"Sova wishes to continue to the village, as does the lady Roselina. I see no reason to investigate a windmill. We have plenty of daylight left. Let us follow the trail to the village."
Vrak will then move north on the trail following the sign to the village.
Roselina was glad as Quilrith had agreed with her while they kept going on until they got to another fork, the west pointing to a windmill and the north going to Vallaki. Then she was hearing Vrakvroth talk about seeking shelter in the windmill, shaking her head. "We have no idea what is in that windmill, especially at night. It could be too dangerous to try to sleep there, so we can wait until morning to investigate the windmill." she had said back to him. At least Sova also wanted to go to Vallaki, knowing that really she just did not want to try to sleep in some run down windmill. Roselina smiled as Vrakvroth realized that it would be better to keep heading toward Vallaki, following behind.
Ebur shuffles along behind the others, but adds: I agree with the Lady, although I do not think we shall reach the village before nightfall. If I recall, the road ahead draws nigh to a large lake, and camping by the lakeside may be safer than camping on the road surrounded with forest.

How does a red dragon blow out the candles on its birthday cake?
Quilrith goes silence once more, happy to go along with the parties decision, he slowly drops back around 10 feet from the others keeping an eye on the rear and the sides of the path leading further into the wilderness.
The Old Slavich road continues to follow the edge of the surrounding woods, and as you follow it, it turns to the east to continue skirting the edge of the forest before entering it further east down the road. The Lake nearby could be reached more quickly through the dense forest at this point, but the fogs and trees make for that to be a risky endeavor that could end with people getting lost. The entire forest apart from the roads shrouded in the endless fog. At about 3:30pm equivalent, you arrive at the point where the path turns east.
Tucked into a fallen tree log, hanging out slightly is a a leather-wrapped bundle.
"Sneakier than a fox that has been awarded the medal of sneakiness at the college of sneaks!"
Quilrith announces from Just behind Vrak, before calmly walking towards the fallen f tree log. He stops, picks up a handful of dirt and scatters it towards the trunk, watching as it settles, seeing the slight wind blow it gently. Looking for signs of traps, or anything to indicate the bundle may be dangerous, (investigation 19) He sniffs the air, and slowly stalks towards the log (Stealth 24)
(OOC: Hey GM, if I want to help another PC's skill check using Enhance Ability can I say so after their roll? I know it's kinda cheating if I already see that they've failed, but there's not much choice when we roll in advance, and perhaps it's okay as long as I do it before you describe the outcome.)

How does a red dragon blow out the candles on its birthday cake?
Not sensing anything untoward other than the rolling mists Quilrith moves forwards concealed, and picks up the bundle carefully before darting back to the others and inspecting the contents.
((Ebur: As long as it is declared before the result, as it is play by post, I will allow you to say after the roll is made, but before the results of the roll are known))
Quilrith approaches the package and goes to inspect it. Inside is a bundle of drab looking clothes, which are typically worn by local Barovians, there is hardly any color in them, and are rather bland.
(OOC: A week later we find some naked Barovian peasant searching the land for their trousers - LOL)
While the party continues travelling, Ebur approaches Sova and asks if he can see the clothing. Rather than simply inspecting them, Ebur immediately tries to put them on to see if they will fit him. If so, he casually discards his tattered, mouldy green robe - but keeps the mask on.
Quilrith once again follows the party, watching as Ebur's strange behaviour continues. He casts furtive glances at the strange rolling mists that surround them.
Vrak waits a moment, thinking in his head.

Sova scouts ahead to make sure the area is clear.
Perception:15
He doesn't go further than 25ft away from the group.

Tucked into a fallen tree log, hanging out slightly is a a leather-wrapped bundle.
Vrak stops as the item is spied.
"Well, Quilrith , are you as sneaky as I think you are? How about you go retrieve that leather-wrapped bundle and we see what it is?"

Sova attempts to keep a trained eye on the area surrounding the bundle, notching an arrow incase something comes out toward Quilrith.
Perception: 14
Keeping an eye out for anything suspicious, the mists roll right up to just behind the log, but don't get any closer.
Ebur waits and watches the others

Quilrith tosses the bundle to Sova, "Odd it seems to just be some Barovians dirty laundry, let me check the log."
He looks into the opening in the log searching for any hidden items or a compartment he might of missed.
Investigation 18
Having a look through the log, the rest of it is hollow, and Quilrith doesn't find anything else of note.
Seeing what it is Vark remarks
"Well you might as well hold into it and maybe the mystery of why such a thing is hidden there will become clear in the future. Let us continue on."
Sova catches the bundle and puts it into his pack.

Sova gives the clothing to Ebur, suggestimg it may be useful for blending in if necessary.
