One semi-quibble - I'd said Erric was looking around the room and physically under the bed as things got started and the apparition revealed itself, so wouldn't he be more in the room? The quibble is would, perhaps, Erric have an attack of opportunity on the ghost as she beelines for Jambiya? Totally fine if the answer is no but I wanted to ask!
OOC: A side-effect of PbP. I didn't interpret your post as doing more than stepping in and looking around the room. The only piece of "furniture" you mentioned was the door. Jambiya specifically said she stepped to the side of the bed. You should have said something when the map was first posted. Let's keep things the way they are.
Erric will move to defiantly stand over Jambiya's form, pulling out the silvered rapier. "Stop! Hurting! My! Friends!" he says, as he tries to hit the ghost with the rapier.
Attack: 9 Damage: 10
Using his last luck to reroll the attack (not sure if you need another damage roll): luck attack 12
OOC: Lucky, you are! And, no, I'll use the original damage roll.
Erric moves up beside Jambiya (E3), pulling out the silvered rapier. "Stop! Hurting! My! Friends!" he says, thrusting forward with the rapier. As it enters the creature, it seems to almost sizzle, and the creature jerks back, looking with wide eyes at the halfling.
Maldorn, you're up! The creature has 1/2 cover from where you are, and you are frightened, so you cannot move toward the creature.
(OOC: Sharpshooter Maldorn has little regard for half-cover! Also, do I get another save against being frightened at the end of my turn?)
Shivering a bit, Maldorn yells: "Let us get away from this apparition!" Though he truly wants to run, the old ranger will wait for his companions to agree before turning tail. He then halfheartedly releases the arrow he has been holding against his bowstring for the last few seconds (I would like to use my unused attack roll from post#517, if allowed. I'll copy it below and add an extra roll for the disadvantage).
OOC: Just reread. Maldorn was over his fear by his turn. It only lasts one round, so it ended at the end of the creature's turn where it/she attacked Jambiya. Sorry! Maldorn, would you like to move into the room? The 9 still doesn't hit, but you could be closer to the action. I can update that when you respond.
Maldorn fires an arrow at the creature, but Erric's attack causes it/her to pull back, and the hunter's arrow lands in the wall right where she had been less than a second before.
Anafrey, you're up! Maldorn might have moved past you into the room.
Jambiya, go ahead and make your first death saving throw.
Jambiya slides a little further toward the bright light.
DM rollz: 5
The creature, whose eyes are still trained on Erric, reaches out and attempts to touch the halfling. (Touch attack: 18, damage: 7 necrotic damage) The etherealness of the creature makes it difficult for the bard to dodge the attack, and he suddenly feels himself losing consciousness.
Erric, roll a CON saving throw, please. And your first death saving throw.
(OOC: guess I should have used my last Luck not for that last sparky-effective rapier attack, but to make the ghost re-roll that attack. Though knowing how poorly we are rolling and how well our foes are rolling, the reroll would have been a natural 20.)
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
"No running!" Maldorn feels bravery filling his veins once again after seeing two of his companions fall.
"Knifeshitters, is there anything you can do to bring them back?" He asks Anafrey, almost knowing the answer and hoping his next arrow doesn't fly through the apparition.

Role-playing since that keep on those borderlands. Here's my D&D stuff. I love it so.

-> extra roll for disadvantage: 3
(OOC: In case I do get a CHA save at the end of my turn, here it is: 4)
(OOC: Not that Erric's rolling great but geez Maldorn are you sure your d20s are allowed to hit double digits??)

(OOC: Did Anafrey eat any of the berries? Or was that obliviated in the retcon? If she hasn't, has it been 24 hours since the goodberry spell?)
It is still the same day, amazingly enough.
Maldorn will not move into the room just yet.
[oof sorry I thought I had already responded to this]
Anafrey draws her second shortsword and throws herself at Jambiya's attacker, a snarl on her lips.

Anafrey leaps up onto the bed (F3) and swings both swords at their foe. Both swords slide through the creature, seeming to hit, but also to not hit.

Erric slips a step closer to the light.
