The goblin is speaking a mix of common and goblin. You are all able to understand the gist of what he's saying.
Thank you master, you are so kind, Droop will be a good servant to you. The key, the key opens the doors. The jail doors and the room with weapons. He points north-east. Maybe all the doors, but I don't know.
Nate then remembers that telepathic freak in the cavern earlier and decides to ask Droop about it:
"Droop - we came across a very strange creature in the big dark cavern out that way that seemed to be able to talk to us through our minds. We didn't see much of it other than a few large spikes coming out of its body. Do you know what the heck that thing is??"
Droop squeals in alarm and cowers on the floor for a moment, hiding his face in his hands. Eye monster. It eats and eats and eats. Old Masters and Red Men gave it food, gave it people to chew. It listens to my thoughts and laughs at me. It works for the big boss - for Glasstaff. Even the masters don't like to go through there. It listens to them, too.
Addressing the rest of the party, Leo's voice betrays his fear at what he has learned from Droop, [Common] "It a-appears as t-though there may be more to these Redbrands than we first t-thought. Droop, the g-goblin here, has mentioned that there might be... that is to say t-there i-is... some f-form of creature tha-that t-they have mmm-ade a pact with... S-something with an in-insatiable hun-hunger..."
Leo steels his mind before continuing, "Droop here also mentions a Glasstaff, who is the big boss / leader here."
Returns his gaze towards Droop, Leo speaks to the fearful Goblin, [Goblin] "Droop, is there any way you might guide us to this Glasstaff?
Delmon steps just inside of the room, "Ask him if there are any secret passageways, ones that we could fit through. I doubt we could use any tighter spaces that he could crawl through. If we could, what do you all think of resting before we go? Sounds like the rest of this place is very dangerous."
Nate's eyes widen in fear as he listens to the goblin's half common half goblin description of the beast in the cavern along with Leo's explanation. Nate's scared.
"Delmon... I'd definitely be interested in taking a little sit down here. By the sounds of it we haven't even seen the worst of it yet. We need to prepare."
Nate doesn't really need to rest, he's more trying to put off what might be next for the party in fear and trying to hide it.
"Were you thinking we should leave and come back another day? Or have a quick sit down here?"
Droop replies, still in the broken half-common half-goblin: Glasstaff is scary. Magic man. Please don't make me go to him. He lives there; he points north.
He nods in answer to Delmon's question. Yes, secrets. Secrets doors,, big ones; he points east, north-east and north. I know them.
He looks back at Leo: I answered good, right? You won't beat me? Please?
"We should take the prisoners while we can before going for the boss, but the problem is this creature if it hears our thoughts and report back to the boss escaping wont go smoothly" Brom said standing up he looked at the bugbear leader morning star inspecting it. Is it just a normal morning star?
It is a normal morningstar, quite ugly and not in the greatest condition. You're not sure you could find a buyer for it, but it would serve well enough as a regular morningstar if you want to keep it for use.
Nate's been standing outside the room thinking hard about something and then you see him almost barge into the room after Brom mentions the creature.
"Guys.... I haven't heard... you know, that thing in my mind since we left that cavern. I don't think it can hear our thoughts anymore. I think we need to be near it for it to have that power. So.... I was thinking we could try and kill it. Maybe it'd give us a chance to rest a bit as well. We... we could give it one of the bugbears, and then ambush the sucker when it's eating. If not, we should likely find the prisoners as quick as we can and then get some rest somewhere before we come back to destroy this Glasstaff person."
"Are we in good enough condition to fight that thing? I don't think it's hostile as long as we feed it other wise it would have revealed us, we should feed it the bug bears while we take the prisoners out we're on a time limit" Brom drops the morning star equipping his sheild and war hammer once more.
"Ask the goblin for prisoner locations, that is our priority. We may not need to fight this.. creature.. if we can just save the prisoners and run out of here." Delmon adds.
Ophirinn has been quietly taking in our current situation. "Our first priority is the lives of the people who have been take prisoner. I believe we should have Droop guide us to them, then we can take them out the way we came, and yes feeding the monstrosity that's living in the cave one of the bugbears to make sure it doesn't attack the villagers. We can then have a rest before coming back to deal with the others in here."
Nate intently listens to his comrades. "You are right - let's have Droop show us where the prisoners are. Then on our way out we can feed a bugbear to that... thing."
Nate would wait for Leo to communicate with the goblin as it seemed he was getting along best with it. If/when we leave the room, Nate will follow along mid to end of the pack. Torch no longer lit. No weapons drawn.
"Oh... what about... him?" Nate then points to the KO'd redbrand.
Leo conveys the message to Droop, who is willing and eager to please. Yes, I can take you to prisoners. I show you, I show you. But... he hesitates and looks afraid. You keep me safe, yes? Safe from eye monster? Safe from bone-men? Safe from red men? Please?
Leo has asked him to speak only common, not goblin, which now that he has calmed down, he is able to do so. You can all understand him easily.
Droop indicates that you should go back to the large cavern with the crevasse, then north and east. Are you willing to follow his guidance?
