"Why, you want to get robbed? I'm going to assume you are new round here, and don't get how things work but generally you don't accuse a couple of nice young girls of being thieves. It's not like we'd admit it anyway. But really, why do you want the Oilers?" the other girl asks stepping up to Brock getting close to the pit fighter's chest but looking up at him straight in the eyes.

"Of course you are, old friends I'll bet, why don't you stop wasting your time and speak to Kyve and the others." She nods in the direction of the Burning Tavern. "He'll talk to you, just try and not make a scene, maybe we'll see you later." As she walks on past Valen she adds "I'd put that away love, before you hurt yourself" They walk on round the bend lea ing you in the mouth of the alley.

Valen holds his gloomy looking sword low. "You have nothing to worry about. I don't play with things I don't know how to handle. Something you may not be used to with the boys that run around here... Thank you for the suggestion."
"No luck on this fox hunt it seems," Valen says to his companions. "I guess we can try out luck at the tavern now."

As the woman got close, Brock would have kept his hands on his valuables but otherwise not move as the woman got close. "You could have just said you were Oilers" He would mutter as Wallis addresses the girls. As the two of them leave, Brock would look to Valen and Wallis... "See! I knew we would get the information we wanted coming down this alley" He would say with a grin.
Insight to determine if they were totally oilers 10
The trio walk on back out of the alley turning north towards the tavern. The majority of the people out are moving in the same direction and as the party move the noise gets louder and the streets are brighter.
Cautious now and in the lookout for pickpockets they seem to show it in their movements and the locals give them some space. As the tavern looms up in front of them the lights from both floors open to the public illuminate the area fully, more street vendors take advantage of this and a small cluster of food sellers hawk their wares near the entrance.
As you enter the noise of the crowd continues unabated, obisy seems to pay you much attention and you have a moment to take it all in. The two storey area is fairly busy, the night is still young and there are even a couple of small tables left free. Oil lamps and two roaring fireplaces provide light and heat, but the upstairs area just relies on the lamps and seems much darker from where the trio stand. There are a number of servers coming round to the patrons and the bar which dominates the far wall has several bar staff.
By one of righthand fires a rowdy group of young men are already very drunk, at a table nearby several dwarves and eating and drinking heartily. There are several tables in the centre where many mixed couples and groups seem to be eating and drinking together, the banter is loud and friendly, they seem to be a close group and the lefthand fire place is largely empty so far. There are a couple of people eating and a large man with a very large axe strapped across his back making a serious dent in what looks to be his third plate of food. In a seat by one of the window sits a man, minding his own business eating while at a table nearby a couple of young women laugh at great volume at something one of them has said.

"This is a pretty nice place" Brock would mention over the sound of his grumbling stumach as he takes a deep breath through the nose. The smell of delicous food making his mouth water as he looks around the room. "So who do you think we should talk to?" He will say looking to his friends.
"You seemed sure of yourself before. What's changed," Wallis ask wryly looking around the room for a man who fits Glandon's description. "I think the staff would be more helpful than the patrons. Maybe with a few coin could point us at least in the rightish direction," she offers looking to both Valen and Brock. "Diplomacy," she then says, "is the order of the day," she adds with a curt serious nod then smiles.

"Who exactly are you, sir?" the server replies, politely but firmly "I am not on first name terms with all of our patrons, you for instance I do not know, maybe somebody called Kyve is here, they may be enjoying an evening of diversion and not looking to make new friends though..." she looks at the group as if appraising them "Can I get you anything? We have a very good roast goat and the beer is the best you'll find in the Cracks. There is a table over there, possibly you'll find your friend once you've eaten, or possibly he'll find you." She says the last to Valen and then waits, clearly expecting an order of some description or an indication they would like to use the table.

"He's an old friend of mine, and I've been told he frequents here. I'm just trying to track down a mutual acquaintance."Valen looks over to the open table and considers taking a seat. "If you know where I might find him, I would be much appreciative if you pointed me in the right direction, and afterward perhaps I will have some of that delicious goat that you mention."He reaches out to her hand with both of his, giving it a gentle caress and depositing a gold piece.

(Oh, holy shit! LOL... I'm feeling very Golver-esque right now.)
"Pardon my friend... his brain is a little soft after a few too many sparring matches with myself" Brock would say with a grin. "Truth of it is... I knocked the damn memory of his friends face right out of his mind! We are supposed to meet him though... he is supposed to have a job for us.... and since the only one of us that knows him cannot remember his face... it would be great if you could help us out." He would say with a wink as he slides a gold coin across the bar.
OOC - you do not have a gold coin, you have next to no money, a handful of silver each but your high roll will get you through ;) my fault for not specifying an actual amount.
The server recoils like she has seen a snake, as Brock starts talking she quickly calms back down, but does shudder once more...
"Well I can imagine he would struggle against someone like you." she says, looking at Brock's impressive biceps in particular. "Kyve is upstairs, but I didn't tell you that - long blonde hair, sitting in one of the chairs that overlooks the dice game, last time I saw. Would you like a beer and some food? On the house, just you, not your friends. Oh and you really need to learn to lie a little better if you are going to get on in the Cracks handsome" she leans in and whispers to the fighter. Without waiting for an answer she prepares to move away back to the bar.
"The goat is two silvers, beers are one, sit down and I'll bring your order, lady you want anything?"
Brock would smile great big towards the woman. "you know what, I will take a beer and some of that goat you mentioned. Thank you very much" He would say with a smile before giving Valen a small playful punch on the shoulder. "Welp, I say we take a quick seat and enjoy a bite to eat and we can make our way upstairs" He would say as he pulls up a chair at a nearby table. "Either of you two know how to play dice?" He would say leaning back in his chair as he waits for the meal.
Shocked that Brock's charm worked better than Valen's the ranger simply follows him to yhe table where she takes a seat.
"I know a few games of chance but I have no idea if I know the one they play here. You know my father hated gambling," she adds with a frown looking around the bar. "That was...nicely done Brock," she then adds with a curt smile.

Noticing Wallis look around, Brock would lean his head back as well... taking in a good long look of the room. "Yeah.. I think the only thing your father liked was.. you" He would say as his eyes fell back on the half-elf. "But then again... I suppose your old man and myself couldn't have been anymore different" He would say with a grin as he places his hands behind his head. "As for knowing how to play dice... I could carve ya a nice set out of some wood scraps if ya got any.. but I don't really play myself. I'll bet on my fists over some dice rolls any day." Brock would say looking from Wallis to Valen.
Wallis stares into the fire, lost in its patterns and pays no attention to the rest of the tavern. Brock pays close attention to the people around him. As he scans the tables next to him he makes eye contact with the very large man with the great axe across his back. The man belches loudly, raises his tankard in greeting and laughs at his own vulgarity before resuming his meal. The group in the middle, full of many young couples seem wholly uninterested in the rest of the world. At the window the two women are lost in conversation and the man eating alone is paying passing attention to all the groups in turn, as he eats. Brock watches as the server goes to the bar, speaks to the Barkeep who looks over at you briefly, calls out an order to the kitchen and then hands her a try of ale which she promptly carries upstairs via the large staircase in the far left hand corner of the room. Nobody can really see anything of the upstairs area apart from the head and shoulders of a few men leaning back against the balcony rails as they watch the proceedings upstairs.
