Brair giggles, "that is a switch, I usually get complimented on my beauty, and not my charm or kindness!" Holding her forefinger up to her mouth as to signify a whisper or a secret she says in a hushed tone, "Briar is just a nickname I got when I and a childhood friend of mine were known as Bramble and Briar. My father doesn't approve of my still using it now that I am no longer a child... but my name, my real name is Rowena Rhaine, the youngest child and daughter of Ser Cedric Rhaine but please just call me Briar, less muss and fuss that way... especially around others who don't know who I am or that I am out slumming it with the common folk as my father refers to them, not you of course. I worry that if I use my real name in my little adventures, that someone will tell my father and he will put a stop to it."
Ragnir: (to Briar) "No, you can consider me part of the common folk, clan Strongheart is not very big or prominent, we certainly are not nobility. I am fine with that, i never craved political power or prestige. Are you your father's heir?"

Briar smiles at Ragnir, "you and your clan are wise beyond words but it is my experience that those with power tend to desperately cling to it... thus I feel a need to expand my horizons a bit away from the prying eyes of other nobles and gain another perspective and be free. I trust then that you will keep my little secret? But to answer your question, no I am not my father's heir, I have three older brothers in line ahead of me!"
Briar moves closer to Ragnir, "now look who is being kind, you softie you!" She genuinely smiles at the dwarf, "I think you and I are going to be fast friends. If you will excuse me I need to go and grab my pack that I left on the bunk before we leave. And I want to stop back at the apple barrel and fill up my pack with some apples to have on the trip so I am not too much of a mooch or a bother over rations. So I will be right back, so don't leave without me."
Before we leave the library: "Hmm... I guess Y'llvon didn't fancy my question about breaking the law."
Hermenor stays quiet for most of the walk, until the party reaches the market area. Once he is told to not spend a lot of money, he looks into his pack and judges that he has enough rations for the trip. His slender frame lends itself to a small appetite, so he won't need much to eat.
He will, however, accompany Briar back to their room. Once there, he grabs a broom from a corner and ties it to his pack. Turning to the lady, he asks: "Ready to go?"
A sea shanty plays in his head as they walk back to meet Ragnir and Priton.
Briar smiles at Hermenor and his comment about his question and the law, "well don't take his failure to respond at face value, I think he just doesn't care much for me but it's all good, I'm used to it, I can be rather off-putting to some but I am trying to work on that."
When heading back for her backpack and apples she welcomes Hermenor's company! She collects her pack and apples but looks on as Hermenor grabs a broom, "yes, I am ready to go, thank you, but what is broom for?"
Once rejoining the others if there is nothing then well had for their little shopping trip and from setting off ((when all is said and done and everyone ready no rush)) on their journey, the whole Briar chatting mindlessly getting to know her companions better...

Briar walks up behind Ragnir and leans over ever so silently towards him and whispers in his ear, "or we could go for a wagon but if your preference is for a donkey or such, I understand. I was hoping the Guild might have a ***** Vardo Wagon or something like that available for us to use but those are exceeding rare these days but very comfortable when traveling."
Then turning to others who may be assembled and asks politely of all, "Do we have any tents and such as we well as rations for the entire group or is it a case of every man for himself type of affair? Honestly, I don't understand a Guild that would bestow such marvelous and wonderful sign-up bonus gifts then to be miserly on basic traveling necessities like food and shelter since they are being kind of enough to provide a variety of transport options?"
OOC: Whatever the group decides I am good... if a wagon then Briar will happily ride in or on it but should everyone wants their own mount or whatever then she willing to go that route. So if Ragnir has to take a donkey then Briar being 5' and 90 pounds will take a donkey as well so that he will not be the only one on one of those. Note that is her way of trying to be polite! :)
Ragnir: (to the party) "I don't have a tent, just a bed roll. I suspect the guild thought us seasoned adventurers that we would have all the common supplies of adventuring. we only really need a tent if it rains or snows, nothing wrong with there being nothing between us and the stars at night. At least in my experience, but i also don't camp out all that much."

Hermenor votes for a wagon as well. He would feel a lot more comfortable on a wooden structure at sea and a wagon resembles that more closely than an animal does.
Also, he suggests they all pitch in for a family style tent.
Otis scratches his and raises his eyebrow and leaves. After a short while he comes up on a wagon while driving two donkeys in the front and two horses in the back. The emblem of a GG inside a circle and with floral pattern shines in a silver hue contrasting against the dark wood. In the wagon you see standard supplies: some rope, a tent, various sacks, etc.
”this should do it, ya?”
As you disembark the flatland around the city, barren of trees slowly and cobblestone road slowly transitions to more natural surroundings. You begin to hear birds in the air, the road becomes dirt, trees and patches of woods begin to form. By the end of the day of travel seems wholly uneventful. The cool air begins to nip as the skies begin to turn dark. After a full 8 hours of travel, what would you like to do.
(feel free to describe yourself during the journey if you wish. After this we will fast forward a bit)

I will get on one of the horses watching around for anyone or anything out of place. Once we set up and stop I will use Purify Food and Drink on all of our rations

“I’m looking for... someone. I thought the guild would be my best chance of coming across useful information on my search.”
Hermenor sings a shanty while on the wagon:
Oh, blow the man down, bullies, blow the man down! To me way-aye, blow the man down. Oh, Blow the man down, bullies, blow him right down! Give me some time to blow the man down!
As I was a-walking down Paradise Street, To me way-aye, blow the man down. A pretty young damsel I chanced for to meet. Give me some time to blow the man down!
She was round in the counter and bluff in the bow, So I took in all sail and cried “Way enough now.”
I hailed her in Elvish, she answered me clear, “I’m from the Black Arrow bound to the Shake Spear.”
So I tailed her my flipper and took her in tow, And yardarm to yardarm away we did go.
But as we were going she said unto me, “There’s a spanking full-rigger just ready for sea.”
That spanking full-rigger to New Village was bound; She was very well manned and very well found.
But soon as that packet was clear of the bar, The mate knocked me down with the end of a spar,
And as soon as that packet was out on the sea, `Twas devilish hard treatment of every degree.
So I give you fair warning before we belay; Don’t never take heed of what pretty girls say.
Briar listens to everyone's reasons for joining the guild and eventually chimes in after Hermenor finishes his song of course, "well to be totally honest with you all, I joined the Guild to put a little distance between myself and my betrothed, Lord Melchett the Mountain... you know the first Knight of the Realm... Mad Melchett I think people call him but not to his face, never to his face... at least those with any sense. He is currently cooling his heels in the King's Dungeon, a sort of a time out but the King will never keep him there, not for long. Someone like Melchett is much too valuable to execute for killing a few peasants.
The stylish noble girl leans back in the back of the wagon wind blowing through her raven hair after a brief pause continues her tale, "he is insanely jealous you know. Last week I was innocently dining with some lowborn acquaintances in a tavern, maybe you've heard of it, The Rutting Rabbit, enjoying a perfectly cooked rabbit stew with onions, turnips, and potatoes when Mad Melchett bursts in out of nowhere and accuses me of fornicating with every male seated at the table with me... the look on his face... like some raving lunatic! I, of course, proclaimed my innocence, but he would not hear of it! A battle ensued between one ogre-sized maniac armed with a great two-handed enchanted battle-ax and five relatively unarmed men!"
Briar pauses as if remembering or reliving the scene in her mind then continues, "well to be fair they were armed with the table's cutlery. If one is not careful you can put an eye out with a soup spoon. Anyway, it was not much of a battle as in under a minute my betrothed slew them all! Two... he beheaded right off and those were the lucky ones. Blood everywhere, ruined a perfectly good dress too, sad that, I really liked that dress! Anyway dear gentleman, that is why I joined the guild! Melchett is due to be released tomorrow and I am sure there is no way he can track me. I was very discreet and circumspect when I entered the Guild today, I am certain that no that knows me saw me enter. So have no fear... you are all perfectly safe. It is not like he is going burst in on us in the middle of the night, with me, an innocent young maiden sleeping in a family-sized tent alongside three handsome virile men."
