dice on the table and taps it 8 times. Before she can explain more she is called into another fight. In that moment you see a determined spark ignite in her eyes and its spirit unites you both as she walks away.

Taking the offered hand the cleric smiles at Henry - "It was a good fight, maybe next time you will get a hit in with those lances and I'll wake up here. I'm sure it is only a matter of time." Calling over to the barman Njal shouts "Ale for every fighter who wants it, glory to Tempus, Lord of Battles!"

Ugunootu walks into the tavern after recuperating and gives a solemn nod to his competitors, obviously frustrated by the outcome of the last battle.
He buys a drink from the bar, lifts his drink, and gestures to the patrons,
”To the will of Nature.”
Uninterested in armor or weapons, he inquires about what scrolls he might buy with his newly acquired 40gp.
